The Total distance from Delhi to Shimla is 376 Kms.. out of which 96 Kms is the Toys train ride..
The Kalka Shimla section is built on the Hills consisting of 103 tunnels, bridges and 917 curves..
Toy train ride is very fascinating and adventurous... All travelers are advised to book the tickets in advance.

I am in Peshawar, Pakistan and my maternal grand parents perhaps used spend their summer at Shimla so I had little interest from that angle too. shimla appears to resemble Murree hills in Pakistan.

Thank you .. If you want to explore the Shimla region than you can cover it in a week.. there are many Beautiful place in Shimla region .. I recommend to avoid Shimla City as its too crowdy and expensive..
