Here's to your Fitness Freedom!
Coach Adam - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Hi guys, I created this video to accompany The TRX Fitness Freedom Workout Programs - Find your specific TRX Workout Program for YOUR GOALS: trxtraveller.com/which-trx-program-is-right-for-you/ I hope you found it useful, thanks for watching!
I've been on your physique sculptor program for only 6 sessions, and I'm absolutely loving it. The sessions are quick and intense and I come out really worked. Even on leg days when I thought I wouldn't get much of a workout as compared to squatting heavy etc. Love it man
Hey Connor, that's great to hear! Really glad you're enjoying it. Reach anytime with any questions. All the best!
Hey, i've been looking for this exact videos, i like to travel and looking for a way to exercise and build muscles while traveling without hitting the gym all the time. You really inspired me.
That's awesome to hear, glad it helped. I was in your shoes a few years back and shifting my perspective and direction literally changed my life. Bets of luck with your training!
Hi Adam, I commented on another of your videos recently about whether you’d pick TRX Or bands if you could only have one. Since then, I’ve watched loads of your videos and I’m inspired! I too have the mindset you used to have about needing to be in a gym to build muscle, look good etc and these thoughts were so strong for me that I just ‘gave up’ during lockdown(s) to the point where I’m at my heaviest and fattest (body fat %) because I’ve not trained ‘properly’ (lifting weights in a gym) for a sustained period of time for about a year.
I bought a TRX in the first lockdown, thinking I’d use it because it was all I had but my feeling of needed to be in a gym were so set in my mind that I used it once and chucked it in the cupboard. Your videos have changed my mind or at least opened it to the idea that TRX does work and how to get the most bang for your buck 😉.
Thanks for the inspiration and I really look forward to getting stuck in and keeping an eye on your videos for the tips and hints.
Cheers
James
Thank you so much for you message, really glad they were useful to you. I feel what you're saying and can relate from years back. The biggest eye opener for me years ago, when I stopped using a gym and began only training with a TRX was: The muscle doesn't know if you're holding a dumbbell or a handle. All it knows is the violent contraction you can place upon it through a range of motion.
After that everything changed. Internal focus and mindfulness within training became my minds eye focus and anywhere in the world with a TRX became my exercise temple. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on: hello@trxtraveller.com
Hi Adam, thanks for sharing your story, reaffirming the mental health benefits of being kind to yourself and focussing on you is so important, continual comparison is toxic and unfortunately is served by a lot of ego driven gym goers, not judging having been a gym goer for over 40 years rather drawing a conclusion, good luck with the cutting challenge and happy holidays
Thanks David, wise words. Merry Christmas!
TRX Traveller Adam ... some really interesting comments and information here ... I’ve never, stupidly, thought to myself that the body doesn’t know if you’re holding a weight or a TRX handle, interesting 👍🏻 Also the meditation/concentration, mind/muscle side of training, muscle-centric Vs ego and ‘general’ gym type attitude, speed of performing each separate rep. I’ve witnessed so much poor form in gyms, been there myself too when I first started with weights in a gym.
I just train at home now, and your comments and information has invigorated me with that extra motivation and with a fresh and different attitude.
Much thanks 🙏
Steve, Bristol, U.K. 👍🏻🤗🌳
Hey Steve. Big thanks for your comment. It's an interesting thought right?! Yes, I think there's many that stay within the gym ego realm, which is totally cool if it works for that person. And a few who acknowledge the environment and possibly the technique lacking etc to experiment with something different and I certainly think TRX training in ones own space can be the other side to the 'possibly better' fence.
Thank you it's very helpful
Pleasure, glad it was useful
I’m still skeptical about that type of physique with just TRX, but you’ve convinced me to at least give it a try. I travel for work and I’m away from home 8 months out of the year.
Always good to be skeptical. I used to believe 100% that I HAVE TO use weights and a gym to transform my body. The biggest thing I ever learnt years ago, which changed everything... was that the muscle doesn't know what it's holding. All it knows is the tension you can place upon it through a range of motion. When we isolate a muscle, it is 10x weaker on it's own, and when we mindfully connect to the muscle to maintain tension on top of that isolation and weakness, the stimulus to grow is great! Hence why only light loads (TRX, bands, bodyweight) are needed. Technique mastery before hard work.
I am in my late forties and stopped lifting weights in 2010 because of boredom, injuries, too bulky look and gym meatheads and no regrets whatsoever. I only use suspension training anywhere (being in the nature is awesome) and bodyweight training as the possibilities are infinite and thank God no injuries and feel great. Also like to swim whenever I get the chance. One of the things that I have improved is the mind body connection, focus on good technique and peace of mind. I have nothing to prove and yes I can tell you I have a decent physique.
@@aminiznasni4815 loved reading this, thank you. You hit the trifecta on the head - mind-body connection, technique, and peace of mind. The decent physique simply comes as a by product from great focus 💪💪
I ordered my trx and I completely in loved with its
That's great to hear! Glad it was useful. Bets of luck with your training
Love the videos. Very informative. I’ve just purchased a TRX suspension trainer. Thought I’d provide feedback. Your mic sounds very hollow. If you could get a more crisp mic to improve audio it might help.
Thank you so much for the feedback and glad they are useful :). I've just purchased better quality MIC, hopefully, all my next videos will be much more improved both in video quality and sound. Reach out anytime if you ever have any questions with your training - hello@trxtraveller.com
@@fitnessfreedomathletes I’m super keen to get into it. Will need to spend a few more hours researching and getting into it. Looking forward to your new videos.
