Please correct me if I’m wrong
    1) One need CREST form only if they applying for trainee job and doesn’t need it if applying for non trainee
    2) please make a video on MRCPsych. Exam about all 3 steps and study materials
    3) What subjects do we need to cover for MRCPsych. Exam only Psychiatry or any other ?

Hey Monisha! Firstly thank you for making this video!
    Secondly
Sooo once I finish my plab 2 and my gmc registration!
I need to work for a minimum of 3 months to get my crest signed!
And after which u r suggesting it’s better we work for a min of 6 months in a non training job..!
    Right?
Just asking wudnt the three months that we will be working not enough for us to gain the nhs experience?

    Hello,
Thanks a lot for this video. It sorted a lot of stuff I needed to know.
My doubt is can a Casualty Medical Officer provide evidence for the competencies provided in the checklist? Also, do we need to provide proof for consultant's registration along with the form, or just his registration number is enough?

You recommend that don't start training directly, first do a non-training job. But what if one is applying for MTI?
Do I need to get crest form signed for MTI?

Thanks for the video.. I have a doubt..
I have done 7 months of internship in China and the last 5 months got cancelled due to covid-19..
I have again started a 12 months internship afresh in India and completed..
Will my 7 months of IN-Person internship in China be accepted towards 24 months experience to apply for a training programme?

In the beginning of the form it asks for the Applicant GMC Number ..... Is it the registration number that we get after passing both the PLAB exams or the GMC reference number that we get on creating an account on the GMC website?

    Hello, thanks for the video.
My question is if I want to do my training in psychiatry for example, do I have to get it signed by a consultant in psychiatry or any consultant who observed me for 3 months would work? Would they prefer the CREST form signed by the consultant of same department where I want my training?

Hi, did you get a response to this or figure out this?
I am in a similar situation, my direct supervisor is registered on the Specialty register in my home country and functions in the capacity of a consultant but technically is employed as a Specialist, I really would just like to know if he can sign my crest form.

Can a senior resident whom I have worked under as a JR, sign my crest form? This senior resident is now registered with the GMC and working as specialty doctor in Oncology. Can he sign my CREST form as I have worked under him for 1 year during my JRship?

    • @drmonishamishra
      @drmonishamishra  ปีที่แล้ว

They should have been a consutlant when you were working under them. I am not sure if Senior Resident is considered a consutlant or not. GMC has every right to reject the CREST form if the criterias aren't found satisfactory. So, maybe clarify with them?
