Francesco Scipriano/Supriani was a student of the Neapolitan “Conservatorio della Piéta dei Turchini”, and one of the early virtuosos on the cello from 1693 onwards. Una hermosa obra llena de nostalgia y lirismo, que el tono del violonchelo traduce plenamente. Me imagino que fue una bella época para vivir en Italia. Italia fue un gran renovador del barroco europeo en mi opinión.

Si chiama unicamente Supriano, nell'atto di battesimo è riportato così come tutti i discendenti dalla famiglia paterna di Acquaviva delle Fonti si chiamamo Supriani tuttora.
