- After half a century's worth of events on public roads were brought to an abrupt halt in 1970, Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello was constructed in 1973 and opened a year later to bring premier racing events back to the area. It quickly became host to major sports car events, lower-level open-wheel series, and grand prix motorcycle racing, for which it has hosted the Italian motorcycle Grand Prix for the past 30 years. In the COVID-19 impacted 2020 World Driver's Championship, it hosted the series for the first time with the Tuscan Grand Prix.
Mugello features two layouts: its 3.259-mile, 15-turn Grand Prix layout, and a 1.4-mile Short configuration. Both start with its lengthy front straightaway and go into the 180-degree San Donato right-hander before heading into Luco and Poggio Secco. The track has been owned by Scuderia Ferrari since 1988, which uses it for both testing and the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali; the Tuscan Grand Prix in 2020 marked its 1000th Grand Prix event.

So excited to give this a shot. Mugello has always been one of my all time favourite tracks. It has a beautiful flow to it.
Mugello is so much fun. You can have some intense GT3 races. Just uploaded a race with door to door racing all the way. Its so good.

I didn't really see them fix VIR or Rudskogen for VR folks so I don't have any faith in that. Stoked on everything otherwise, though. It takes so much tweaking from track to track that I can't recommend iRacing to anybody who doesn't want to turn into a mouthbreathing IT dork.

not sure if this track is just very demanding or badly optimized, but hopefully tomorrow patch gives me some frames. I love this track.
I am in the 40s and 50s in cockpit and its horrible. Even worse from tv cameras. I was used to 141(locked because of gsync) in tracks like silverstone, spa, monza, etc. I keep disabling graphic option, but they seem to make zero difference.
Badly optimized. Horrible pop ups too.
Mugello is one of my favorite tracks been driving on it since the Forza Motorsport 2 days back in 2007 glad to see it in iRacing

Graphics are getting too good on these new tracks lol. I run bare minimum potato graphics and still get fps drops

Well this seems nice. Played AMS2 the other day and realised how lacking in road feel the FFB is in iRacing. AMS2 is such a thrill to drive , but of course it lacks the fantastic multiplayer of iRacing. I just wish iRacing would put some effort into improving the FFB!

Great track, but common, im having to turn down settings on a 4090 to have above 100fps...
Happens to every new track. It will get optimized
They're patching an update tomorrow to optimize these new tracks.
@@dunnock343 why not optimize it before releasing it ? It makes no sense to release content that is unusable for a big portion of members. The guy above having a 4090 and having to turn down detail to get 100fps is absurd....especially being iRacing is supposedly now putting more of the work onto the gpu.

I have a 4080 running triples, still 160 fps capped.
Dont care what anyone says, iracing looks amazing. just has that realness factor to how the cars move and the track and all

This is nice. I would love if you could rescan popular tracks though as many new circuits disappear as quick as they came. The community just votes for Watkins Glen, Spa, Road America etc, there's not a lot of value when you buy Jerez, Aragon, Magny-Cours or Oschersleben, no matter how good they are, unfortunately.
I just realized Autodroma is just Italian for race track, having thought I already had Autodroma and don’t need to buy it.
I call it iRacing Tuscan GP😂
Fun track, but the track limits are truly awful here. Please fix turn 15, as you can’t run the optimal line. And in slower cars it really hurts.

the optimization on these new tracks is so bad.. its almost like every new track is early access until a few patches fix it. feels like a penalty to buy a track at release now.
I’m getting on average less than half the fps I get in other tracks on this one… It’s undrivable unfortunately😕
Same. Have to turn it all to OFF. Which by then, what's the point

It'd be nice to be able to race on the circuit without stutters and 60-80 fps vs a smooth 90-140fps on all other circuits....
It's okay, eventually they'll make all the other circuits 60-80 fps too so you don't have this option to complain about.

Can anybody feel any difference with these "3d curbs"? I have tried several cars at mugello and Okoyama, but the curbs feel exactly the same as before the update. I am using a leo bodnar v2. Also, the insanely low fps makes it a pass for me. I am using a 3080ti.
