It's Soviet WWII, not Nazi. Nazis didn't say "Motherland" and the uniforms are explicitly Soviet in style. This is a world where the Nazis never existed
Just INCREDIBLE! So many tributes to Old Cinema, & just so well done on every level! Looked very Big Budget! Great storyline. Love & Technology & Fascism. Timeless! Congratulations & Thank You to the whole team. Instant Classic!
This was magnificent! I've got to say, the way the actor playing the General delivered the line "Oh, and doctor, remember... even a desert flower...die" is about 7 seconds of perfection in acting. It was disturbingly creepy.
Each visual image was thoughtfully used and composed. Sound effects like fingertips brushing across the beard stubble of a face were noticed. Story interesting. Acting good. Wonderful editing. Visually stunning. The light ellipses during the creation of the wife robot a nod to the 1927 Metropolis. This took a lot of work and it shows!
Wonderful film noir! Such a glorious combination of Terry Gilliam, Fritz Lang and Dr. Strangelove! What a great cast, the music is first rate and the effects are a real treat for the eye. Thank you for this fun little romp into the past of the future!
Loved every second of it! The pacing was excellent, and the use of special effects for the delivery bot really sent it over the top. Fritz Lang would be proud.
@@kineluxstudios My compliments to the grand Morality Tale with its postmodernist view of the world. There is much more than words can tell yet done so without a grand dialogue. It is a tribute to the art of film telling more than the spoken word. No matter the language, the imagery pulls from dystopian Metropolis of Fritz Lang and the dark world of George Orwell's 1984.
Original, and very entertaining. A lovely feel of a vintage movie. I expected to see RKO at the beginning. This is the second short I've seen where everything comes together. Congratulations.
They got the whole cold, steely fascist, totalitarian vibe on point. From the stark, imposing architecture, down to the squeaky leather gloved hand; to the art director and set design! 🥂

Absolutely loved it! Easily one of my top my favorites on Dust, if not my favorite. The atmosphere of authoritarianism is just right. The sets are and views are beautiful. Love the synthesis of different times in history and different styles; the collage work at 5:32 , reminiscent - but still its own - of Terry Gilliam, the nods to Orwell’s 1984 and Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent film Metropolis. (Also the year of Helga’s death. Note her headstone.) [Metropolis, the 1927 silent film, it can be found here on TH-cam, just don’t watch the colorized version, please it’s beautiful without it, the restoration is amazing. I like how at 11:12 you can see (what I think is) "top" displaying on the monitor, on the right side of the frame. :) In all seriousness, this was highly enjoyable to watch, and as some others have commented, yes, reminiscent of "Metropolis" / Fritz Lang work.
No I am surprised that we done so many different versions of King Kong. But yet we are to see more live action movies based on the classic Metropolis. Oh and this is for 9:52 in the video, actually a desert flower Never Dies, it only rezurex while the flowers becoming more abundant.
Right? So many great films to draw from! Fritz Lang alone has an amazing filmography to explore! As for the flower, Helga kind of resurrects too 😉 (let's pretend it was intentional 😂)

Exceptional short sci-fi! Fusion of steampunk, Nazi WWII, 1984, with a little Star Wars and a love story tossed in. Remarkable sets!
