When he raps as em he's a far better lyricist shady is dumb fun so shady would have been silly Shit but em responded to everything mgk said and destroyed it
The bar about Diddy and Pac was actually GENIUS. Because after this disstrack, no one focused on MGK but on this bar. Therefore, he died in total anonymity.
"But kels the day the you put out a hit is the day Diddy admits he put the hit out that got pac killed" I translated that as that is never gonna happen, mgk is never gonna put a hit out and Diddy ain't ever gonna admit to anything
He makes my English feel like a 2nd language. Guy could narrate anything and make it sound great. Great reactions and diffrent from eveyone else. Keep at it bro.
No one has ever talked about the cover art of this disstrack. I'm a graphic designer and I tip my hat to the artist of the wallpaper of this track. Notice how the red dot flashes (like when a gun is shot) everytime you hit the play button? Perfectly placed and uses high-level UX design allowing you to interact with the song on another level. The obvious meaning is that MGK is shot and killed every single time this track is played. And it's been played over a couple million times. Which means he's been shot in the head over a million times and died over a million times. The deeper meaning is essentially everytime anyone plays this he is "shooting" MGK in the head. And Eminem is sending a "warning" to MGK that the shooter can be anybody. It could be you - the guy reading this comment thinking I'm reaching with this analysis. or it could be me. It could be your friend. Or your friend's friend. It could be the guy on the table to your left sipping a coffee looking at his phone. The point is this - if you don't heed the warning signs the killshot will come from anywhere or anyone. This warning is further proven by the "fish bone" earings MGK is wearing in the wallpaper. There's an urban legend that in the 40's sicilian mafia would leave a fish bone in front of your doorstep as a warning that you pissed off the wrong person and bad things are about to happen to you. Anyone who crosses the wrong people back in the day would "suddenly disappear". These victims would then be tortured and killed, and their dead bodies dropped in a swamp, or a pond or in a lake to be left "swimming with the dead fishes". Hence, dead fishbone. What I see is that the whole track is not even a warning anymore but a threat to MGKs life.
Expected a lot of reaction on your comment based on your observation and how you explain it's deeper meaning. WOW. Underrated comment! Just like the others above, I didn't even saw the flashing dots until I read your comment. You are correct!
Lmaooo fr. Unfortunately MGK did the EXACT OPPOSITE that anyone in the music scene should ever do; try and beef with Eminem, loose that beef, switch genres, then try and beef with a Rockstar of that genre and loose that beef as well…MGK still wild successful obviously but the dude hurt himself. Kinda laughable but again this dude rich and famous so is he really hurt? Na. Could he have done better and be even more rich by now? Yea probably

Me too!!! When MGK switched genres he was so crap he had to do it twice!!! I have to say all things considered Eminem could have been a whole lot worse!!!🤣🤣🤣
his next album is rap he never switched travis barker just hit him up asking to make an album bc mgk was originally supposed to make an album w linkin park but since chester bennington died that was obv cancelled I love em and mgk and hope one day they can make music
The best part of this entire track is that Eminem said it took him 13 minutes to write. All the double entendres, the hidden meaning, the callbacks.......13 minutes.
@ßruhh Can can't remember everything but there was something about day of 2pacs death and movie "killshot" where its main character has same name that mgk has and in that movie he is killed by police Marshall or something like that (Marshall is eminems name). Then there's reference with I think swayze from some movie where he dies on same day as this Diss came out. There might be some things I got wrong. Most comment sections have at least 3 guys that have written how everything links together. I tried my best english isn't my 1st language
Yeaah, sounds legit, if he says it himself. MGK released Rap Devil 2 or 3 days after Eminem's diss. Eminem released KILLSHOT about 2 weeks after Rap Devil. I love both artists, but food for thought..
You should watch Knox Hills breakdown of the video. He does both rap devil and kill shot in the same video, it’s like 53 minutes and he goes deep on every line man.
