- Yet another kichen makeover! Will I ever stop?
I fell in love with the look of stick on tiles and thought they would give me that as close to possible look of real shiny sexy grey tiles! They have really done the job. These were super easy to use… apart from putting them behind the plug sockets… some of that was super difficult as you can see in one part of this video! Apart from that they were a breeze. I will mention here that I did have to superglue some edges down after a few days because some of them had started peeling. Once this was done though they really do look fab!
The stick on/ self adhesive tiles I used were from:

I think I spent just over £100 on these. If you are brave enough to install your own tiles then I would definetly go for that but if you want something quick and easy to put over exsisting tiles or just on the wall then these are a great option!
There are lots of similar ones around you can mostly buy online and there are lots of different designs to choose from too! - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Oooh great stuff .I watched your old one a few weeks ago it spurred me on to do mine ! I only did the utility part 2 cupboards but it looks fab . The next step is the main kitchen with like 16 cupboards! Love those tiles ! I need them !
Ohhh you can do it! I am super excited to try frenchic paint on them soon but I think I'm going to have to do bit by bit!

I actually copied your last DC fix kitchen makeover and I loved it for a while, but like you, now I fancy a change... I want to do the sticky back tiles too, as well new surface vinyl, but I'm going to go for the red tiles, with 3D black granite effect surface vinyl.... Thanks once again for the inspiration! Nice. You inspired me to do my kitchen and its turned out great. Thing is I'm going to have to have to buy a new cooker, as it's 20 years old and looks grubby despite it being cleaned lol.
They are a nightmare if they are old aren’t they. I’m so lucky I’ve finally got a new one! I clean it every day now hahaha!
It looks greate. I ordered the same tiles from Amerika yesterday, because you can not find them in Germany. I think Amerika is the DIY-paradies. All the greate thinks I find on Etsy came from Amerika

Remove outlet covers then apply your stick on tiles. Easy to cut around the ho l e while leaving just a hair into the hoie, then replace the outlet cover.

Very pretty! One suggestion; replace the under cabinet lights with battery operated ones. The hanging cords are crazy making!
I actually replaced my battery ones with these because they are brighter hehe
I have tidied up the wires a little since this, and there are things in front of them so I don’t mind too much.

Love this! Can I ask if you can see the imprint of the joins of the old tiles underneath at all? Also where did you get your little drill from? I've been using my boyfriends and it's so heavy! That little one looks really nifty!
I'd say you can a little but it's not obvious if you're not looking for it. I got it from Wilko online! It was only £15, it's just a little electric screw driver! Honestly wish I'd bought it sooooo much sooner! It saves so much time!!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm looking at getting the red ones to compliment my kitchen cupboard fronts and I like your template idea. I've been thinking about doing a template but didn't know the best way of doing it. Would you recommend a Stanley knife to cut them or a guillotine/paper cutter? What I'm wondering is which is going to give a neater more accurate cut? I love your energy btw. I live in rented accommodation and there is no splash back and the correct paint wasn't used so rather than repaint it using the correct paint I thought this would be better and far nicer. Jazz the kitchen area up a bit 😁. I'm excited to do it now 😁

I have those in my kitchen but in all of the kitchen makeover videos I have watched none have them so again, thank you. Haha! I think speeding the footage up helped! But it really isn't too hard... just the one I struggled with really between two of the plug sockets! You can totally do it!

How does the counter sticky plastic cover withstand heat great makeover👍
No problems at all although I never put a pan directly onto my worktop without a heat matt under anyway.
It looks great! Does this work for bathroom tiles? Also do you know if I can lay stick om tiles over lino or would it be better to replace the lino?
Yes, but maybe not the ones directly in the shower or you'd have to seal all the edges to make it fully watertight.
Do you mean for stick on floor tiles? You might be best contacting someone who sells them. There's a link for where I bought these and they do sell floor tiles. Good luck!

Hi Miss! Thanks for the great content! I just have a quick question regarding the old DC wallpaper that you used their own glue for - did it come off relatively easy? I can see some marks, but I assume that’s just the paint coming off of the tiles.
Would love to try at home but kind of worried the glue might be hard to remove from my porcelain tiles.

