I have never been to Wroclaw but it looks amazing. As Gatwick airport is my nearest, I tend to visit only Krakow as we have flights directly there with easyJet. Wroclaw is an old German city, it was called Breslau. I did not know that you need to know about Pan Tadeus in order to get Polish citizenship. It is old Polish, even people today of Polish heritage would find the language difficult to understand. How many years have you got to live there in order to get Polish citizenship? If you are of Polish extraction it would be much easier. I have never lived in Poland but came to Warsaw to take the official B1 examination at Warsaw Polytechnic, I believe that you need that too. I met some interesting people waiting to take the oral part of the exam as there are lots of people living in Poland who come from countries far and wide from ex Soviet Union states.

Oh Wrocław is a must see in Poland, out of the bigger cities I may even venture to say it’s my favourite 😅
I’m hoping to sneak more of the history over the course of the series 😉
Honestly I’ve not gone into details on citizenship yet, I think you may even need B2 level Polish and B1 is for permanent residency!
I’m just starting A2 myself so a long way to go 😅
I may be wrong but I think you need to have lived here for 10 years as well, so over halfway 😛

You are wrong. Wrocław isn't an old German city. You know nothing about its history I see. Stop talking a bullshit.

@@britinpoland2392 I did have a quick look at the various ways of getting citizenship and one way obtains citizenship after only three years in Poland and the other takes ten years of permanent residence in Poland. You will need a B1 certificate whichever way you do it. It helps if you are married to a Polish girl as the waiting time is down to only two years.

Wrocław has been a German city since the end of the German wars in the second half of the 19th century. It was a Polish city until the 14th century, then a Czech city, and from the 17th century it was ruled by the Habsburgs, i.e. Austrians. Wrocław became Polish again as a result of the change of borders after World War II. The language of 'Pan Tadeusz' isn't very archaic.😉

There will be an anecdote now. One of the authors of the panorama was Jan Styka. Known for his sacred painting.
Styka kneels in front of a white canvas and shouts:
God, my sweet God, how can I paint you?
The heavens open above him and an angry God appears. God replies:
Styka, stop painting me on your knees, start painting me well. 😇😇😉
