No im watching the last episode right now, they ran the numbers. 3 of the siblings vs Logan, he’s toast. Only have 10 minutes left let’s see how this ends
The Roy siblings aren't stupid, they're just not as smart as they think they are. They know how to play the game but have never had real enough stakes to play it seriously.
On multiple occasions Kendall does run the numbers. Throughout s2E2 before shutting down Vaulter and s2e5 for Tern haven before he meets the Pierces. Kendall also runs the numbers in S4e6 before the Living+ presentation as well. Kendall has a brain for that sort of stuff. Shiv and Roman aren't known for running anything however
That first part with Logan bullying Roman is just so cruel and dark when you come back to it. Just fishing a reaction out of your own son for your own pleasure. There's just such a cruelness to every part of that. His mannerisms are also exquisite. I got bulled a fucking lot growing up. And watching this scene, I feel encapsulates why these 3 children want this fucking job that no one in the right mind would want. He just bullied them into submission their whole lives and to be the bullier, the powerful one no one steps to would fix all of those issues. But in the end he was a lonely man.
No, he had people who loved him, his children loved him anyway In the end he dies wealthy (even not in terms of money) on his private jet, surrounded by people who respected him and supported him He was not alone
@@julinemo777 they hated him. They didn't love him. If he wasn't their boss he wouldn't put up with them. You have to look at Ewans Speech at Logan's funeral
Agreed, though I think the tragedy was that the kids *did* love Logan, but those feelings were not reciprocated. Instead they were met with appalling indifference and abuse throughout their lives. Poetically, Logan ended up dying alone with only indifferent execs and a prostitute for company. His last moments were spent in the realisation that his empire was failing and there would be no one to preserve his legacy.
We've seen Logan "forget" that he knocked Roman's tooth out, something that DID happen, so we know it ought to be within his capacity to remember something that DIDN'T happen, but he chooses not to remember taking Roman fishing. Just out of cruelty, presumably.
he didn't forget. He is just a malignant narcissist, who will rewrite history on a whim and gaslight his own children that their memories are wrong. Not acknowledging that he was a cruel and violent father is part of the narcissism, not forgetfulness because of his age and health. He just decides that is not part of his reality, so it isn't. Same pattern with "no real person involved".
Listen I thoroughly believe that if the situation weren’t so dire and logan weren’t present roman would be HORNT UP from gerri taking such decisive charge Which also? I fucking love gerri, she is smart and firm, moves fast and stays calm under pressure. Reeeaaaally wanna see more of her in s4
he was going to see Gerri but Logan stopped him, he’s so whipped
00:48 - the side-eye after the "I know," is sooo good
“These are the ones who don’t fuck off.”
Love that
The Gerri actor has such great lines in this scene
J. Smith-Cameron
Roman, nor any of his siblings have ever “run the numbers” on anything

GERRI IS THE REAL BOSS!
i love so much Gerri, she did deserve more. Amazing character!
Shiv’s letter is hilarious. “He’s a helpless addict and misogynist. Please give him some privacy.”
In the key moments where Logan might steer the company off a cliff beacuse of his strongman ego, Gerri is there with a voice of reason.
“…and she’s the fucking nice one”🤣
1:30 "no betrayal hurts more, than a betrayal from your own"- my grandfather
it can't be a betrayal if its not from your own fkin cringelord
That is what a betrayal is.
The only betrayal there is, is from your own.
That's literally the definition of betrayal tho

@Bob-fj7lr idk about that... they wanted the money and power that came in association with him, so in a way there's respect there.

I think the writers have structured it so that Logan sees Roman as the child most like himself, with room to grow.
Roman had the killer instinct that Logan was looking for
@@christopherng5085 Too bad Roman was such menace that couldn't control his urges. If only. He'd be head of the company by now.
Shiv is absolutely the child most like Logan

I genuinely think he was so absent he forgot.
He didn't take Roman fishing, he was too busy and never made the effort so Connor had to step up as a paternal figure.

Wait, wait wasn’t it Gerri who called Kendal about feds
Your mandela is showing
That’s so crazy. I remember it happening like that too.
who was it
Maybe Frank? He enters the room after Gerri, giving him enough time. It isn't until season 4 when Frank fully ditches team Kendall
Roman couldn't even play it off with something like 'Hey Dad, it was corny but it was good PR' - Logan steamrolled him again
💀
