In this episode, Gaius & the Shelter crew finish up all the last details of this house build - including windows, doors, a kitchen bay window, and prepare the SIP panels for the electricians to run wiring.
Our client also stops by to see the final result of the 5-day project, and we share her reaction with you!
In the next episode (only ONE more left!), Gaius will give you a full tour (interior & exterior) of the finished timber frame home.
Enjoy!

Looks absolutely fabulous. We just built our own here in Tennessee. Not an easy task for 2 old people 60 and 66 respectively. We are also off grid just to make it more challenging lol. My hat is off to ya'll. Oh a dear friend sent us one of your framing chisels for a present. It was invaluable. Fantastic tool.
This is “Must Watch Video “ on TH-cam. Quality is magnificent and content is mesmerizing. 👍👍
Thank you!
Thank you for putting this video series together. It's so fascinating to get to watch this home being created from start to finish, well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hope we can get a tour when it is finished!
That's the next and final video of this series coming out this Saturday. Stay tuned!
Absolutely beautiful work!❤ I’m a 20+ year post frame builder from Northwest Arkansas and wish you had a school closer! 😅 Thanks for putting this on the Tube.
So awesome! I had a big smile on my face while I was watching the video. Thanks for sharing!
This company is the best
Great series, really interesting to learn about how the electrical chases are cleared in the SIP panels
This is a great series! Thanks for making these.
Glad you like them!
Awesome build!!! You guys do amazing work!!!!
So nice to see this. I took the online course and on your call list for January to get a build process started.
Great series. Please make more.
Looks great
Thank you!
This is so the way to go. Get some shelter and then do the rest as time/money/subs allow. I hope we get to see what she is going to clad it with. Please post an update if possible. Thanks!
The homeowner seems cool, does she have a place we can watch to see how she completes it? Thanks, she has taste and I’d love to see how it ends up.
Stay tuned-we plan on getting a short video of the completed home. Francis did a great job!
Super...
Our SIP panels came with chases run through them from the factory.
What kind of clapboard do you use for the windowsills? Is it a piece of a bevel siding or special clapboard made for windows/doors installations?
I think zip flex tape is an Acrylic tape, not butyl.
What was the final cost?
Why not do furred out interior wall for electrical. Sure, it eats into a little space, but not by much.
Total price up from foundation?
Is a timber framed home cheaper to build?
How much does something like this cost
Does the SIP contain styrofoam?
Owner is a divorced, retired teacher? Just a guess.
Amish piping..????😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💨💨💨💨
