So cool! I realize "cool" doesn't make much of an artistic-sounding statement, but I kept saying it throughout the process of your creation! It's beautiful! I completed my first resin experiment. It was a learning process! What I learned is that once fully cured, I will be fixing what I don't like about my project! I am inspired by your work andl advice through each step. Now I am hopeful my experiment will be an actual work once I have finished. Thank you for sharing your talent. Blessings.
Kimberly O'Brien That’s so cool that you did your first piece I’m so excited for you . once you start it’s an addiction lol just have fun Thanks so much for watching my videos ❤️😘😍
I love orange, reds, and yellows, I don’t use these colors often, but I do love their sunshiny feeling....beautiful pour and looks great with the black background
I am loving the cells and lacing! Everyone says to use Artisue Snow White pigment paste to achieve that but wow! Color cottage is doing the job I think even better! Nice piece!
I just have never seen anybody do that and it really does give it a 3-D effect Monica. I love watching you keep up the good job. You really are an inspiration
Cara ` Bullock Omg I just saw your message I am so sorry I missed it That’s so crazy to because you’re comment was about me answering them Thanks so much Cara ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful ! Thank you for explaining what your doing and why your doing certain things . Very helpful to those of us who are just starting out. Great tips and your very inspiring.
Your videos have me inspired to make me an Alabama theme piece. I have so many questions. The main one is when I’m done mixing the piece, do I let it dry on it’s own or do I need to do anything to it after it drys.
Your work always turns out so beautiful. I have a question, do you tape the back of your canvas along the edges, so it stays clean? Thanks Monica. Keep up the good work.
Carol Main No never if you tape the back and forget to take it of in a few hours you can’t get it off I hardly ever use a canvas unless it’s really small I use MDF boards which I just use a grinder on the back to get all the drips off it takes a literally seconds thanks so much Carol
creative outlet I use a torch on every video sometimes I have to cut it out because I can only do 15 minute videos because I don’t have a computer I usually use both I don’t prefer one over the other it’s depends on what I’m doing
karen devanney Yes The resin does pool to the center I never use canvas unless less they are really small for that reason I always use MDF boards and for the drip I bought a small grinder and I grind them off it literally takes 30 seconds thanks ❤️
Cheryl Lavoie I never use acrylic paint with resin I think I’ve tried it once but did not like the results at all it’s a water-based paint and does not mix well with resin
Thomas Heidt They are called cake molds they’re listed underneath my description so if you click on the link it will take you right to Amazon I tried to make it easy for everyone thank you so much Thomas
Ludmila Dandrew I am not sure I got it from Home Depot I think any kind will work . Also all my supplies are listed underneath my video if you hit that little triangle up on the right-hand side it pulls down all the information and all the materials that I’ve ever used but I’m not sure if the torch is on there thanks so much Ludmila
Nimra Fakhar Hi Nimra yes It is very expensive the type I use is art resin on larger pieces which is $200 a gallon the smaller pieces I use a cheap resin that is $80 a gallon you can do it on just about any surface except for plastic thanks so much Nimra

I have used Resiblast I am not a big fan it creates pits in your painting and it’s hard to get the oil off very hard
Beautiful,,,!,

Im in England and would really like these pigments too
Lonny Coyne
I know these are amazing pigments and she is working on shipping out of the country
What do you use to get the resin off your gloves .... very cool.
Laurie Nye
rubbing alcohol
Hi Monica, love your work! I have a question, can you use actual paint to mix with you resin, or does it have to be only pigment? Thank you so much.
Your videos have me inspired to make me an Alabama theme piece. I have so many questions. The main one is when I’m done mixing the piece, do I let it dry on it’s own or do I need to do anything to it after it drys.
Dennis Thompson III
No just let it dry on its own
The resin will continue to move slightly but it should be fine have fun thanks Dennis
Your work always turns out so beautiful. I have a question, do you tape the back of your canvas along the edges, so it stays clean? Thanks Monica. Keep up the good work.

this is so beautiful!! love the amazing effects you got!!
Hi Monica! Wonderful! Is it possible to use poliester resin for the same effect?
Claudia Pereira
I think you can any resin to get the same effects
Thanks so much Claudia
@@MonicaBarnesArt , thank you so much. Keep on the good work!!! :D
First time i've seen you use a torch, do you like it better then the heat gun? Beautiful work☺
creative outlet
I use a torch on every video sometimes I have to cut it out because I can only do 15 minute videos because I don’t have a computer I usually use both I don’t prefer one over the other it’s depends on what I’m doing
Hello ! I love your paintings. How do you get cells ... with the Heat Gun ? Merci !
Odile Jenouvrier
Thank you so much Odile
I just push the colors with the heat gun push them around as far as you can then you can get cells ❤️
Will the weight of resin pool in centre of canvas and how do you deal with drips on the sides as it hardens totally new to this form of art x
karen devanney
Yes The resin does pool to the center I never use canvas unless less they are really small for that reason I always use MDF boards and for the drip I bought a small grinder and I grind them off it literally takes 30 seconds thanks ❤️
Do you use just acrylic paint and resin mixed into all the paint? Thanks
Cheryl Lavoie
I never use acrylic paint with resin I think I’ve tried it once but did not like the results at all it’s a water-based paint and does not mix well with resin
Nice work!!. Have a question, do you paint first with rust oleum paint? or do you need to paint first with acrylics? Thanks in advance!
Yes on this Canvas I did use black rust oleum first
Thanks Alejandra
how did you keep your edges covered. mine always seems to sink the middle and then I have to always do a second coat to get the egdes covered
Rainfeather1
Yeah I have the same problem that’s why I hardly ever use a canvas unless it’s really small
Like this one
Where did you get your feet that you set your art on
Thomas Heidt
They are called cake molds they’re listed underneath my description so if you click on the link it will take you right to Amazon I tried to make it easy for everyone thank you so much Thomas
Can we do it over a tile?
Nimra Fakhar
Yes
Great Art !!!!
One question, did you put some silicon ??
Capistrano Decor
No I did not just clear resin on top thanks so much
What do you lour in the paint again?
Kelli Fry01
It’s just clear resin on top
I wanted to ask - what kind of torch you have.?
Ludmila Dandrew
I am not sure I got it from Home Depot I think any kind will work . Also all my supplies are listed underneath my video if you hit that little triangle up on the right-hand side it pulls down all the information and all the materials that I’ve ever used but I’m not sure if the torch is on there thanks so much Ludmila

Monica, do you use a generic spray paint or is it something specific and fancy?
Hey Tia Tay, no I just use generic whatever’s on sale lol
Tia Tay
I like rustoleum because it sprays real nice but it depends
Monica Barnes Art Thanks Monica! Once again, beautiful work!! You have so inspired me to do this!!!!! 💖💖
Tia Tay
Thanks so much Tia
Tia Tay
Hey Tia are you working on wood You said you couldn’t get rid of the bubbles so I was wondering what you’re working on wood or canvas
Do you level with those feet
Thomas Heidt
No not really don’t need to
They are silicone so the resin will not stick to them
Hola cómo se llama el porvillo y dónde se compra
As cores são preparadas com resina?
Is resin expensive?
Nimra Fakhar
Hi Nimra yes It is very expensive the type I use is art resin on larger pieces which is $200 a gallon the smaller pieces I use a cheap resin that is $80 a gallon you can do it on just about any surface except for plastic thanks so much Nimra
do you think you should have naked flame near those Farts? lol
