  • There's almost too many models in the TOWNIE line, Electra has really adapted to the electric bike craze. As with the non electric models they have lots of options from basic to fully loaded.

    The Townie Go! 7d's are very under-rated. I have the step over in Green and my wife the step thru in Lunar Gray and we are very happy with them. The bikes are super comfortable and easy to ride. Due to the light weight, I can easily pedal with pedal assist turned off or set to 0. Even though the battery and motor specs are lower than many other bikes, they are more than capable and I have yet to run out of battery or motor power. The torque sensing drive system is very smooth and quiet and quickly gets you to top speed of 20mph. I rarely use any power level other than 1. These really are great bikes and I do not see many of them around. As a bonus, it is nice to have full Trek dealer support if needed.

      Agreed the dealer support makes a big difference

      I wish they’d make more mods for it. But I love the bike and ride it frequently.

    Bought a Townie Go 8i in 2018, still going strong 5000km later, 8 speed internal gears with Bosch mid-drive motor 😎

    I got the 8D Go and love it! I wish I had bought it sooner. I have a bad knee and could no longer get my knee up and over on my old bike. The location of the pedals allows me ride with no issues. I still have to raise the seat, so I don’t get the benefit of the flat foot technology, but for anyone who has knee problems, this set up might be worth looking into. I tried out my daughter-in-law’s bike first(hers is not an ebike) and fell in love. The addition of the pedal assist is helpful so I will now be able to ride farther with my husband, especially since they keep expanding our bike trail.

    the down side to this battery system is that for anyone who wants to go for a long ride has a problem with changing the battery on the road

    Hi, would the townie go 7d bike be a good option to use with a rear child seat?

    • @goodluckchrisclark
      @goodluckchrisclark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, excellent! Should work with a Thule seat post style

    How many miles do you get on the Electra Townie go Cruiser? Electric website doesn't state the range for the type of throttle either

    • @goodluckchrisclark
      @goodluckchrisclark  ปีที่แล้ว

      No throttle just pedal assist but works well, 40-80km range

      I have an 8i and at full charge on Eco it says 140km. I usually use it on Tour which gets about 75Kms. But I never ride using just one level. It all depends on wind and hills and each time you move to Sport or Turbo, the range gets less but overall it has a long range.

    If the battery is integrated, how do you charge it? Bring the bike into the house?
