- The Butterfly by Westbank is a 57-storey, 331 unit luxury condo building. This constructions includes the heritage upgrade, rehabilitation, and expansion of the historic First Baptist Church (FBC), built in 1911. The tower is the shape of a butterfly and the third tallest building. The base of the condominium tower and the heritage church’s western stone wall will be connected by an airy glass-covered indoor galleria, which forms a major part of the expanded church.
Units range from 3.5 to 8 million dollars!
Construction started in 2018. Estimated completion is February 2024.

Thanks for the video! It's wonderful to see this old church repurposed and incorporated into what is clearly an outstanding modern tower. I hope this project serves as a template for how other heritage structures can be preserved in the city!
