Terminator 1984 Alamo Gun Shop Scene

- It was just a normal day for the Alamo gun store owner. He woke up, ate breakfast and kissed his wife goodbye on his way to work at the Alamo gun shop. It was a slow day, only one person came in but didn't buy anything. Then walks in the Terminator, oh this may be a sale! Thought the gun store owner to himself. He showed him the 12-gauge autoloader, the 45 longslide with laser sighting, and the uzi 9mm. He was puzzled when the man asked for a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range but he didn't want to insult him and lose the sale. He then asked which weapon the gentleman wanted, he replied "all". He was so excited at the prospect of such a big sale, he had thoughts of closing early and spending a wonderful day with his wife. He turned around to get the paperwork and it was the last time he would ever turn around. He saw the man loading the 12 gauge with bullets from the counter. He told him that he couldn't do that and the man must not have liked that because he shot him dead on the spot. In an unreleased Terminator movie the resistance sends a Terminator back to 1980 to Terminate the gun shop owner. His existence in 1984 allowed the Terminator to stock up on weapons. So skynet also send a Terminator back to protect him. No copies are known to exist of this film.
Alamo gun shop is now permanently closed
Sherbet_Bomb 😭😭😭no!!!!
He may even still close early. Don't sell the man short.
Sherbet_Bomb no kidding. It was special made for the film.
Its a stupid Mexican store now.

Lmfao, I love that description the uploader wrote.
Glad you enjoyed it!

@@HerecomestheCalavera That should actually be a film
The description is somehow the best part, even tho i specifically came here for that clip.....
@@HerecomestheCalavera Remember the Alamo 🤣
I got a job at a gun store in Southern California in the summer of 1987 after a couple tours in the Marine corps. It was actually kind of fun if somebody called with the Arnold voice. Gun stores were so much more fun back in the '70s and '80s.
pre-ban era was the best.
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “Remember the Alamo”
🤦😄
Well, he ended up closing early 😢
Giggty
He won’t be reopening either
Permanently.
RIP To Dick Miller 1928-2019
He had a good run
The most iconic weapons I see: franchi Spas-12, Springfield armory V-16 longslide 45, IMI uzi & armalite AR-18
You know your weapons buddy!
Anyone of these is ideal for home defense
Just what you see pal !
AMT Longslide not springfield armory you could see the AMT logo on 0:23 on the lower
Lmfao that’s an AMT Hardballer, the first stainless steel automatic handgun produced. Also incidentally the same 1911s chosen by Hitman

Phased plasma rifle in a 40 watt range
That hardballer is such an iconic gun. I want one so badly. Perfect handgun for the terminator.
Me too
The guy, who walked out of shop was shown later in the police station. It is he, who was trying to break away handcuffed. As it seems, he was beeing suspected for this very murder.
In the movie "Last action hero" you can see T1000 walking out the police station, right in front of Jack Slater alias Arni and the kid Daniel.
OOH! Nice plot twist!
Epitaph: "You can't do that... Wrong "
The description is a nice touch
OMG! The twist ending was EPIC! Very well done 👏 👍

Exactly what i thought.
It was the 1980s
It was the 80’s pal

It's important to remember that this was a time before mass shootings became as huge as they are now. This movie was shot even before the 1984 McDonalds massacre
Hahahah I love how he says a full-auto uzi is ideal for home defence
A standard Uzi would be pretty decent actually, in the hands of a trained user.
Well it would be when loaded with low grain hallow point and the shooter is practiced in handling automatic firearms
'Murica
As is with literally any firearm.
I mean if it's good enough for the Secret Service then (they used this when Ronald Reagan was shot), it's good enough to protect my property.
And this guy was a week away from retirement.
I love how he has to wait for handguns but he can just take the rifles.
God bless America
@@tommykirk3403
Not in all states. In many, if you have a CHL you walk out with them that day. Even if you dont, if your record is clean your background check can come in within minutes and you walk out with them that day.
There isnt even a limit on the number you can buy but they are required to inform the ATF if you purchase more than two pistols within a certain time frame.
@@tommykirk3403
Me too which is ridiculous since ammo can be anywhere from 20-40% less when you buy it in bulk
In the 1980s it was a 5 or so day wait to get the guns thanks to that background, boy whoever lived that timeline had good things from the store chips candy and soda all for a buck, if only they had the same tech we had
@@ashtonerby8890 I was just thinking about this comment. That's weird.
Good luck buying those guns in CA today

I love the scene, but your description made the scene even more interesting.
"In an unreleased Terminator movie the resistance sends a Terminator back to 1980 to Terminate the gun shop owner. His existence in 1984 allowed the Terminator to stock up on weapons. So skynet also send a Terminator back to protect him."
I mean, you joke, but that still would've been better than Dark Fate.
Well, he *definitely* closed early that day. 😄
I never knew that about the gunshop owner in 1980. Awesome Information!!!
Rob Garrett gunshop owner
Well, he did close early ...😂😂😂😂
I got kicked out of a Gun store for asking for a "Phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range"
Great ending. RIP Gun Store Owner
Gosh I do love being a gun store owner during 1984 servimg arnold
Notice how he didn't ask for a mosin nagat. It's because even he knows those guns suck. lol
Steven Nunez Nah, if you float the barrel you can do some long range sniping
hahahahaha
Tell that to Simo Hayha.
@@harrisn3693 Probably won't be the assault type for a cyborg, imagine a Terminator between every shot just bringing back and front the bolt, probably would make it look less like a cyborg
Surprising how the guns tore owner didn't seem frazzled or concerned with the firepower that Arnie was procuring and requesting... unless he thought Arnie was an ultra wealthy weapons enthusiast?
I'm gonna ask for a phased plasma rifle next time I'm in a gun store.
It's been over a year. Have you been to a gun store and asked for one yet? lol
In the words of the dementia-ridden president Biden:
"DON'T! DONT!"
"I'm gonna close early today"

