I really liked that first dog. He wasn't gonna do anything he didn't want to and when he laid down in the tunnel I thought I would die laughing! Good for him!!! 💕🐶
Bless the first owner and dog. They made a bit of a mess of it. Who cares though they are both so happy together and that is all that matters. I love crufts for not being too pretentious and being "human" and having this part of the competition. This is so nice to allow so many totally gorgeous dogs to shine. Total respect for the owners here.
Well, the sports part is the only part of Crufts you may call "human". The breeding part is critizised all over for awarding breeding dogs that are sick by genes. They implemented vet checks, but even there can't be seen heart illness, brain illness or such. They see the dog for one moment and so does the judge. I'm not sure if today dogs get sorted out by veterinary documents before therefore sick dogs won't participate, but I believe, it is the way it has been ever since. If I see all those dogs in the arena hanging in their thin collars being throttled on straight leashes I can't see any "human" behavior. The sports part still is fun to watch every year and I love to hear the commentator. This is what Crufts should be through and through.
You can tell the first dog was very scared and didn't want to be there. I'll bet in a quiet room without a crowd of people, lights and cameras he would perform much better.
@@ranmakuro well said. Even these seemingly more humane activities just underline the attitude to dogs as beings rather than as examples of human manipulation - which so often, as you say, results in poor quality of life. I think I am right in saying that the BBC stopped broadcasting the show at some point because of this?...yes, see "Pedigree Dogs Exposed".
The entire thing was special to see and hear, and get face cramps smiling so much LOL good dogies . I want my 2 year old ridgeback to blaze around with his 10 foot long gallops. At 36 inches shoulder height he would have to skip the Tube. Raise the bars up to 3 or 4 feet for bonus points for Koda. Ignore his ornery sense of humor!
My fondest memory of any dog event, was seeing a woman attempt an Agility course with her Afghan Hound. She started running towards the first obstacle, happy as could be. Her dog was running in the opposite direction towards a woman snacking on a ham sandwhich. It came to her, sat down in front and did the most polite beg I've ever seen. Dogs are simply the best people.
Ah, my grandma had a border terrier that did practically every event. An extremely smart dog but in love with food. He was doing an agility event and he got a sandwich from one of the judge’s bag 😂
my neighbor keeps telling anyone who will listen, she's entering her chihuahua in the agility sets.... yesterday at the block party - someone finally asked her - "being so tiny how is it gonna jump the gates?" w/out blinking she responded " cheeto! " and it jumped 4 ft offthe ground into her arms. i will NEVER doubt that womans word again!
Grinning like a idiot, with tears running down my cheeks. These are the ones we failed and they have undergone some tragic events, but here they are loving, trusting us humans and most of all wanting to please us. I love puppy dogs. 🐕
I love the commentators on the crufts videos. They are always quick to give compliments and kindness to handlers and dogs alike. I also love how they point out that reward based training or positive training is how these dogs and so many more are trained because "that's how they learn". :)
@@Sandy33569 You are correct in saying there are other methods dogs and other animals are trained with. But science and research has shown that the best training methods focus on redirecting unwanted behaviors, rewarding desired behaviors, and avoid inflicting pain, fear, or asserting dominance. The crufts guy is bloody annoying though... 😒 he needs to shut up so we can hear the lady announcer, or they need to get rid of the audience audio files...
Very pleased to see the last collie with the handler in a wheelchair - I'm a wheelchair user and I have a collie that I take to agility. It's all in the voice and the hand signals!
I have a re-homed border collie. We had a few "voice" problems to start with (only had him 10 months) BUT I found out that Hand and arm signals and treats were his thing. I wish you every happiness with yours. :>)
The highest goal at Crufts is for the dogs to have a wonderful time. I love that, and I love it that the announcers see when they are having fun and tell the audience about it in such a warm and friendly way.
That was wonderful. I don’t get the people in the comments that feel negatively about the announcer. He seemed very kind and genuinely happy for the dogs. The complainers seem to be just looking for offense.
“All just looking for someone to love them and play with them.” I am in tears with a smile on my face, knowing they are well taken care off and are having fun at the same time. God bless them.
What a shame we cant treat our fellow humans with the love and respect shown to these dogs..... "who cares who wins, they're just out there havin fun!"
Well the real problem is religions that tell humans to murder all who are not their in the sect of hate and supreemistism...islam..black hebrew and LGBTQ
I have a 14 year old rescued Chocolate Labrador that I've had since she was 6. It may take her a few minutes but I think she could knock over most if not all of those barriers. She really is a bull in a china shop, but she's happy and that's what matters :>
This video was too long for the time I had, so I was going to watch only a few minutes. It was so much fun I watched the whole thing! The dishes can wait....
Rescues are the BEST! I'd love to have the first dog that ran - absolutely adorable!!!!!!! And the one greeting everyone, tail wagging a million miles an hour. And Tatty - love, love, love the "naughty" ones always. And that Cockapoo! Oh, my heart! And Ollie . . . can you tell I love dogs??????
Just thinking about a person somewhere up there trying to keep the spotlight on the zooming dogs is so funny! Love when you can see the joy in the dogs 🐩
I find the dogs that are going top speed, trying their hardest and happiest, and then sprint full tilt towards the wrong obstacle to be the funniest. It’s adorable, I agree
Even though I am a confirmed cat person, I love watching these Crufts dog shows! Thank you for putting them on TH-cam. Crafts has been added to my favorite channels list.
One of the best parts of this is how tightly organized the event is. I have been to countless events (not dog shows but all kinds of other events) where there are long waits between performances, and people don't know the order in which they are competing or performing, and things are disorganized and confusing. Ugh! To think that you could organize people and animals and commentators this tightly is quite amazing. Well done, Crufts!
This is the best dog show/exhibition around! Love the "competition" with a sense of humor and fun. Yogi is my favorite. Greeting everyone! No one was left out.