I have to thank MGK, for bringing back battle Em. Em stopped worrying about hits and said eat this lyricism, so honestly rip MGK, but thank you for your sacrifice
@Kay E also all the shit he said about mgk was just not even close to to the truth. Em couldn't see the truth if he had a fucking telescope. Em literally called him a mumble rapper. Anyone can listen to all of his songs and not hear him mumble in any of them
@@QUINX1EYE. tbh the mumble rapper bar was the only bad bar in the diss. Em broke down everything mgk said and flipped it on him. Don’t be out here acting like em didn’t say shit

@@JPH3 he didn't address the facts that mgk laid out. Mgk has been banned from shade 45 for years and hasn't said shit about it but once when it happened and em straight up lied and said he doesn't take food our his daughter mouth. Is mgk supposed to just ignore facts and say he isn't the best rapper? He is but it doesn't mean mgk is just gonna sit down and except that he's gonna diss him. Mgk has put up with all the blackballing bullhsit for like idk maybe 5 or 6 years and hasn't said shit when em could of just contacted mgk and been like hey dude that shit you said about my daughter was kinda fucked up I would appreciate it if you didn't say that shit and asked for an apology but instead he went and cried to all his people and got him blackballed instead of handling it like a fucking adult and than has the audacity to diss him like 5 years later. Em is just bored and trying to be a petty little bitch because nobody was looking at him anymore. Also kinda convenient that em finally decided to diss mgk once mgks song I think I'm okay went #1. Em saw a chance to make his name big again by dissing mgk because he was in the limelight and em wasn't.
@@ryanhatfield4518 He's right, tho. As far as the battle went, MGK was dead with Not Alike. Rap Devil were his death throes and Killshot was Em pissing on his grave
@@crybabygbc1026 MGK is not a mumble rapper, but Em throwing him in that bag was a "you suck as much as them" statement. It was purely to disrespect him as a rapper.
My man, Eminem is just exhausting. The man Is a goddamn genius when it comes to his music. So many double, triple, and even the rare quadruple entendres. You can sit all day and listen to a single song and pick out more and more hidden meanings and "over the heads" bars with every listen. I've always said, when it comes to this man a single listen just won't do. You'll miss tons of shit no matter how clever you are. Because only he knows exactly what different parts of the world he is slamming together in every single line and to unravel that shit will take more than a one time listen.
I always find myself picking up on new bars even with enimem songs ive been listening to for years. Most recent one I think went over a lot of heads was in the song marsh when he says hoes are like a spider and trap men and attacks, also sounds like "traps them in a tax" aka child support
Best analysis I've seen to a rap song. "The video was too low quality to tell what was transpiring within the bowl" fucking killed me. Your vocabulary and comments are top notch. Subbed
The more I listen to this song, the more I catch. Em is brilliant. Just about every line has more than one meaning. Even the comments are telling me more than I ever thought was in the song.
Look up a video explaining the Eminem releases before this song and why it is called killshot. Here is a tip: he killed MGK before even releasing the song. It seems crazy but all of the callouts are insane and make all of the weird aspects make sense.
"Lethal injection go to sleep 6 feet deep! I'll give you a B for the effort, but if I was 3 foot 11 you'd look up to me" If you listen to where he enunciates the words, you get 6B3 which is a bulletproof vest. Some more technical writing mastery for you that a lot of people miss (except my best friend who pointed that out to me).
He actually highlights THREE foot ELEVEN as well, which makes it 6B311. It was the flight number that was carrying the cast members of the Killshot movie but the flight ended up getting canceled. Flight/MGKs career just got canceled. Em is literally a genius when it comes to this rap shit
That last line to Diddy was basically Em telling MGK that even if he knows some of the legends personally, Em could diss another legend (and in this case, the legend who signed MGK) and not get dissed back bc they are at a level MGK could never reach.