I love how the Terminator is a gentleman in here when he says please plasma rifle any 40 watt range
The Predator would taunt his targets by replaying "hey just what you see pal"
AMT hardballer 45 longslide with laser sighting a classic iconic gun
I could see him asking for the .44 Auto Mag
I've never thought of this until now but if he was going to shoot the owner and take the guns why did he bother talking to him at all? He is a Terminator! Wouldn't he just walk in snap the owner's neck then take whatever guns and ammo he wanted?
It makes the scene more interesting, and it also makes him appear more human-like. Which not to mention is part of his disguise. There's lots of scenes where the Terminator could've savaged Kyle Reese, Sarah Connor and stuff, but I think the idea was to keep a 75%/25% balance between man and machine.
Well the owner is behind the counter and the terminator can't reach him from there even if the terminator jumped over the counter snap the owner neck the owner wouldn't stand still and the terminator is showing the shop owner his an idiot to leave live ammunition on the counter then load the 12 gauge and shooting him with his mistake and then taking the guns.
Just to make this scene cooler, him walking around and killing everybody from start to finish wouldn't be so interesting probably.
Because it was faster for him to hand him the guns he wanted The shop owner knew where all the weapons were on the shelves. It just played out that when he walked in.
Agreed, it's a faster and more efficient way to get the guns he wanted, instead of searching for them after he killed the Alamo's owner.
12 Guage auto-loada
The description had me in tears!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Why would a Terminator even say “wrong”? Are they programmed with a sardonic wit?
Lol yeah
It was created to kill people until it finds its target. So if it wants to kill, IT WILL KILL, NO EXCEPTIONS, NO BUTS, NO COMPROMISES!
It probably programed to answer back.
It’s their “black humour wit circuit”, integral to the Terminators circuitry
Reminds me of a similar scene in Commando.
"If you want your kid back you'd better cooperate, right?"
"Wrong!"
Such a moving tribute at the end, fly with the angels gun store guy
I'm surprised the T800 didn't ask for a tactical nuke while he was at it. 😆
80% of Arnold dialogue is in this scene, that "autoloadah" gonna hit hard
The .45 Longslide Arnold buys is a custom 1911 variant known as the AMT Hardballer with silver plating and battery powered scope.
I recall seeing in a behind the scenes video that in order to power the laser they had to have a big battery pack hooked to it which Arnold hid in his pocket or somewhere. Even with the battery pack it had a terrible runtime of only a couple of minutes.
@@HerecomestheCalavera For 1980s technology it was the best thing they had at the time since portable battery cells didn't come into use until years later.
@@HerecomestheCalavera Batteries were fucking shit back then. Even worse for Ni-CAD rechargeables. Batteries today last at least 5x longer.
@@Kit_Bear It's actually the laser. Back then laser pointers usually used a helium-neon laser since that was the only thing that was cheaply available. The problem was that they are incredibly inefficient compared to a solid state laser so it takes a lot more power just to get the same effect.
These days lasers are much more efficient so a pointer can be powered by a watch battery.
I think Uzis are not sold so easily like that. But in early 80's in Califórnia, everything was possible
You could buy an Uzi at a legitimate store in California even in the 80s?
@@twistedyogert This was before the Firearm Owner Protection Act of 1986 which banned the sales of automatic weapons, this would also eventually lead to those “assault weapon” ban many years later.
Whoever the President was that signed this, I hope there’s a place in hell for him.
Machine guns came with 200 dollar ATF tax stamps since the National Firearms Act in 1938. But they could still be purchased, sold, and manufactured for commercial sale freely. It wasn't until the 1986 Hughes Amendment that put heavy restrictions on machine guns. All privately owned machine guns had to be manufactured, registered, and given a registration number by the ATF by May 19, 1986 to be transferable between private citizens. Those failing to comply would be in possession of an unregistered machine gun and therefore felons. Machine guns can still be bought and sold today, as long as they are FFL holders, pass various background checks, pay the $200 tax stamp on their FFL, and can afford the gun itself. Since 1986 it is no longer possible to register new manufactured machine guns for commercial sale, therefore there is a limited number of transferable registered guns in the US, and the price keeps getting higher.

Он вообще глазами моргал, когда стрелял из этого пистоля с лазерным прицелом по первой Саре Коннор. Типа, нежные сенсоры берёг от вспышки :-)
At least the guy who played the gun shop owner in the Terminator didn't die like that in real life. He died of old age or "natural causes" at 90 years old
He was wearing body armour.
