The death penalty is neither assault nor battery as it is not unlawful. You're not guilty of committing either crime in a case of self-defense for instance.
@@ZodzillaPrime it's not about if it's lawful or not. It is rather about if it is morally correct to kill people for what they did. It turned out so often already after the execution that the people were innocent... In my opinion the death penalty is not appropriate in our time any more
JJX5 S5 the only defensible positions are no death penalty ever and death penalty only in matters of absolute certainty. So that's fine that you think that. The original comment equated it to assault and battery but those are crimes and the death penalty, legally applied, is not. It's a false equivalence. I happen to disagree that the death penalty is never justified but then I've known people who have been killed and people who have lost children to malicious violence rather than negligence or accident, and so I'm approaching it from a particular point of view. Which is that what goes around comes around and at a certain point you forfeit your right to be around anymore. Serial rapists, murderers in cold blood, child molesters etc. I just don't think it's sensible to act like we should take care of these people, they should be gotten rid of, but only if we know for sure and so generally speaking I think we probably shouldn't do it anymore either until such a system of proper application is hammered out but I'm not going to make too much noise about it.

This was dealt with VERY gracefully. The dad clearly acted in a split second, and it was clearly a knee-jerk reaction. He had a chance to calm down and the judge lectured him very firmly but was still clearly understanding of the dad's intentions. This wasn't dragged on for a long time, only just a few minutes for the dad to realize his actions and give a heartfelt and sincere apology. He didn't apologize directly to Larry, because Larry didn't deserve an apology. But the court did deserve an apology, which the father did a great job on.

Additionally, the courtroom belongs to the judge, which is why we address them as “Your Honor” and stand when they enter and leave the room and demand our highest respect to the judges.
She's the first person I've seen in these kinds of videos to admit she doesn't understand what he's going through. Everyone else seems so adamant to make clear, "I understand your frustration" like you're empathizing w/ him. You're not. I can count on 1 hand how many of these cases came to light and the abuser was tried and punished. I don't know how he feels because nothing remotely as gross has happened to the ones I love. Edit: the ending monologue of this father shows us all how human we are and even the most calm of minds can break when confronted w/ such trauma.
One out of every 9 girls in the U.S. have experienced sexual abuse at the hands of an adult. So it's actually incredibly likely that you know someone who has been abused like this. It's also incredibly likely that this judge has a loved one who was the victim of sexual abuse. My mother was molested by several family members. My older sister was molested by a babysitter. My partner was molested when he was a child. I was groomed when I was a young teen by a man who was a decade older than me. A lot of people know what it is like to feel helpless to protect the people they love from predators. It is not at all an uncommon feeling. I can understand the perspective of the father and why he lost his composure, but I am still proud of him for admitting that it was the wrong thing to do.
I do agree, if anyone ever touched my child it would be hard to stand in the same room as my child’s perpetrator. I can see why it was hard to hold back, i wouldn’t be able to.

One out of every 9 girls in the U.S. have experienced sexual abuse at the hands of an adult. So it's actually incredibly likely that you know someone who has been abused like this. My partner was molested when he was a child. I was groomed when I was a young teen by a man who was a decade older than me. He should have been disciplined. He broke the law, he tried to assault him. That is illegal. Just because someone did something wrong, he can’t try anything. He should be acting much more mature, especially while they’re in a courtroom
Malec I agree with you. But I'd be quiet. You'll offend the sensitive leftists and they'll say you're some kind of Nazi. They forgot what maturity is tbh. Lack of facts too. It's illegal. Period. I don't wanna hear "if it was your daughters.." Or any of that shit. In a court room? Hell no. Charging like that? It was assault. Not battery though. He didn't get to him. Outside though? Yeah. I'd get a hit in. But I'm not doing enough to go to jail for it. Then the daughters would be shit out of luck. They put away the guy who traumatized them, but now the dad is also in jail for assault. Honestly... Then libtards blame the court system and say it's a joke.

And this father was completely justified because Nasser deserves no favors.
Celadrial you're actually so dumb
>in America things are decided by a jury of people
Exactly. It's decided by judge and jury, and NOT the father. The danger here is that people think that what the father did is morally acceptable. For this reason he has to be punished etremely severely, to show everyone that the law is absolute.
And Nasser does absolutely deserve a fair and lawful trial without threats of extralegal violence.