Exactly, even thinking of diddy trying to respond with a diss track just makes me giggle. Busta is the only one with any chance imo but itd be tough even for him
@Kay E he did not treat women like trash, that was just in his songs, he has never shuffled through tens of ladies and hit them all or anything like that.. also an addiction is an addiction, just because you act like it was "child's play" doesn't make it remotely like that and it's total bs. and like i said before, he wasn't a "terrible person to women"
The starter cap line was what killed me. Starter caps are basically a business thing specially with angel investors. It’s an initial investment towards a business that hasn’t taken off yet. So M saying “starter cap” he played with the Stan song with the autograph but gave it double meaning with the “cap” being a budget and also a hat. I thought that line was pure genius and it’s one of my favourites in Killshot. So M is basically saying “you’re a stan so here’s a little push for you to be in the limelight, you’re a beginner”. Also, the man bun (if I remember correctly) was from the movie MGK starred in called Nerve, which is also a brilliant connection. You got some nerve MGK 😅
Yeah Em has done that insane stuff for years. To get multiple meanings of random things but all connected and rhyming them is just an insane brain he has mastered.
What I love also is the little chemistry double entendre he has. "I had enough money in 02 to burn it in front of you!" Fire obviously needs oxygen to keep burning. Oxygen is also a diatomic element meaning there are two atoms, hence O2 (02) and the year 2002.
Yeah he is the best hands down.. he plays this phrase in multiple ways..."money in 02" (money N02...nitrogen dioxide in air from burning a fuel aka. the money (money and time 02) .....it's the endless layers of an amazing genius
I never caught that bar! This diss track has been out for what a year or 2? How are their still bars people haven’t caught!? If I remember correctly It only took em 2 weeks to put this together. How sway!? How!?!?
Killshot was a slow brew to MGK. MGK wasn't aware how badly he got shot. He can rap but Em is a dangerous lyricist built with the many class O.Gs that Em had murdered too with words. Em is super petty. He will never let you go when he has you in his sights. All those names he dropped, all those tracks are reminders in never to go at Em. Even the best rappers say do not fuck with the white boy. Killshot was a soft shot for him and hard for us. This was a tickle. Em did not go full throttle and that is the scary part
@@dominadors4795 When he kept saying he wasn't a mumble rapper, sounded like he was trying to convince himself lol. I think he went back and listened to that album he put out after this and thought "fuck I am a mumble rapper huh? shit" lol
MGK Was smart to come at Eminem though, he exploded with popularity (both haters and fans), he started dropping fire music again and then switched up genres and made one of the best pop punk albums in years. He also knew there was no "winning" this fight I think, he just called Eminem out for some shady shit he'd done to him in the past and got some popularity while doing it.
@@mattiguessidk Yeah. The song itself sounded fine, but as diss tracks go, it was weak. And that fucking autotune. But the move itself was probably smart, I've seen some braindead people telling me how mgk was better 😂. I enjoy some songs that have mgk in it, as well as the song where corpse is a feature. But there is no way you can tell me that he won this battle 😊 (not saying you did, you're of the same opinion as far as I can tell). He did explode after this, as expected, but I personally feel like he became a mayfly type of thing. He didn't hold on to very much of the popularity or audience. At least imo. Don't know his previous popularity, but I'd expect a popular song or a hit after killshot, but daywalker came out way later.
4:11, I died laughing when you said "Tell me one Gangster that you are fearful of with a man bun" OMG! , EM is on another stratosphere but MGK bought this all on himself!
That Jadakiss line is one of my favorite Eminem lines ever.. the wordplay.. the homage.. the relation to his daughter.. its almost like he named his daughter Jade just to make that line one day 🤣
"One call to interscope and you Swayze" - Patrick Swayze did a movie called Ghost where his character was shot and killed, and became a powerless spirit trying to warn others of danger.
Eminem is on Interscope, he made them so much money that with one call he could get MGK kicked off the label. One call to Interscope and you’re Swayze... Swayze played a ghost and he’s dead IRL. Eminem makes one call and MGK is off Interscope, MGK is dead
“Pop champagne to this” MGK recorded a video of himself dancing and popping champagne on Instagram when he heard the song “Not Alike”. Just putting it out there 🤟🏼
“Locks” also refers to his hair color. Em used to be known as the blonde haired rapper. He’s been rocking his natural brown for a bit now. “Nothing’s changed but the locks”
It's definitely a play on Jadakiss being part of the group LOX but we know Em can make something mean three different things at times. Locks on the door to hip hop.... Lox the group that Jadakiss was a part of... Locs =Hair #Triple
I’m about 3 yrs deep in tryin to really get Em’s bars, and lyrics. Sometimes it’s like you can listen to it literally or you can take the alternative version and it’s a completely different rap. Fucking mind blowing🙌
number one thing I leaned about him eminem, never question your interpretation of his bars, because he's intricate enough to have thought about every possible meaning.
