hello from Maine! really appreciate all the great content. you have helped me catch so many more fish. got into more serious bass fishing two years ago and thanks to the knowledge I have received from you, I am able to create fellowship through fishing at my local church. I know its a haul but if you ever have a chance, come up here and try fishin. there's something special about floating down a river slaying smallies. maybe you will even get hooked on fly fishing for them.😂

Tyler, I have to say thank you. I've just started fishing this week and you do such a good job gearing your content towards new anglers. I love going out after work and trying out the tips you give. Although I haven't caught anything, I enjoy every bit of it. I'm fishing in SW Florida right now, originally from Dallas, and I travel all around the country for work. It will take me some time to get used to all the things I need to be doing, to learn all the terminology and general feel for fishing. I even spooled up my own reel and set up my bait for the first time a couple days ago. You don't over complicate things and it makes it so easy to follow what you're saying.
Again, thank you for your content!

Used the app two days ago. Used a spinner bait, which was the 5th option for lure, and caught an "ice cream cone bass" that right now is my PB as I am new to Bass fishing. I am going to a lake in Prosper where a friend caught 4 pounders upwards just several weeks ago. Cannot wait to hit a big one soon. Thank you for all the tips, it has helped me not only start catching bigger but it has also helped me help my kids.

Good stuff. It's rare that anyone mentions California though. It's been unseasonably cold here, with a lot of May Gray and June Gloom. The only thing that I have had luck with as of late is a 3.5" swimbait on an underspin. I target the bass that are jumping for shad and then burn it just under the surface. Can't wait for warmer temps so I can bust out the 10" worms again.

Light line is more natural and can throw further. Heavy line sometimes needed for big fish, heavy lures and snags. Braid is a different style of no stretch line. Most people would recommend 8-10 lb on a spinning rod and 12-15 on a bait caster to start.
