      I have a pair of thick knees (dikkop) nesting in the field in front of my house. They dont budge until ur very close. Then they do the open wing thing. I try to watch over them without disturbing but so scared cos there are so many cats around.

      It's also free energy. Birds will eat unfertilized eggs to get some of their energy back, so eating a damaged egg is definitely not out of the question.

    How close this biom looks to northern Australian wetlands is amazing. Crocodiles, kingfishers, plovers and the thicknee who looks remarkably like a Curlew, surely they are related species.

    Magpies and coyotes work together.
    Magpie will even warn the coyote of danger... so hunting them can be very hard sometimes.

    Been binge watching since seeing your new video today. I think it was AnimalLogic or ZeFrank that I heard of this channel from, but either way glad I subbed. These small animal documentaries help so much with simply relaxing and reducing my daily anxiety, especially with the background music.
    The Hanuman Monkey documentary was particularly touching, seeing the man feed them as he walked to the temple. I'd be in heaven lol