The only people that thought MGK did well are people who literally just listen to the beat and the flow and watch MGK standing there acting tough. Those people aren't interesting in analyzing lyrics or looking any further into it. Meanwhile...one of the dudes switches his entire genre. Lol. Oh and for those that don't know...this MGKs diss track was originally uploaded to Sound Clound SIX MONTHS before he actually released it. Meaning...it was all a ploy to get attention for himself and try to sell more records. I was so happy when he did it... More people should lyrically come at Em... Fans of Hip Hop benefit from the results. :)
The locks line was actually a triple entendre. He also was referring to the fact the only thing different about him is he's not bleaching his hair anymore.
@@JarredCarneyOFFICIALBULLDOG palate (root of the mouth, where flavors are separated and categorized) and palette (a tool that holds paints of many colors for easy or reach and mix, all different mediums can be drawn from). Either could fit.
That “locks” bar is a quadruple entendre. He’s also referring to his hair (locks) because he used to be bleach blonde but now he’s rocking his natural dark brown hair color. That for me is probably the best bar in the entire song.
You don't think someone called Em Goldilocks at some point in his career? I think he probably def meant the change in hair color too. Dude's clever af.
@@jharris4854 a figure of speech is just slang dude.. "locks" has been referenced to just hair in general. Curley, straight or whatever color lol just sayin. Em used it to be clever using Connotation like he always does just sayinnnn
a lock just means a piece of some hair - aka Goldie Locks = blonde hair. a strand is 1 hair, a lock is a piece of strands together, head of hair is all the hair : )
that fluffer track MGK put out was so bad that if i didnt know any better i would have assumed it was a set up for a cash grab to promote Em. the only nice thing you can say about it is hey, at least its better than Nick Cannon.
I love that MrLboyd basically also dissed MGK further in the reaction. It's like there is no end to the grave hole that MGK dug for himself over this beef.
The whole dictionary thing comes from the fact that Em once said that he's only read 2 books in his life. One of the books was the dictionary because he never wanted to be lost for words.
Someone may have already mentioned this but the line about the "locks/Lox", Em was also referring to his own hair...changing from the signature bleached blonde 'locks' (of Slim Shady) back to the natural brown 'locks' (of Eminem). Amazing triple entendre!
I understood it as the locks on the doors of the house of hip hop. Nothings changed but the locks as in mgk is locked out, the game (hip hop, the house) is his again so he’s changed the locks. I think Crypt mentions this in his breakdown
@@SailorSeth Well, yeah...that's exactly what it means when taken at face value but it's certainly not the ONLY meaning. Eminem is rarely (if ever) one-dimensional when it comes to his writing. He's a master of wordplay, rhyme-schemes, metaphors & entendres. If you don't look for deeper, underlying, alternate message(s) in his music, you miss out on some of the best (& most impressive) parts!
Super late but I heard it in three ways 1. The rap group the loxs, a rap group 2. Locks in locks of hair. 3. Locks as in door locks. It ties into the next line "give Jade a kiss." Meaning either his daughter Hailey, who's middle name is jade. Or a double entrandra Jadeakiss who's a member of the Loxs
G Eazy and Halsey released a love song together that got an insane amount of radio play, there was a whole two years that MGK couldnt turn on the radio without having a chance of being reminded about that.