@@JonnoFly I created plenty of TRX Programs for specific goals right here: trxtraveller.com/trx-programs/ if they're of any use to you. Bets of luck with the training, it's a life changer
Truly enjoy your videos. I know you offer a beginner Trx and band program but do you offer a beginner program using both? Or do you recommend just starting with either or?
Hi Michael, thanks for your comment. Really glad they are useful to you. I don't offer a Program for both, for the reason you state. Better to focus on mastering the effective technique one at a time. Whilst the principles do have cross-over, in my experience, a single focus at a time is best for results and progression.

I always tell people they can potentially build just as much muscle with suspension trainers (or with normal bodyweight exercises for that matter) as with lifting weights in the long run...
That last bit is key here: in the long run... I say that because initially, the typical trainee may notice very fast muscle gains with a proper weight training program, this is because of the physics involved with fixed weights since just picking them up and getting them into position in the first place is like a training session of it's own for the complete beginner not used to the stress on his muscles.
Suspension trainers are different in that you have to *find* the resistance and adjust it because the straps themselves are not the real source of it... there is no "training effect" simply from picking up the straps themselves!
And even after you find the resistance, you have to develop the precise skill of focusing tension on muscles to the maximum... which is not easy for the beginner to do well in and of itself because of all the stabilization muscle involved!
But while the vast majority of people who lift weights regularly will see faster, more dramatic gains in the beginning, those gains will likewise plateau that much faster as well and gains will come *very* slowly and in small amounts after that (and that's *if* they continue to push on after many years).
Whereas suspension training will yield slower but more continuous gains until one finally plateaus from that over a longer period of time.... which gives the trainee something to look forward to not only in muscle size gains, but also gains in improved mobility, increased stabilization, flexibility, etc.
Another great read! Thank you for your thoughts. Really love you deep dive I don't agree it will yield slower gains, again in my opinion it comes back to the understanding of:
‘the muscle doesn’t know what you’re holding (dumbbell or handle) all it knows is the constant tension and violent contraction one can place upon it through a range of motion’
The tool and thus speed at this early point is irrelevant, it's the technique mastery (both in skill and mindful muscle connection intent) preceding hard work, that I have noticed to be the limiting factor. Muscle-centric exercise is the key in my OP regardless of what is used. The TRX just happens to be a very handy tool for fitness anywhere.
I agree and it's precisely that "technique mastery" that will (more often than not) lead to slower gains in the beginning... simply because it's something that will require practice and time to really hone in on before it can be maximized.
Meanwhile, picking up a barbell or dumbbell off the floor or off the rack and moving it is something much easier to do right off the bat... an untrained individual will immediately notice stimulation and some form of muscle gains right away.
Anyway, I like your channel and I'm glad there are You Tubers that are promoting the many benefits of suspension training, which is a *very* underrated and underused piece of workout equipment in my opinion!
Another notable positive effect of trx is its effect on ligaments and tendons... This interesting effect is much much greater than of free weights...
You look gorgous dawling!
Very cool video man! Imo fitness industry is toxic af, everyone tells lies, sells shitty products, tell you "Basic" information and you get injured because the information is not valid even tho its believe to be a norm. Many people say you should lift heavy weight for low reps doing dangerous movements that can easily snap you up. Got minor shoulder injury my self right now doihg OHP even tho my form is really good In that one. Some movements just arent for me as I have always had pretty loose joints etc..
Very true, wise words. I've been there myself many times when I was younger. Feels like I spent more time recovering muscles than I did trying build them haha
Hi! I just came across your channel, I was a gym rat for the past 10 years and a year ago o was in a car accident, I fractured my T12, have bulging disc and a bunch of other injuries…needless to say I am unable to lift weights still to this day I can’t manage more than 15lbs. I purchased a TRX as a few of the exercises I had to to start physio where using the TRX. Now I’m at the point where I need to start working out again as I’ve packed on some lbs during this recovery process, I have permanent damage and chronic pain so I have to be careful what I do so I have to change me thoughts, beliefs and fitness routine and start something new. I’ve been doing some basic beginner workouts through the TRX app and feel stronger already. Do you have any tips for beginning this journey? I can’t do any fast movement only slow and controlled and no impact
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your accident. It sounds like you are on a good path of progression from it though. The correct TRX technique can certainly help as it works with the biomechanics of the body and not against it. I have The TRX TOTAL BODY BEGINNER Program - trxtraveller.com/product/trx-total-body-transformation-program/ which teaches the correct muscle-centric TRX technique via an 8-10 week progressive program. Always here if you have any questions - hello@trxtraveller.com
Trx or resistance bands. ..or both? Just got some resistance bands and thinking of getting some Trx bands. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there! I train about 90% with a TRX and 10% with a band. This ratio does change but not massively. It's purely just that the TRX is a better tool for biomechanics and easier to use in this respect. It doesn't mean the same application can't be used with just a resistance band.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes thank you for the reply. After watching your content and reading your reply, I'll be getting a set of TRX and will use your guidance, using the TRX to Resistance bands ratio. Much appreciated. Great content/channel.
Edit; possibly a video explaining 90%-10% ratio. Again that's for the reply.
@@Bazz11 Pleasure. Sure thing, I'm going to look at doing some TRX and band workouts combined v.soon :)
@@fitnessfreedomathletes I'll be looking forward to the new content. Nothing out there on the combination of TRX and Resistance bands. Thanks again and excellent channel bro.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes good answer man, you been learning some biomechanics, almost nobody does that and just spitts bs all day long.
How many hrs do you workout and how many times a week? , Btw I'm a new viewer and love your content 🔥🔥👍
Hey there, thank you. I hope it's useful content for you. Right now I train 3 times a week full body for 1 hour. It's very intense workouts. I'm developing a new TRX Program, so I'm currently testing / experimenting with it