Hmm yeah I'm trying to remember... and I think as well as the paint coming off it did leave residue!

You should’ve made the wood lined up with the other on the contact paper.

Aw this is lovely! Thank you for leaving a comment! Well, I didn’t like the white trim for the tiles so I just used some matte black tape under the stick on ones so that the trim was then black. Hope that makes sense. I just kinda made it up :)

Looks lovely but my eye is drawn to the unmatched tile pattern above cooker area. Is the dc fix strong enough to withstand dog claws jumping against them?
They are still like that and I don't mind. Not sure what I was thinking haha

The tiles between the kitchen cupboards needed cutting first so as to maintain the brick course effect.
Yeah I kinda didn't do that on purpose but now regret it haha

Hi we are considering these tile stickers for our kitchen too. Just wondering how they have lasted. Did the ones near the stove stay on? Also in your video, you mentioned some came undone straight away, what do you think was the reason they came unstuck?
I think it was mostly where my sink area is - so lots of water. Other sections lifted too but not really sure why.

Does it stay on and not bubble when you have the pans on the stove and the room gets a bit steamy
Yeah I never had a problem with any steam from cooking. Although, they did peel back a little in some places. If you watch one of my more recent videos... I've actually used real tiles now! 😁🙌🏼
What are the grey strips on the edges you used when you finished?
Just strip silicone... easier than using the messier kind!
Are these flame resistant? Is it ok to put it as backsplash for gas stove?
I'm not sure. My oven is electric so haven't had a problem. Maybe ask the company.

Thank you so much! The colour for the work tops in the end was Sheffield Pearl Grey. The cupboards are Matt Grey. The tiles are just a grey and the link is in the description for those :)

I think it was probably around £100 from what I remember. They were helpful if you measure your area and ask them how much you need they will suggest the amount for you :)

I changed it 😬 it did last well, although some areas I did have to reglue because it started lifting. Watch one of my latest videos... I have tiled properly now!!! 😁

How good are these foils in terms of durability? 2 years passed, how they're holding?
The tiles held up really well... Some edges did start to come away so I topped it up with super glue. But... There's a new video going up on my channel in a couple of days where I've taken them off because I'm going to do real tiles! 😁
Is there a covering on the front that should be peeled off?
Yes it comes with a clear top cover too. Stick them down and then peel off the cover 😁
Hi! This sounds a little bit stupid but I wanted to make sure. Are you putting the tile stickers over tiles? I want to do something similar to our kitchen, the tiles we have are dated and not very attractive but we don’t have the funds to have them removed.

It was easy to do to be fair… although some areas are pealing and I have to add extra glue!

Not too bad! I've had to use a little glue on some of the edges of some though!

Not had a problem at all. I have an electric cooker and it is away from the wall a bit too.

Get a free pallet and get some wood bits to put under your cooker so it's level with the counter top

I want to do my kitchen with same subway tile in black. Soo apprehensive about it but you make it look easy. I may yet take the plunge. Retiling is going to cost upwards of £450 just labour, and I'll have to buy the tiles seperate 😟. This may be the one.

@Miss Moogle any links on the type of stick on to buy on amazon UK? I've searched amd there are loads, I don't know to get thick or thin, or big or small. The ones in this video look like thin 30x30cm rather than thick sturdy ones that I've seen on amazon...

Funny thing is that these self adhesive tiles are way more expensive then ceramic. It's just easier to put on.

DIY's were great, but as someone who's partially deaf, the music was just too overwhelming, and I wasn't sure if you'd bne talking over the diy, but I eventually gave up, sorry.
That's ok, it's not for everyone. I always have the music very low in the background whenever I talk in the video so that you should be able to hear me clearly. I just put it higher when I've got some footage of me just getting on with the process 😁

Great videos for inspiration but,, to my mind, they are too long and detailed if that is the purpose…and nowhere near long and detailed enough for instruction/tuition purposes. Obviously this is only my opinion & I’m not meaning to criticise… hope you can accept my ‘constructive feedback’ in the spirit of goodwill!

They are…. although I did have to glue some of the corners down. To be completely honest, I’m going to use proper tiles this year! New project!!