@@BurnMyEyes1000 If you're going to call an album produced and drummed by Travis Barker an "affront to pop punk" you might want to sit down. I'm not going to defend MGK as a rapper for a single second. He's below average at best. But the talent involved in making a number 1 rock album extends far beyond MGK alone. Just having Travis as involved as he was on that album immediately gives it cred. That and not even making "Body Bag" a single when it featured Burt fuckin' McCracken, as well as including a Paramore cover shows a respect for the genre. Disliking an artist for a good reason is fair even if that reason is a simple as not liking an album or a song or their career. But there's a line between disliking and being a hater. And whether you like it or not, before Travis Barker helped MGK put this album together, pop punk was a fucking dead genre of the past and now it's right back in the forefront of rock music. I credit Travis more than anyone, and it's not my favorite album in the genre by any stretch. But you have to give credit where credit is due, and if you're talking about a revival of a genre I fucking adore I objectively have to give credit to Ticket To My Downfall for being the catalyst that's making pop punk relevant again.

I've been on a week long binge of people reacting to em and other songs. My pet peeve is when most of the reaction videos miss 80% of the bars. You are the only person actually deep diving through the lyrics. I love it!
"Sometimes a mistake is like wearing white after Labour Day, and sometimes a mistake is invading Russia in winter" and sometimes a mistake is dissing Eminem.^^
Trying to roast and diss Eminem, is a suicide mission if you're stupid enough to do it. Because his words will send you flying back in supersonic speed
Or wearing a pink dress when you had a "tough guy" persona before you got booted outa the real music genre to go scream into a mic. Eminem gave mgk PTSD and erased his personality with one diss track RIP he really wont be missed
The funniest thing is....its not even an accusation. Whether he did it or not there is equal chance of him admitting it XD 😆 the lil apology afterwards made me laugh .
Honestly. It was a subtle shot at Diddy to tell him to put a leash on his puppy cause he was shittin' in his yard. MGK was signed by Bad Boy Records at the time. As for his "apology" well, just listen to "White America" and you will get why it's not really an apology and more of a middle finger :D
Eminem is legend. LEGEND. He was being nice in this 😆😆😆 this was just a warning hahahahah And it's still SCATHING haha. The intelligence in his lyrics is crazy
Sarah MGK buried his own Grave after he dissed The GOAT HIMSELF Eminem and in my point of view NO ONE and I do mean NO ONE should poke the Bear because the Bear will attack you and that’s EXACTLY what MGK did to Eminem he poked the Bear AFTER MGK brought up Hailey.
Here's a few bits you missed - "I need reading material." - basically, he's saying the only reason he responded is because he's bored and wants to create some tabloids. "Got the Diddy okay," - Basically, he couldn't even start anything with Eminem without permission. "I'll give him my sandals." - Because MGK can never ever walk a mile in Marshall's shoes
"The only thing that's changed are the locks" can also mean that the only thing that has changed is Eminem's hair. Younger Eminem(blonde) to Older Eminem(black).
You’re break is top tier, you’re now my favorite reactor. You seriously caught things so intelligently and as a true student of the game. The only thing that I haven’t seen anyone pick up on was the death to benzino track “go to sleep” with DMZ (rip). Keep it up, I’ll keep watching.
I think this is what they should teach in English class with teenagers. Get them to break it down & really think about what is being saying. It’s a way to get them excited about language & how powerful words can be. Love your reaction! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I actually took a Literature class in college comparing writers from different time periods. There was a section on Eminem and looking at the impact he has had on the English language and our understanding of entendres and then compared that to older writers like Shakespeare, Whitman etc. It was one of my favorite classes. Edit: There was a lot more obviously. I just can't remember everything, but Hip Hop in general has had a huge impact on the English language and Eminem is one of the best in my opinion.
I can't argue at all with this. It would likely still be better than common core...if only for the fact that, as stated, it would likely hold the student's interest better. Speaking from experience I can say that, personally, I learned things better when I was interested in them.
Wouldn't work because students would have to know what is going on during the period the piece was written. For Eminem's lyrics, he includes a lot from present and past. Not many are going to care to learn about all of that no matter how many in these comments try to say otherwise. Also, not everyone likes English, not everyone likes history, and not everyone likes this genre of music no matter who is part of the lesson. I wouldn't want to analyze lyrics from rappers but I would if it was from Metal. And it can be said vice versa from someone else. Look at Shakespeare. Yeah, a few people analyze his words and enjoy it because they're into that time period, but not everyone cares to learn it. It would be the same with Eminem.
