In fact with some of their new studios who I expect are working on AAA games are still working on them is a good sign they’re being backed. If they weren’t backed we’d see short development cycles and quick releases from them.

Arkane Austin also made dishonored and prey, which were amazing. Bethesda wanted them to make a live service style game with redfall. The studio didn't want to make it and a lot of the leadership quit during it's production. Arkane is actually an incredible studio and I'm pretty upset they got shut down.

Funny how most were making fun of Sony for closing studios like London Studio. That literally made their last game in 2019 and it was mid. But Microsoft pulled a much worse one because it's a studio they bought, unlike Sony, and unlike Sony situation, they made the best Xbox game last year. 4 generations of backwards compatibility, Game Pass, MCC, and a 4K player are the main reasons I have mine. Not to mention really nice emulation all the way up to Xbox 360 via Dev Mode. My PS5 and Switch are my exclusive machines. Series X is better for nearly everything else (still prefer the controller). But that’s just me. I love and enjoy all the systems tbh.
Just read a tweet, and the reason Tango was shut down was because Hi-Fi Rush was successful, and they were pitching a sequel and wanted to hire more devs. They didnt want to invesr the money and closed them down instead. Yo I got my very first Xbox 2 years ago. It was the Series S. I honestly don't think I even need it anymore but keep it around because I like playing older games on it more than newer games. I got the PS5 right next to it, and I ain't been gaming too heavy on that even lately, but if I had to keep just one it would definitely be my PS5.

Tango had alot of devs leave after hifi rush. Zenimax runs independently even with Microsoft as the parent company and likely had discussions about consolidation well before making the decisions. This seems to be the trend not just in the gaming industry, but the texh sector all together. Phil Spencer is in charge of Microsoft's gaming sector, while that it encompasses xbox, it also encompasses PC and mobile. Which has been pretty successful.

Xbox is my primary console this gen I guess due to Game Pass and as of late I’ve been building a digital library getting a lot of good older games on sale. I loved Hi-Fi Rush I was hoping for a sequel, It’s very unfortunate that Tango is closed but we can’t do much about it. With all this bad press and rumors coming out I’m still very excited for the showcase next month, they had a lot of time to make some games and I’m very much looking forward to what’s coming in the future 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Funny how most were making fun of Sony for closing studios like London Studio. That literally made their last game in 2019 and it was mid.
But Microsoft pulled a much worse one because it's a studio they bought, unlike Sony, and unlike Sony situation, they made the best Xbox game last year. I hate the whole gamepass thing because it allows for very cheap mediocre games to be dumped and pumped on there and actually good games, are basically free and people only try for 10 minutes.
Also what makes it worse than Sony, is that they are a much bigger and make a lot more money than Sony.
its called "pump and dump" and that term only applies to stock market fraud where something can have an artificial inflation of price or value, which does not apply to video games. hence, if game "x" comes out at $60, just because a lot of people "value" the game doesn't mean the publisher can then make it $65.

4 generations of backwards compatibility, Game Pass, MCC, and a 4K player are the main reasons I have mine. Not to mention really nice emulation all the way up to Xbox 360 via Dev Mode. My PS5 and Switch are my exclusive machines. Series X is better for nearly everything else (still prefer the controller). But that’s just me. I love and enjoy all the systems tbh.

Just read a tweet, and the reason Tango was shut down was because Hi-Fi Rush was successful, and they were pitching a sequel and wanted to hire more devs. They didnt want to invesr the money and closed them down instead. Insane...

Hi Fi Rush was successful but it didn’t sell 10 million copies which is what MS need badly right now due to the Activision/Blizzard merger.

Arkane Austin also made Prey (2017) which is regarded as one of the best immersive sims ever made. It's on game pass and I highly recommend it.
Xbox didnt care about Hi-FI Rush.They thought it was just going to be another game to throw into gamepass. It just so happen that Hi-Fi Rush was a really good game after it released. Thats when they started to get behind it.

Microsoft putting all their eggs into gamepass still puzzles me to this day 😂. Coz its a fantastic product and idea. But you can still just continue to make great games alongside that product without dropping down value in terms of output from all these studios.
At this point if you're a gamer have a PC and a Nintendo product. That's got you fully covered.

Hellblade 2 is a mini game. It's not even a full length game. I hope it's enjoyable and successful, but it can't be the torchbearer for the XBox.

Loved the 360. Hated Xbox after the 2013 Xbox One reveal with its anti-consumer policies, forces camera, online DRM etc. Then Xbox Series comes out with an extremely ugly design, dumb as hell name and it even managed to screw up Halo with that shallow open-world wannabe Infinite game.

Yo I got my very first Xbox 2 years ago. It was the Series S. I honestly don't think I even need it anymore but keep it around because I like playing older games on it more than newer games. I got the PS5 right next to it, and I ain't been gaming too heavy on that even lately, but if I had to keep just one it would definitely be my PS5.
I bought an Xbox and subbed to gamepass for $1 on multiple accounts for about a half a year. I didn’t buy 1 single game. Gamepass is killing devs.

Hi-Fi Rush deserved more love. 💔 they messed up the Xbox brand once Xbox Game Pass was announced.
Tango had alot of devs leave after hifi rush. Zenimax runs independently even with Microsoft as the parent company and likely had discussions about consolidation well before making the decisions. This seems to be the trend not just in the gaming industry, but the texh sector all together. Phil Spencer is in charge of Microsoft's gaming sector, while that it encompasses xbox, it also encompasses PC and mobile. Which has been pretty successful.

I'm still trying to decide on going strictly PC and use my Switch for Nintendo Exclusives. With the Steam Deck and Legion Go, PC looks like the way to game.

Microsoft has lacked creativity since day one. They bought the rights for Halo from Bungie and then destroyed it. They bought the rights for Gears from Epic and then destroyed that, too. They aren't an entertainment company and don't know how to make good games.

Xbox is my primary console this gen I guess due to Game Pass and as of late I’ve been building a digital library getting a lot of good older games on sale. I loved Hi-Fi Rush I was hoping for a sequel, It’s very unfortunate that Tango is closed but we can’t do much about it.
With all this bad press and rumors coming out I’m still very excited for the showcase next month, they had a lot of time to make some games and I’m very much looking forward to what’s coming in the future 🔥🔥🔥🔥
