Not really. While I'm very certain of Nasser's guilt and deserving nothing less than the worst punishment. If we allow one case to be settled this way, we allow all the other cases that involve an emotionally charged public to be settled with a rope over a tree branch. And it is justified in this case to hate this man, but equally there's been countless examples of the public being turned on a wrongly convicted person by the media, police, politicians and other sources. One famous example in my own country off the top of my head being the Guildford IRA bombings. Almost the entire country was out for Gerry Conlons blood and wanted 5 minutes alone in a locked room for killing innocents, but if they had done they'd of killed and tortured an innocent man.

I wanna make sure it's crystal clear....." Father: "You haven't lived though it lady!" I'm sure there are few things in life that can equal the rage of a man whose daughter was molested by someone who they trusted. I know revenge is not for us but I honestly can say that given the situation, I don't think I would have reacted any other way.
Cycle of 7's regardless, it is a courthouse and if this sets a precedent, then technically any relative can start beating up defendants. She was in the right otherwise this could have just been solved by a mob.
I'm not implying that she should have allowed it, nor am I in favor of mobs beating up defendants. I acknowledge that it's not the correct thing to do, however I can sympathize with the man to a degree for not being able to hold back given what had happened to his daughter. Put yourself in his shoes.
Cycle of 7's I understand that yes in that position, the actual victim would be one with the right to physical hurt him however it is still a courthouse and it doesn't waver rules for any reason in order to make sure that justice is served. Larry might have gotten a bruise but that father would spend time in jail and it will show on his record . nassar has been sentenced to die in prison. That is the justice he deserves.
Really? Since when does a victim have the right to physically harm another? Your logic makes no sense. You believe it's wrong for the father to seek revenge but it would be justified for the plaintiff to do so? Plus, I don't think her father cares if he was sent to prison. That's why he charged in the first place.
Cycle of 7's what do you mean where is the logic? Think about it for one sec. the person that was actually hurt is the victim. In a non civil settlement, the victim's right is to demand punishment to their satisfaction. The father is a separate person. Yes, he has a right to be angry because he is related to the victim however he is not the victim. And he might not care about jail but it doesn't mean the law or govt forget that. Assaulting someone in court is not just jail, it's a criminal record that will bit you repeatedly in America. Instead of adding to their family's pain by going to jail, he could have accepted the sentence. Every person wanted to hit that monster but they didn't because the victims deserved to not have the sentencing jeopardised in anyway.

Would you try this silly act outside? No, of course not. Then why try to intimidate a slender doctor inside a packed courthouse. This doesn't bode well for your manhood, does it? You desire to be brave -- but you prove the opposite. You indicated that he took your child's life. They seem to be all alive and standing there -- all three. That pat on the shoulder at 1:14 from the cop and hearing a cop saying "We understand" screams volumes. They know how he's feeling, respect to the father and respect to those cops who understood a father's pain and anger.
If they understood they wouldn't have gotten in the way.
@yawningpheonix Yeah, sure thing! It's in court, in front of a judge and cameras. If they didn't react, then they'd most likely be dismissed or fired for not doing their job. They need to remain professional at all times regardless of how they personally feel. What a ridiculous comment.
It’s actually hard not to even cry when watching this. The sheer anger and emotion this poor dad feels for his daughters is heartbreaking. You can see his pain
and yet he was one of the ones who didn't believe his own daughter while she was being abused
Cry? Seriously? Why do so many Americans have such an overreaction to everything? Also, the guy embarrassed himself.
This father has a better understanding of justice than all the lawyers and judges in this country combined
Have you ever heard of innocent until proven guilty?
Nope lol there is no right or wrong. Only human opinion.

The bloodlust present in this thread is very troubling.
I am giving the father an applause.
After the attempt on Dr. Nassar, the Judge, or another female in the room at the end of the video has the nerve to say "You cannot behave like that. Noone can behave like this.