The ghost line was deeper because he dropped this around anniversary of Patrick Swayze’s death and not to mention Pac’s death also same time. Also google the title Killshot…a movie about a man named Colson who is being hunted or something its just the perfect diss track ever period!
Been a year lol, but figured I'd tell you and remind you of this banger. Em released this diss ON THE DAY of Patrick Swayze's death. Check. September 14th. Em is fucking crazy dude 😂🤣👍🏻
Bruh!! I never had to listen to MGK, I heard Eminem's Killshot and I knew he had won this battle. People who said MGK won don't know anything about rap, they just go with the hype and doesn't listen to the lyrics and analyze them but I'm glad they have you to do it for them. School these bitches sir!!!!
Haha the face you made after the line about getting pac killed is the reason I still love watching killahot reactions. Em ripped his whole song apart bar by bar and then the pac line was the fatal blow imo. He killed mgk, Diddy, and the whole history of bad boy with that one statement lol
That line “Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me, I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze” Seems like a nod to a Biggie verse from Runnin’ (Dyin to Live) (on 2Pac Resurrection Sountrack that Em produced) “That’s why I bust back it don’t faze me, when he drop, take his Glock and I’m Swayze” Layers upon layers
The fact that in every reaction video I watched when em refers to the Tupac situation the look on their faces is just priceless.. the shock is so real 🤟
One thing i learned from watching Em's career? You dont diss Eminem. You dont start a beef with Eminem. People like Ja Rule had their careers ended when Em destroyed those he had beef with. Funny though that MGK ended up just changing genres than leaving the industry.
Pure oxygen isn't flammable but is one of the main triads in the fire pyramid along with fuel and heat.. so injecting it into a fire scenario makes the fire burn like there's gasoline. If you direct a concentrated stream of pure oxygen onto a flammable material (like your clothes) it will likely ignite just from the contact friction. So oxygen isn't flammable but it is highly dangerous.

The issue with people saying "Killshot isn't good" and "Rap Devil is the best diss anyone has done against Eminem" is that these are being judged on the standards of each artist. When "Rap Devil" came out, everyone was surprised that he dropped a diss, and a lot of people didn't have very high expectations. MGKs diss is actually pretty good of you have no expectations. Eminem's response on the other hand, was expected to be the nuclear option. Everyone said "Em's gonna destroy him!" He did, but it was in such a relaxed, father/big brother kind of way. He demolished him with almost no effort, and everyone wanted max effort. So does Killshot compare to Quitter or Hail Mary or Nail in the Coffin? Not when it comes to intensity. Bars and insults are still there, but the almost casual way he dismantled him in Killshot left people wanting more. They wanted him to give that effort. Some people are still disappointed that he didn't, while disregarding how effective it was without any added effort. He almost seemed bored in tone of voice, and that was intentional. Not everyone gets that.

He makes my English feel like a 2nd language. Guy could narrate anything and make it sound great. Great reactions and diffrent from eveyone else. Keep at it bro.
He pauses every 2 words. Pointing out the obvious. Jesus Christ not every line needs an explanation
@@johntully8176 maybe because it's a reaction? He should comment on what he want, because that's what's interesting.
À

@Kay E the man said it! I believe it! That dude is beyond Voracious.
Eminem is the GOAT. Simple as.
Also “I’ll give you a beat for the effort” also works. Another homophone like “hold still/steel” from earlier in the song.
He actually highlights THREE foot ELEVEN as well, which makes it 6B311. It was the flight number that was carrying the cast members of the Killshot movie but the flight ended up getting canceled. Flight/MGKs career just got canceled. Em is literally a genius when it comes to this rap shit

The creativity and multi-leveled complexity of Em's stuff is awesome. He can lay down two bars and reference like 5 different things.
Let’s not forget that MGK got “Rock Artist Of The Year”. So really and truly, Eminem really gave him a rap career and destroyed it.
And he's also a really really shit rock artist, an absolute affront to pop punk.
@@jameson5508 he's awful, the music the masses consume these days is sad to see. Pretty easy to get album of the year. The album was shit, anyone who knows good music will tell you the same. You have these dumb ass teens and young adults these days who think mgk is a legendary artist, they don't know shit.
