It seems like an eating disorder from problems stemming from childhood. For toddlers food is something they have control over their parents with, and if this isnt worked through gently with love it may result in a battle of wills which turns into full blown mental illness. People who are fussy with food were likely weaned too soon or too forcefully. There is also evidence to suggest mushed up food causes texture issues and baby led weaning is becoming more popular.
I can’t even imagine her salt intake I mean if she eats chips for breakfast lunch and dinner, fries on “special occasions”, and mashed potatoes every day MY GOD

She showed these really small bags of crisps in the beginning pouring them on plates showing how much she eats and told us when she eat the snacks but then they said her parents buy about a 100 bags of crisps every week which means every meal she take more than what she shew. Bloody Britains
You know Joanne makes a lot sense to me I feel like Joanne might have the same disorder as my little brother.. My little brother was diagnosed with Dependent Personality Disorder when he was tween and he and Joanne seem pretty similar. They both have a select few people they could trust and they're both extremely submissive to everyone. My brother also submitted to things he didn't want to do because he was scared of losing help from others (also to who it may concern, no nothing bad he just said he believed in certain things when he really didn't) and while Joanne wasn't exactly like that, she still was in a sense as she needed her parents and boyfriend to reassure her that something was "safe" or "reliable". Now, am i gonna be like certain other people who say things like "the professionals suck this clearly wasn't the answer, they should've diagnosed her with XYZ or tested her for XYZ"? No. Because at the end of the day i'm not her, or a psychologist and this is an hour long video so i can't really "diagnose" her with anything without getting the whole story, so i'm just kinda sharing my perspective.
I never get ads during these videos. There could be one at the beginning and I hit Skip Ad as soon as the option appears. I went into Manage My Add and unchecked all the boxes - it gave me a lot of pleasure to do it.
The positive I see is that people acknowledge deep rooted psychological issues when people have addictions and eating disorders... Asian parents (I'm South Asian..) will just yell at you and force you to eat the meals they put in front of you while ignoring whatever other psychological issues that need to be addressed. Also, I never had crisps unless it was at a party or at the movies---my parents never stocked that stuff at home.
the fact that she's calling every-day, regular kinds of people weirdos and is scared of everyone and everything should have been the first sign that this is about more than just food. and it shouldn't have taken this many years for her (or her parents) to seek help. they were definitely enabling her childish behaviour and encouraging that fearfulness and her dependency on them, and that's hella messed up. even just watching this makes me feel all kinds of icky. how is someone who is suspicious of every stranger supposed to go to university and grow up and forge her own path through life

Im sorry but~
WHO TF HOLDS THEIR FORK LIKE THAT?!
That’s beautiful how she had a breakthrough!!! I hope she’s still making Strides!!
You guys should do an episode about a Mexican kid's addiction to hot cheetos
The fuck u r talking about, is ust normal diet to all of us
The Great CooLite trueee 😭

HOT CHEETOS ARE THE SHI
Y los pinches takis 😂😂😂
She should have tried FRESHLY cooked veg, especially something like baked carrot or breaded zucchini fries
Zucchini fries are so good aswell
These good ..
She turned her nose up at carrot and swede mash.
Oven baked veggies, some olive oil and salt. Yum
“On *special* occasions Joanne has chips”
At the chip shop: “Hey Joanne the *usual* ”
The way she refers to random people as weirdos 😭😭 "weirdos again, theirs millions of them out there"
If that's a Toddler's Diet, I'd like to have a serious talk with the parents!
Yes. Rice pudding and semolina are kids' diets. I am 30 years old. I love to eat rice pudding since early childhood.
Her crunching away at those bloody crisps would drive me insane!!!! 😱😳😱
Yes I have misophonia and I would probably swing for her crunching all day
My sister had a similar sickness from the age of 6-10. It still effects her tho. Except in place of potatoes it was nothing. Like she went two weeks and didn’t eat anything. She got hospitalized for 3 weeks. She is way better now!
That's anorexia right? Glad she is better now 💜
@@amiradekha8057 it’s actually ARFID but that is what they thought at first. She was one of the first kids to ever get diagnosed with it. She was the “test subject” you could say. That’s why it was so scary, bc the doctors had NO experience with this.
@@abigailbaker1729 what’s ARFID?
@@stormyfleur avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. people with arfid eat a limited variety of food
@@abigailbaker1729i’ve had arfid since 2 years old and was only diagnosed at 18 and still hardly any doctors know about it
She seems to have bad attitude. Bit of chip on her shoulder
J Ketcham lol I see what you did there that was a good one mate

