The town of Panajachel in Guatemala is a must-visit spot if you're making your way to this amazing country. We are now in the heart of the Maya World.
This town can boast of the unique and sensational views that come with being adjacent to Lake Atitlan, which was voted one of the Seven Wonders of Central America by Imaginative Traveller. Lake Atitlan is Central America's deepest lake and was formed by a volcanic eruption approximately 84,000 years ago. In the morning we had breakfast and then a pleasant walk out to the Nature Reserve for the ziplining. There is the basic option to zipline through the woods, but we decided to take the scenic route, on the X-treme cables, to soar alongside Lake Atitlan.

Another great intro, you guys are on fire! The walk up to the zip wire was worth the admission alone, wonderful views of the waterfalls and an adventure in itself getting across those bridges! The zip line looked terrifying and majestic in equal measure but those swings towards the end of the session were tough! Well done to both of you for completing the course. Those bottle openers were cool, glad you got one. Loved the chocolate shop, the hot chocolate looked perfect, if that didn't get rid of your after-lunch-lull then nothing would.
Thanks Matt! You are so encouraging! Every aspect of the zip-lining was an adventure. Yea, we need to make sure not to accidentally return our bottle opener with the hotel keys this time! That hot chocolate was very good! Even making it ourselves. Totally helped the after lunch lull 😂

Just another spectacular town with the breathtaking views and mother nature at your fingertips seems like the bridge leading over to the zip line had it's own dance moves but nevertheless with great excitement you made it, I personally am afraid of heights but I have no problem watching you the waterfall and all the scenery looks so magical and the swings for me their absolutely no way but beautiful nature all day nice and the markets did not disappoint always hidden gems everywhere to the different foods and cultures and the circus bar and breakfast to top off the night so thank's again witytravels for sharing this difficult journey from this amazing country called panajachel guatemala !!!
This had the perfect combination of nature; lakes, mountains and green trees. If you can only zip line one time, this would be the time to do it! Great vibes at the circus bar. One of the best breakfast buffets we ever had. Thanks!
Wow. This is a charming town, ,you guys seem to have had a great adventure exploring nature, hiking around and enjoying the local food. The chocolates look so tempting, difficult to resist :)

What stunning views, wow! Loving the busses, very cool. That parrot was brilliant!! The bridge looks pretty scary but very Indiana Jones. Well done Katy for going first on the zip lane, that looked incredible!! We would love to do that. Love how Will didn’t bother breaking 😂 those views are just breath taking. Those steps were a bit hairy but still great fun, this is right up our street. Wow that butterfly place was stunning. Back to the market for some haggling…blimey, she was a character!!!! You got some great buys there, shame about the weather but the food made up for it!!! Mmmm hot chocolate….cinnamon…sold!!! Circus bar? Very cool!!! There was a circus Krone poster there, we have a friend that worked for them. You know what guys? We love your videos anyway but especially love how happy you look all the time and how much fun you seem to have. Top work as always….we’re almost caught up 😂 x
The parrot was pretty chill. We completely didn't notice him at first. We needed way more training before attempting the Indian Jones obstacle course. When zip-lining something will slow you down; your breaks or a tree! We wanted to be able to pet the blue Morpho butterfly; maybe next time. That is so cool that you have a friend who worked for circus Krone! You'll have to see that poster for yourselves when you visit Guatemala. We enjoy being outside and going on an adventure! No pressure or obligation to "catch up" we know you have been busy. New country starts Monday, December 5th. Maybe just pick up with the new season? What could possibly be next?
Not a terrible view for your first zipline experience! Congrats guys. 🙂Those swings did look super tiresome! Guides looked super nice though. If there's any sort of charity that I can donate to to keep guapos like Will out of extinction, please let me know! Lasagna looked bomb and the hot chocolate DIVINE. Also loved the hoodie. Glad you got to explore Pana! My budget kept me in San Pedro haha...
Not a bad view at all! Swings were a bad idea. We should have quit while we were ahead. Guides were very nice! All the food and desserts have been really good. 5 Dollars for a hoodie was a great find. Keep to that budget!
I was already loving your videos but now that you include drone shots... wow! that zip line looks insane, amazing, I did something like that in St Martins, these places are truly exciting! Also that chocolate at the end, I need that now haha, so happy you guys are uncovering so many locations in Central America!

Wow chicos este video les quedó impresionante, un día lleno de emociones de todo tipo, pusieron sus cinco sentidos a funcionar. No cabe duda que Guatemala tiene mucho que ofrecer al turismo externo como al interno. Si Dios quiere la próxima semana estaré viajando a Tikal, pasando por el Sitio Arqueológico y Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad Quiriguá, el Museo de Paleontología en Estanzuela, Zacapa, el Castillo de San Felipe, el Río Dulce para llegar a la Isla de Flores y de allí al Parque Nacional y Patrimonio Cultural y Natural de Tikal, de regreso no estoy seguro de que nos espera, pero quiero pensar que será un gran viaje. Me gustó mucho conocerlos en el Teatro Nacional y si ya no están en Guatemala, les deseo muchos éxitos y bendiciones en el nuevo país donde se encuentren. Abrazos Will y Kathy.

Nice video. I'm going late October. You went there same time last year? Not sure if there'd be a lot of rain as monsoon season only ends in November 😂
While we were there it did rain. Most days just rain showers for a few hours. And some days it rained most of the day. But we still enjoyed it. And the rain is what makes everything green and lush! So it’s worth it! Just wear waterproof shoes/boots and you’ll be fine! 😀
