I LOVE this type of raw honest video. Thank you for sharing your story Simon and I can’t wait to see you turn things around and to follow your journey. You’ve got this!! Life over 40,50 and 60 is great time to make changes and start over.
Hi Simon, thank you so much for your video. I'm 43 and watching your video is like an exact copy of myself. This job we do is fantastic but it's never ending, it's plenty of time to stop for a bite to eat or a burger or something. On the other hand we have the ability and time to look after ourselves while other people are stuck on the merry-go-round. Good luck on your journey I'll be following and trying to do the same 💪
Hi Darren, that is so true and I totally agree, We can do this and I do hope you find a way to get yourself motivated, keep me updated on how you are doing, have a great week, Simon
Goodluck mate! All i can say that has helped me in fitness is taking the time to make your routine as sustainable as possible. Dont go in head first, build into it. And keep crap food out your house, meal prep if you can so you have something ready if you're knackered. And avoid takeaways. You think 1 cheat meal is a worthy reward, but can actually undermine 2-3 days of progress. So really if you agree to 1 cheat meal per week, you're actually undermining the progress youve made that week. It's brutal, but you can do it! Goodluck.
Nice one Simon! I love it when people make the decision to take control of their health because I know how much of a difference it made for me when I made that decision! My advice is get your eating sorted first and gentle exercise like walking. I feel like other times I'd tried to make a change I'd go for an all or nothing approach and would burn out pretty quickly because it wasn't sustainable. Can't wait to follow your journey and cheer you on!
Thank you so much for the message and I appreciate the support, I agree food is the main focal point then get some exercise, hope you have a great week, Simon
Thank you that means a lot, I do appreciate the support, do you feel you are in the frame of mind to start your journey to a healthy living as well, hope you have a great week, Simon
All the best mate, think about you what you eat and drink first. Consider changing coke to water. I stopped drinking pops 2.5 years ago and I don't miss them now.
Hi Luke thank you so much for your support and your friendship, If I can be half as focused on the diet as you I will be happy, hope ypu have a great week, Simon
Well done, Simon 👏, you have definitely got a good mindset. I am looking forward to following your journey. This video has prompted me to take my dog on an extra long walk. I wish you lots of luck, and thank you for being so honest x
Hi Ian, thank you so much for your support I do appreciate it, Im super focused and with a good amount of people watching me its so much more motivating and I feel very accountable. have a great week, Simon
Wishing you all the best Simon. Diet is everything, calorie deficit with moderate cardiovascular exercise for the first 3-6 months, and watch the weight come off! Look forward to following your journey. All the best
If haven't done already.. get some Bluetooth bathroom scales for £30 and the phone app.. weigh yourself the same time each morning and its a really good enjoyable routine/motivator as you can look and compare how you've improved or not each time with loads of measurements...and you will want to beat your last weigh in every week... i've gone from a 42" inch waist to 32"... the bike was my main fat destroying weapon to use...45 min- 1hr every day!
I’m 58 Simon, I also have copd and I had a heart attack in feb this year. I’m still 16.5 stone and, like you, really need to pull my finger out . Good luck 👍
Thank you so much for sharing, I think I have had a wake up call recently with my health and definitely need to change my Diet and exercise, I hope you find a way to improve your lifestyle as well, have a great week, Simon
Thank you for watching, I appreciate you and hope you get the motivation to get healthy, keep me updated how you are getting on, have a great week, Simon
Great attitude to make a positive change. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and keep meaning to start the change... lacking my own engagement and commitment to myself. Keep planting seeds but never watering them. Need to get my mojo back. Good luck with the journey! You're committed to the change and I'm sure it will be a success 🔥
Thank you so much, I feel for you and completely understand the lack of motivation, I have been like that for the last 3 years, good luck on your journey, Simon
Jeez I’ve been bad for a month, I’ve had flu turn into a chest infection a couple of weeks ago, so Mrs sent me off to doctors yesterday! It’s why I’ve been on you tube more than ever!!!
I Feel for you so much, I pick up every chest infection and every cold and sniffle, I hope you get better soon, I do appreciate the support, have a great week Simon
Hi Simon, I mentioned on your live show about getting on my bike on Blackpool prom. Several hurdles have been in my way for years, chronic fatigue/ME, depression & a sweet tooth but I'm 50 next year, so now is the time to get moving. Good luck & best wishes.
Hi Dan, thank you so much for sharing, we all have our own issues and I feel for you, I hope you find an easy path to your journey, keep me updated, have a great day, Simon
Simon have a research on Intermittent fasting with low carb diet , I tried this and was astonished at the results and the weight drops off very rapidly and energy levels through the roof. Tough the first few days . I when full on did a 19 /5 hours split, so only eat in an alloted 5 hour per day window. BIG health benefits
Hi mate. I think we spoke about this at the Indian the other day. I joined slimming world again last week. Been very good all week. Cut out the crap I used to eat in the van at work. Just had my first weigh in. Lost 9lbs. I'm buzzing for that. You know where I am if you want to do something. I'm aiming to go back to badminton before Christmas.
I too am a reseller on eBay, 55 and overweight. I've been meaning to start looking after myself for years. It's definitely now or never for me too. Also the heaviest I've ever been.
Thank you so much for sharing, I feel your pain and frustration, I do hope you find a way to get healthy yourself, keep me updated on how you are getting on. Simon

I’m 53 and every time I hit 14 stone I get on the tread mill watch my diet and do it all again. I know when to stop when the mrs says you look gaunt 😂😂😂
It's great to see your motivation Simon. As a 54 year old woman, I understand how difficult it is. I work FT and do my ebay in my "spare time" and i'm neglecting myself too - I'm aiming at getting in more walking /exercise and not concentrating too hard on work - go Simon 😁😁
Yes it is so tough especially when you have a job as well, hope you find time to look after yourself, let me know how you are getting on, have a great week, Simon
51 sounds like its a good time to get a Prostate Test, having trouble to wee or when having Sex and it feels different it defo time to check, mine was checked at 56 and yes I had it , option 1. 2 years you will die, remove it 12 years left no brainer had it removed, tablet now given me ostioperina so more tabs, Zoladex 10.8 every 3 months since op and now 69 but just cant keep weight of was sent on 9 month pre diebitis coure learning how and what to eat not working for me so the tabs are making me fat i sit around 15.6 to 15.10, but I am alive, believe me i try, Will follow you Simon and wish you good luck ....Joe
Thank you so much for watch and for the amazing advise, It is something I have been thinking about this for a little while, thanks for being so honest and I will definitely take your advise onboard, hope you have a great week, Simon
Hi Simon, I’ve watched a lot of your videos & definitely learnt a few things along the way. I’ve had my own health journey over the past 3-4 years which led me to becoming a qualified PT this year. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to hone in on your food. Movement is important. Steps per day.. a valuable tool. But what you EAT, is paramount. It’s the key. Especially when trying to lose weight. If you’re eating the right things in the right amounts & staying away from heavily processed foods.. even with NO exercise.. you will lose weight guaranteed.
Such GOOD ADVISE, thank you so much, I do agree food is 100% the key, Congratulations on becoming a PT such an achievement, thanks for the support, hope you have a great week, Simon
All the best Simon. Keeping yourself accountable is the best way
Good luck! Admire your openness and determination to succeed!
Good luck Simon wish you the best