Everyone in this comment section is saying "she acts like a 5 year old" yet it seems like they have never seen someone with an addiction before...
She's blessed with good metabolism. I can inhale and gain 5 kgs
I'm addicted to oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, had to be the right proportions though
@The Yee Guy I suggest you try introducing some carbon monoxide, that should break your addiction permanently before long.
@@36minutesago7 You were right, but now my doctor says there was too much and now I'm poisoned
@The Yee Guy Your doctor is a quack, up the dosage and you’ll be fine.
@@36minutesago7 No need for such foul language, you don't want to be like those knockoff geese
@The Yee Guy Too true, vile lot they are.
I think it’s hilarious that the first food she liked was shellfish considering that a lot of people with varied diets don’t like shellfish.
Maybe cos it’s soft? It does smell funny though
I so glad she succeeded. Hope she continues.
Wonder how she is now
I can’t even imagine her salt intake I mean if she eats chips for breakfast lunch and dinner, fries on “special occasions”, and mashed potatoes every day MY GOD
It's the oils you've got to watch out for
That haircut makes her look 15 years older than she really is
Korinna Beckenbauer really. Agreed. It’s definitely not a hip haircut for a young lady imo
Wrong. This was the style in the late 2000s. The middle part apocalypse is 10x worse
She cries how I cry when I'm really worked up and when I was little!!
I thought it was really strange and uncommon!! (Which i think it still is lol) Its wierd like a hiccup but with air idk fam ;-;
Kawaii Jess it’s called hyperventilating
Sobbing
they really brought her outside looking like that
To shake some reality into her
How cute is her grandma 😍😍😍😍❤️ Bless her
I've never seen an adult have such a problem maneuvering a fork.
Joan : Eats 5+ crisps packets a day
Skinny...
Me: Drinks water
Welcome to my 600lb life...
She isn't skinny, look at that muffin top. She isn't healthy either.
The whole family needs help.
We just need the full episodes of Benjamin and Natalie’s now. Wanting the cheese addict, crisps addict and junk food addict especially lol
Also the fact that her parents never met her in laws…. i think it’s so important for parents to meet their children’s partner’s family
They're teenagers...
@@nuck- that is especially when its important (for most teen couples at least)
She showed these really small bags of crisps in the beginning pouring them on plates showing how much she eats and told us when she eat the snacks but then they said her parents buy about a 100 bags of crisps every week which means every meal she take more than what she shew. Bloody Britains
I don’t think I have never seen her mother stop smiling😂
9 ads, good grief that's just plain greedy!!
Lol..... that’s nothing for almost an hour long video!
We watch some millionaire mukbangers with 22 or 28 ads for an hour long episode.

Asians are the best at raising kids. I admire their ways and strong family ties.
Just love Asians 💯💚
the one thing that annoyed me is how she just put the crisps in the bin- it's quite a waste! i hope someone would go back after and get them back.
the fact that she's calling every-day, regular kinds of people weirdos and is scared of everyone and everything should have been the first sign that this is about more than just food. and it shouldn't have taken this many years for her (or her parents) to seek help. they were definitely enabling her childish behaviour and encouraging that fearfulness and her dependency on them, and that's hella messed up. even just watching this makes me feel all kinds of icky. how is someone who is suspicious of every stranger supposed to go to university and grow up and forge her own path through life
How did she even get a boyfriend? If she doesn’t trust anyone outside her family
It happens to some people parents can be over protective and not even realize it.
