    Hi, Thank you for the video. It is very helpful. I do have a Quesition. I got my CREST form signed by overseas consultant. I understand that their registration document needs to submitted as well. Should I submit it along with the CREST form or will they ask me later. I would appreciate your response.

    Thank you @emedica for this very informative video. Just to be sure, if I worked with a consultant from January 2022 to April 2022, can they sign my crest form for the 2025 recruitment year? Many thanks

      @EmedicaEducation  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately that is just outside the eligibility as you need at least 3 months full time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years before the start date of training. As training in the next round will start 6th August 2025, you would have had to work at least 6 February to 6 May to be within 3.5 years. If your job ended in April, you will be a little bit short. You can contact the recruitment team directly to confirm.

    It is better to be signed by one or more
    And if I was working continuously for 9 years in one place, should I write it from the start period? Or better to write starting from the last 3.5 yrs

      Only one consultant can sign the form. I recommend you get it signed from the most recent eligible job

    The eligiblity requirements states there should be no more than 18 months experience for the applied post at the time of starting the post but the job I am currently working will give me experience of 18 months and 5 days in that speciality at the time of start date.
    How do I manage that?

    • @EmedicaEducation
      @EmedicaEducation  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can either resign from your job early so you don't go over 18 months, or apply for ST3 level later if you can meet the requirements for that as you won't be eligible for this particular job if you complete more than the experience allowed

    Is it valid to apply for an ST3/ST4 post if you are applying from another country? What if a consultant is registered with the GMC but without a license to practice at the moment; can they sign?

    • @EmedicaEducation
      @EmedicaEducation  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      CREST is used for applications for training at ST1 / CT1 level. For ST3/ST4 you need a different form for alternative competences. If you search for the specialty you are interested in, you will find the relevant details in the person specification

    Hello, hope you are well. Really love your content sir.
    I have few doubts regarding the end date of my current post as I have to enter this in the training application as well as CREST form.
    It mentioned in the application, to write the end date as the day before the training commences, but when I try to look for the training commencement date, it is not confirmed yet.
    1) What would be wise to put in the application as the end date of my current post?
    2) Should I do the same in my CREST form if I'm getting it signed in my current post? (or shall I just put UP TO DATE?)
    3) Does the duration after the application closing time count towards the mandatory one year experience after FY1 to apply for training post? (Eligibility criteria)
    I would be grateful if you could kindly answer my doubts.
    Thank you so much.

      1. Training for round 1 starts the first Wednesday in August, so the end date will be the first Tuesday in August.
      2. Either option is fine
      3. Yes, as you only need the required experience by the start date of training, not the time of application

I will have finished my 2year internship by the time the post starts which is probably in August 2027, but will i be eligible to apply as i wont have finished internship by the time of application? The eligibility to start training includes having at least 12 months clinical experience after full registration with your medical council - in most cases this means 1 year after completing internship. If you got full registration after 1 year of internship then you may be eligible if you get a CREST form signed. Please contact the recruitment team directly to check about your specific circumstances.

      If your consultant is in a non acute specialty like this, and they tick everything as personally witnessed they may query how some of the competences were achieved in this setting. If they have ticked evidence received for some competences and provided details of an appropriately qualified person for that, it will be fine.

      You can get your CREST form signed from your house job if you demonstrated the criteria. CREST is a requirement for applications for training at ST1 / CT1 level. It is not relevant/ required to apply for a non training post. CREST is only one requirement to apply for training. You still need to meet the other eligibility criteria, which may differ for each specialty. You need a minimum of 2 years clinical experience including internship to start training at ST1 / CT1 level. CREST does not exempt you from the experience required.
