I love that these doggos don't even understand that it's a competition.
They just wanna go fast and do a good job. And they were all fast as heck and did an amazing job.
They do know, it's a competition. you can see a dog at practice run vs same dog at competition. Also, these dogs are athletes. They have proper diet, training, healthy lifestyle just like human athletes.

I feel last year the announcers knew more about the dogs. Mentioning them by name and talking about the kinds of dogs and what not.
I hope everyone remembers that it's all about getting the dogs and men the time of their lives, whether it means they are better than the others or not.

They're the ones racing with the purest hearts of just wanting to do what they know what to do and to do it really really well!

mareen that was last years final, I still don’t k ow what happened in the very last race but Panic came out late and if he would’ve been heads up against hustle I think focus would’ve won
@@ZombieNationLTD yeah last year was one of the best flyball finals ever , they tied for the speed record and one race was .003 seconds difference. the dogs were great and put on a hell of a show

Can you explain me why Karmandos took the point on the 2round against Aces high? I don't understand what mistakes they do to lose the point whheb karmandos have still 2 dogs to run when Aces already finished? I don't get that point

Watching flyball videos for fun, my dog and I start flyball once this coronavirus ends whoop whoop!
Can we also put the cameras on dogs after winning/losing please. Looked like it was more about people.
That was my first thought, but then I remembered it takes a lot of work to train these doggos. So well deserved for the people, too!

im a Aces fan, i just love watching Hustle run ...but i have to give credit where it is due, Focus had a great team and i think Panic is the only dog i have seen that can run as fast as Hustle . But lets agree..they are all good boys and girls. the dogs look like they really enjoy this event and they are out there having a great time .
Hustle from Aces is Panic and Kenai 's Aunty. The dogs are closely related.

I really wanted to see Aces vs. Focus. But I think Focus would have beat them because of how inconsistent Aces were this year.

Amit Deshmukh the Aces were making many errors, it would’ve been a more entertaining race I think but it’s not good enough for the dogs to just be fast.

It should have been who it was. Aces and Focus are both phenomenal, but their sloppiness this year wad bound to be at least one of their undoing. Neither won their quarterfinal day, and sloppiness unfortunately cost Aces the final. Both teams are phenomenal and great to watch, but there were too many mistakes.

Lots of training goes into flyball and pattern training to make sure they know their job.

I've seen many flyball things (on TH-cam) and wonder if these dogs would have behaviour problems? Beacsue they have such high energy and seem too much of a hand full to just live there life , so where do they go once they are not competing or are retired ?

My mother is a bit concerned that the dogs seem too out of control when they're being held back from running, as if they're high on something. Personally, they just seem very excited, but I wanna know if any of y'all scanning the comments know anything about that sort of thing. Thanks!
They are just very excited! They are so high energy and focused that it's hard to contain them lol

I am not sure why they gave the second run point to Karmandos and tied the score. Aces' dogs run fast and clear and the changes was clear also. Also I don't get why Karmandos left an other two dogs to run after the race was done.
In team aces high the third dog and the four dog is very fast to win

On a sidenote isn't it a little unfair to have other breeds racing lurchers, whippets because they are naturally slower than them so no matter how good a performance a border collie gives but it still won't be enough because lurchers are super fast?

Whippet/greyhound type dogs are so much faster than everybody else. Why do flyball teams bother with any other breeds? If flyball had size/speed categories like agility does it would be more interesting.
The Vizsla on Team Focus was incredibly fast. Whippets and Vizsla's are close in speed and jumping ability. This is the good way to see them compete.
Saw earlier Crufts flyball, and it was more varied with many different types of dogs. Sort of like Agility used to be before the border collies took over. In short, they'll get there -- 90% whippets - and it'll be as optimally fast, and as dull, as Agility has become.

I don't understand the rules of this sport, but it's very entertaining!
It's like a relay race. Each dog needs to run down the track clearing the hurdles, hit the panel on the box, grab the ball, and bring it all the way back to the start. There's a line on the ground that's the "start", not actually where the dogs start running from (so they can get up to speed). So that's why it looks like the second dog starts before the first one finishes - the second dog really just can't cross the start line before the first dog gets there. So the handlers are very carefully judging when to release. A perfectly timed release would have both dogs noses touching the line at exactly the same time.
There are penalties for mistakes - not hitting the panel box, dropping the ball, fumbling a hurdle, releasing too early, etc.

@@erin9868 why did aces lose that second race? You seem to understand, my understanding was that the other team - karmandos - faulted with a dog passing the end before the other dog finished, and aces finished first, but karmandos still won that point?
@@Night-ud4ew so, the karmandos faulted. When a dog faults, you can run another dog (or the same dog again) to make up for it. When the Aces faulted right at the end, the karmandos ran the extra dogs. So even though the Aces finished racing 4 dogs first, the karmandos finished racing 4 dogs that didn't fault first.

Correct me, but why don't teams just use lerchers instead of australian shepherd/border collie type dogs? The lercher/whippets pretty much always beat the aussie/collie type dogs lol
