1. In posts, should I add my whole employment history? Or should I only add the employment when the signing consultant supervised me?? 2.If I have my crest dully signed, full GMC Registration but not the license to practice at the time of application, can I still apply for training job(st1)?? I will get it before start of training but will my application be accepted?
1. Only the employment when the signing consultant supervised you goes on CREST. Your full employment history goes in the Oriel application. 2. License is not needed at the time of application, only by the start of training
Hi, Thank you for the video. It is very helpful. I do have a Quesition. I got my CREST form signed by overseas consultant. I understand that their registration document needs to submitted as well. Should I submit it along with the CREST form or will they ask me later. I would appreciate your response.
Potentially, depending on If you are still able to get CREST signed from a job within 3.5 years of the start date of training and if you meet the eligibility criteria for the specialty you are applying for you can. Please read through the person specification for details
Hello sir, I have done my post in Jan 2023. And the consultant I have worked with then is signing my crest form. So can I mention the date of completion when he is signing it that is in 2024 or when my post was finished in 2023. Please help me with this query
That depends on which specialty you are applying for. Everyone starts GP training at ST1 level. For some specialties you can directly enter higher training at ST3 or ST4 level if you have the right experience and competences signed off, but you wouldn't need a CREST for those as that is only for ST1 / CT1 training posts. Please go through the person specification and official recruitment site for the specialty you are interested in for details
Thank you !! Just a quick question…I will finish 2 years postgraduate internship in Japan by March 2027. Am i eligible to apply for MSRA exam in November 2026 window? I will have finished my 2year internship by the time the post starts which is probably in August 2027, but will i be eligible to apply as i wont have finished internship by the time of application? Thank you so much! 😊
The eligibility to start training includes having at least 12 months clinical experience after full registration with your medical council - in most cases this means 1 year after completing internship. If you got full registration after 1 year of internship then you may be eligible if you get a CREST form signed. Please contact the recruitment team directly to check about your specific circumstances.
Thankyou sir for this informative video...just wanted to know if I get my CREST form signed right now and attempt for January exam, would I be needing a new crest form again for the September exam or the current signed form would still be accepted?
Sir housejob experience isn't considered to sign of crest form? Do i have to work 3 months paid under a consultant, after my housejob? And lets say i dont get it signed in my home country then i can work under consultant in uk to get it signed off? Thirdly after getting my crest form signed from home country, am i exempted from FY2 post? Means I can directly apply for non training job?
You can get your CREST form signed from your house job if you demonstrated the criteria. CREST is a requirement for applications for training at ST1 / CT1 level. It is not relevant/ required to apply for a non training post. CREST is only one requirement to apply for training. You still need to meet the other eligibility criteria, which may differ for each specialty. You need a minimum of 2 years clinical experience including internship to start training at ST1 / CT1 level. CREST does not exempt you from the experience required.
@@EmedicaEducation how about GP ship? Can I apply directly after getting crest form signed? (Let's say am not getting non training job and gave msra exam)
You can apply if you will have 2 years clinical experience by the start date of training/ meet all the eligibility criteria. Please read this article for details www.emedica.co.uk/applygp.html
If there are errors on the form, you will usually be given 72 hours to correct them. If you have not submitted a correct form by the end of the application window your application will be withdrawn and you will not be longlisted
Hello Dr Rahman, I have a doubt, Can an overseas graduate with one year of experience is eligible for CT/ST or gp training if they get thier CREST form signed ? Can a doctor with 1 year of experience get a CREST form signed ??
You can get a CREST signed if you meet all the competences, but would not be eligible for training as you need 2 years clinical experience by the start date of training to apply for ST1 / CT1 jobs. CREST is only 1 criterion - you need to meet all of them to be eligible. Details for GP training at www.emedica.co.uk/applygp
Hello, hope you are well. Really love your content sir. I have few doubts regarding the end date of my current post as I have to enter this in the training application as well as CREST form. It mentioned in the application, to write the end date as the day before the training commences, but when I try to look for the training commencement date, it is not confirmed yet. 1) What would be wise to put in the application as the end date of my current post? 2) Should I do the same in my CREST form if I'm getting it signed in my current post? (or shall I just put UP TO DATE?) 3) Does the duration after the application closing time count towards the mandatory one year experience after FY1 to apply for training post? (Eligibility criteria) I would be grateful if you could kindly answer my doubts. Thank you so much.
1. Training for round 1 starts the first Wednesday in August, so the end date will be the first Tuesday in August. 2. Either option is fine 3. Yes, as you only need the required experience by the start date of training, not the time of application

@@EmedicaEducationshould the joining date of the job be from January 2021 or the end date? When is 3.5 years calculated from? Joining date or end date?
The period the competences were signed from needs to be at least 3 months full time equivalent continuously within 3.5 years of the start date of training. You'd need 3+ months from February 2021 onwards for this round as jobs start August 2024.

That won't be confirmed until nearer the time
What a straight forward explanation. May god brightens your path.
What if application got submitted, but crest form is incomplete. Can we re- submit crest form again ??
If you submitted a CREST and it was incomplete or had errors, you will usually be given one chance to resubmit a corrected/ complete CREST.