Except he's still been rapping since the beef ended and actually blew up again 2020 off his hip hop lockdown sessions which were fire. Even nolifeshaq gave praise. Mgk also confirmed a hip hop album announcement this month so idk man lol he's been killing it since Hotel Diablo.
I've been on a week long binge of people reacting to em and other songs. My pet peeve is when most of the reaction videos miss 80% of the bars.
You are the only person actually deep diving through the lyrics. I love it!
Find Knox Hills react he goes even deeper and reviews both Killshot and Rap Devil in the same video.
You should try Stevie Knight :).
thethirdernest ist also pretty good!
I love how this man talks. No beef, no hype. Just facts. I love it. This is the best reaction channel
That’s not a “sometimes” that’s an always. I like what you did there though. 😉
Or wearing a pink dress when you had a "tough guy" persona before you got booted outa the real music genre to go scream into a mic. Eminem gave mgk PTSD and erased his personality with one diss track
RIP he really wont be missed
He has destroyed many careers of 15 minute pop stars riding a fad.
Exactly, wonder why MGK moved from rap to rock after this lmao
I would buy MGK's whole discography if he changes his name to Sling Shot Kelly
🤣🤣🤣
LOL
that would be fire af no cap
That is pure gold🏅🏅
Or Riccohet Kelly because he missed his shot trying to diss Em.
Lmao!! Speechless on the Diddy bar😅😅😅. I LOVE watching reactors REACT to that bar!!
"Bro, what are you doing eating out of disposable cutlery?" Lmao
Outside a Kelloggs factory in Buffalo
This is the best breakdown I ever seen of anything. I'm glad you appreciate the level of devastation Em brought on this track.
There's someone who breaks down every verse and the meaning behind it as well as extra facts and additional meaning
The moment I heard the “hit that got Pac killed” line, I was literally like “yo is he allowed to say that..?” Haha
The funniest thing is....its not even an accusation. Whether he did it or not there is equal chance of him admitting it XD 😆 the lil apology afterwards made me laugh .
Pretty sure Diddy was asking lawyers the same thing.
@@gangr3l The White America “apology” was a reference to Kill You from the previous album. Its a running joke, at this point.
@@bendecidospr yeah he's had the same line on several songs over the years.
Eminem is legend. LEGEND. He was being nice in this 😆😆😆 this was just a warning hahahahah
And it's still SCATHING haha.
You are right there that was one of the greatest diss song I have ever heard
I've watched over 30 reactors do this song, and you're the first one to catch the heart attack bar. Props to you!
Your Lil Tay rant had me dying lol "Lil Tay is a terrible child. Have you seen her bro?" Hilarious caught me off guard with that one
Eminem "Gnat". Or "Darkness" if you haven't heard it. One is like an upper; the other is definitely a downer. Both are great.
gnat still takes pokes at MGK
@Marko Jackson disclaimer at the start spoils it though
darkness would be great💯
Darkness please!
@Marko Jackson its actually a triple!
Omg you killed this reaction!! Love it!!
Here's a few bits you missed -
"I need reading material." - basically, he's saying the only reason he responded is because he's bored and wants to create some tabloids.
"Got the Diddy okay," - Basically, he couldn't even start anything with Eminem without permission.
"I'll give him my sandals." - Because MGK can never ever walk a mile in Marshall's shoes
Get em!
"im not sure if this is done on purpose"....
Eminem: "yes"
"The only thing that's changed are the locks" can also mean that the only thing that has changed is Eminem's hair. Younger Eminem(blonde) to Older Eminem(black).
Holy shit mans a fucking lyrical god I never even thought about that. Nice man

Agreed Eminem was and still is my English teacher! I hated English but I listen to em and it broadened my vocabulary definitely since I was 14
I actually took a Literature class in college comparing writers from different time periods.
Agreed
They say kill shot wasn’t that good because they aren’t able to comprehend it lyrically
Whenever someone says this wasn’t good, they are guaranteed to be younger than 25 and ignorant about hip hop.