I had no idea they did rescue agility. My all time favorite video I have ever seen of agility. These dogs know what it is really about; joy. Completely delightful to watch!
I love them all,so cute, my favorites are the first dog..he's so funny just laying on the edge of tunnel instead of continuing to run, and the chocolate dog that lost focus is so funny..she was more focused on greeting people around than finishing the game haha..,also the chubby rottweiler,my gosh,he's so cute, just took his time,no need to rush esp when he climbed down the slide :D.
I love that these dogs are being given a chance to do such a fun sport like Agility. My dog is from a reputable breeder, but many classmates and students where I attend classes also include "rescue" dogs. I've seen some come in fearful and then their confidence goes up over time after that initial bump and struggle at the beginning.
A super enjoyable program because every effort deserves some applause, it doesn't matter if the result is questionable, they're just dogs, man's best friend
This is the best competition ever; all of them are winners! Best idea ever to present rescue dogs having fun in this big show. My heart is melting away! Thanks.
you can tell some of these rescue dogs are trying, but they just love people too much to run past without saying hello
That's my dog, she stops and says hi to everyone.
They’re sooo adorable!! 🥰
Gotta be polite and greet everyone :D
@Green Future You don't think these particular lucky rescued doggos are happy?
I thought the exact same. Too cute!
The best part is when they get distracted and have to say hello to everyone.
the ones I enjoy the most watching are those who do whatever they want, they're so funny love them
me too, they're the best!
Agree! Those dogs look like theyre enjoying themselves so much

The male commentator is my favorite, what a relaxing gentle voice...
I just learned that his name is Peter Purves, I shall actively seek stuff out now, where he's commentating. Hoping he might have read audiobooks, too!
His voice sounds exactly like the narrator and creator of Obsolete Oddities, a TH-cam and Patreon murder and mystery channel.
Exactly the opposite of the woman's screeching.

Does olly have a fan club? I love watching every year
I love watching the "professional" dog show competitions, but this rescue dog demonstration just stole my heart!
Me, too! The professional can be quite the nail-biter. This is just wonderful fun!
