3:23 was really helpful for me thank you OMG 😭💕 ive literally been going through multiple tips and tricks videos and pages in hopes to actually learn how to speed read and didn't find one until i found this vid 😭 They're always like: "speed read and find the keywords" and id be like "how th do u even speed read though?!?😭😭"
these are amazing tips, many other videos gloss over the time pressure aspect which makes it seem like this section is only about comprehension when it's very reliant on how you allocate time! and you also explain how to actually go about improving skills which is super helpful, thank you so much
Basic approaches T F CT 1. look at q first. 2. pick out a keyword from question 3. scan passage - identify keyword and location 4. read sentence before and after to get context. 5. see if the keyword is elsewhere to see if there are any contradictions STATEMENT BASED 1. read options available 2. select keyword from the statement answer options 3. use similar to previous section technique (scan, identify, and read around) important skills - speedreading: don't vocalise all words you say in your head. get out of habit saying it in your head. SOLUTION: use cursor to read quicker. Chunking technique: read 3 chunks of words as you read. a. start with timed practice from the get go. b. note how many q you skipped c. if something can be inferred from the passage then it can be true.
I started practicing for verbal reasoning. Honestly I was so scared. After watching thz vdo I got confident. Thank you very much and keep posting UCAT vdos. Thanks again
I normally would just scan for key words but if you have some extra time or the passage is really confusing then it can be worth reading the entire passage

do you recommend reading the passage for most stems or do you think you could get away with just scanning for key words
I normally would just scan for key words but if you have some extra time or the passage is really confusing then it can be worth reading the entire passage