Lmaooo😂😭
THANK YOU fie noticing the auto graph on the starter cap was a reference from Stan.
That line “Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me, I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze”
Seems like a nod to a Biggie verse from Runnin’ (Dyin to Live) (on 2Pac Resurrection Sountrack that Em produced)
“That’s why I bust back it don’t faze me, when he drop, take his Glock and I’m Swayze”
Layers upon layers
The fact that in every reaction video I watched when em refers to the Tupac situation the look on their faces is just priceless.. the shock is so real 🤟
It’s the best part about watching a new Killshot reaction.
One thing i learned from watching Em's career? You dont diss Eminem. You dont start a beef with Eminem. People like Ja Rule had their careers ended when Em destroyed those he had beef with.
Funny though that MGK ended up just changing genres than leaving the industry.
It was really clever how he said "I had enough money in 02, to burn it in front of you." O2 is Oxygen (flammable). It also doubles for 2002 .🤯
It was a more obvious bar than the others that’s for sure lol
Dioxide, which is flammable
Pure oxygen isn't flammable but is one of the main triads in the fire pyramid along with fuel and heat.. so injecting it into a fire scenario makes the fire burn like there's gasoline. If you direct a concentrated stream of pure oxygen onto a flammable material (like your clothes) it will likely ignite just from the contact friction. So oxygen isn't flammable but it is highly dangerous.
@@DeadlyVerge Thank you for the knowledge! I got to learn something new; all the while, basking in the memory of the fallen LOL. Take care and stay safe!

So enjoyable, clearly knowledgeable, very informative while being entertaining which makes it even better. Thanks for this. :)
I also love how Eminem chose the name "Killshot" i believe it was a movie where the main person was named Colson like mgk and in the end died.

MGK's Rap Devil was all beat carrying and shallow lyricism. Killshot is all lyricism and it isn't even close. I am not even a huge fan of Eminem (these days), but MGK had to switch genres, says everything
Look I'm not a fan of either of them but i do know mgk was doing some rock even before the eminem stuff and if you asked me i think it was smart to switch genes
@@jeremysimpson569 career wise I agree it was smart to switch genres because he wasn't going to get any bigger in rap.. when he was doing the rock stuff in the past was he painting his nails and dressing in a feminine manner? I dont know anything about him from the previous times he did rock music but it was just a shocking change from him trying to be a tough guy
Well he dropped Hotel Diablo (rap album) after the beef which did better than any of his previous albums. So the fact that he switched genres has nothing to do with the beef
@@user-uo1rn2nb8f and em wouldn't have talked shit but mgk needed to talk shit and then we got this and here we are in this room.
Agreed. Although he had some funny lines. I have to admit that and I hate thr dude because I feel he's a fraud
Fun fact EM waited for the day Patrick Swayze died to release Killshot so it's line of "I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze" would have even more of a meaning
the swayze line was referencing the movie ghost, saying if he really wanted to blacklist mgk it only takes one call to interscope to have him ghosted
Swayze died in 2009
Anybody still catching bars from this song to this day??? I love when the shuffle hits it

People dont appreciate how great killshot is. I think the reason why people say it wasn't "all that" is because it didnt match the energy of MGK's Rap Devil but honestly, it wasn't even close. MGK even admitted he wanted to respond but he couldn't so he just switched genres lol

I've listened to rap for decades and Killshot is top tier.
Gotta watch out with Eminem, his verses have multiple meanings on wordplay.
There are some lines that have 4 or 5 meanings and like 2-3 word play.
They said em wrote this in a few minutes when he had spare time. He didn't put much effort in, but he really didn't have to.
@@corylyonsmusic The producer of this track said it took Em under 15 minutes to write this once his pen touched the pad.
@@bradleewalsh8995 people forget Em started in battle rap. You spit bars at him and the moment he hears it, he's already brewing up his response. Even though he doesn't battle anymore he still has that mindset, but with better flows now
@@-user_redacted- Without a doubt but like he said on 'Syllables'.... "What do you do when 13 year olds control the remotes." The mass "hip hop" audience of today are out here thinking Love the Way you Lie is Eminem at his most foul...
