The oldest restaurant was missing. Piwnica Świdnicka, one of the oldest in Europe and the oldest medieval restaurant in Poland (operating since 1273), located in the Market Square in Wrocław, in the basement of the Old Town Hall. Its name comes from the Lower Silesian town of Świdnica, from where barley beer was originally imported. Under the privilege granted by Henry IV Probus (a prince from the Piast dynasty. It was the first Polish royal dynasty), beers brewed outside Wrocław could only be served in the town hall cellars, which were under the control of the city council.

Choć sam jestem rodowitym łodzianinem …to warto było poruszyć historię Jasia Pawie Oczko ….często widywałem tego jegomości przy jednym z kościołów wrocławskich …😂 to były piękne czasy …ale o tym i o tym Panu Jasiu zapewne wiedzą tylko rodowici wrocławianie …pdt inne sklepy z końca lat 80 ch lody w podcieniach i z takiej lodziarni koło wiaduktu …kurczę ,przejeżdżałem specjalnie przez Wrocław jak jechałem do Świeradowa kilka lat temu….nie poznałem miasta …inwestycje ,inwestycje …👍👏

There are a lot of modern buildings for sure! I think mainly Warsaw and Wrocław have grown the most in recent history!

I must visit Wroclaw myself one day as it would make a welcome change from just seeing Krakow. The architecture is a strange blend of Polish and German mixed in with a smack of Scandinavian architecture to boot. Sometimes during the film, I could have been mistaken in thinking I was in Stockholm or Lund in Sweden. What do you actually do in Poland as a job? Your fellow workers all look very multinational-a good thing for communicating in English but not from the perspective of learning Polish.
My job is a project manager in It and these weren’t work colleagues, they come from an expat group I help to run out here 😅 so like a second unpaid job 😂
And I really do recommend Wrocław, there is such a nice vibe in this city, and it’s been super fun for me to explore this year 😁
