Joe wrote it I don’t care how he plays it he owns it. We are so lucky to still have him. God bless every part of this great humble gentleman. I travelled from Ireland to vegas to watch him in the house of blues he was and still is incredible love joe Walsh.
100%
How about those backup singers too!? Really top notch.
In so many ways!!
I absolutely love this was just amazing to watch so very happy I found this.
As a disabled USMC veteran who suffers with PTSD. I found myself thinking about all those Friday nights. At the barracks listening to music while drinking beer. God bless each and everyone of you who have served our great nation. And for all those still serving either mentally or physically. Keep your head up and keep moving on. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢
Well said!! Amen i SECOND THAT! GOD BLESS THEM!

I wish I could shake Stephen Stills, and Joe Walsh's hand.
As a number of people have pointed out the years are catching up with both Joe and Stephen. However it is still remarcable that these guys are still takeing the stage in 2023. I can remember buying "James Gang Rides Again" featuring avery young Joe Walsh in thr fall of 1969. Stephen with Buffalo Springfield a year earlier. God bless these two great warhorses.
I'll tell you his still has it. Billy Gibbons.
those dudes could rehearse - I don't care how good you are or how old you are there's no excuse for this garbage - They are professionals - EC or the Rev Billy G ain't sounding like this
@@interstategar yes he does + so does EC and Roger McGuin
@@davidrice3337 Well Dave it seems you were not very happy with the music. I have to agree with you toa certain degree. This show was certainly not their finest hour. However rehearsal time is really not the issue here. These type of benifit shows are put together more or less on the fly. Acts and artists will sometimes drop out at the last minute for any number of reasons. These people are giving their time and talent freely. They are under no contractual obligation to the planers and promoters of the Farm Aid concert. They play because Farm Aid is a very popular cause and almost all of the older acts who have stayed the course and have given us such great music for decades want to be included as long as they are able to do so.There are so many last minute problems and screwups that can happen, the kind of thing no one saw comming or could have in any way predicted. It's under these circumstances that Farm Aid reaches out to a Joe Walsh and maybe a Stephen Stills and say "fellas, can you help us"?And they do, They call bassist Nathan East who cancels a date with some hot piece of ass and says "hell yeah I'll be there", It's about the HEART all these people put in for the FARMERS and their families. It's not about the greatist music you've ever heard from Joe and Stephan on this particular night. You don't know the exact circumstances that brought them there on that particular night.
Agreed!!!!! The amount of musicians those guys have inspired is immeasurable!!!!!!
The 60's and 70's were a fantastic era of music and these two were a big part of that....Keep on Rocking !!
add 80s 90 s and so on .
Fillmore East shows 😢
Walsh's genius and influence goes far beyond two decades....sorry you missed the best years of his career.
TRULY A LEGEND THAT WILL BE ALWAYS REMEMBERED.. AT 76 HE'S GIVING IT HIS BEST SHOT. GOD BLESS YOU BUDDY.. :)
76 years young and kicking ass! Sounds great.
No it doesn't but it does!
As a vet lets give a big HELL YEAH to Joe and Steve for this!!!
HELL YEAH

HELL YEAH. Thank you to every veteran for your service and sacrifice🙏🇺🇸🗽
Joe...YES! Stills 👎👎
Joe has doe a lot for us Vets!
Unless Stills has changed, CSN&Y hated the military.

We are so lucky these two incredible individuals are still playing. Can’t imagine the world without ether one of them. They both sound incredible. God Bless Joe and Steven.
To keep it real, Stills hasn’t sounded incredible since the last century. Amazing he’s still going though. A total legend
Oh manthese guys R good!
Thank you so much I love you gen x
Ty Steven 😊😊😊😊😊
his buddy ringo is the one in league with the devil.
Glad we didn't lose Joe back in the day
When you get older and your doing more than most for such a good cause and some people talk shitty about them , says a lot about some folks
Stephen Stills was criminally underrated as a guitarist
Agreed. The man is just a musical amazement. I got turned on to the James Gang and CSN in 60's thanks to my hippie sisters!! And, no one but Steven ever had Hendrix and Clapton play on the same album !!!
@@thompsonmichael7678and that’s a fact!!!!
I collect concerts and have quite a few variations of CSNY. On most of them at least one of the other members of the band mentions how incredible Stills is on guitar. The band and people who really appreciated the band knew how good he was. A lot of the best rock guitarists are not in the standard list.
Criminally underrated as a songwriter AND musician of MANY instruments.

Been listening to these guys since the late 60’s when they first hit the scene; was just out of college and in the service. They made cloudy days brighter.
Reasons for living as long as you can my friend.

Joe is a trip and a pleasure to listen too!!! He always seems to be having a great time...
What a great find , Joe Walsh , who I adore, great band and the backing singers who pulled it all together. Great work, girls 🥰
Both Joe and Stephen never performed with female singers but theses guys are pushing 80 yrs. Of age. They just can't hit notes as they did back in the day. The girls were great.
Thank you all our USA veterans. Thank you everyone. Thank you Mr Stephen Stills. My all time fav. Thank you Mr Joe Walsh and your synergy, frequency with Stephen Stills. I am so very blessed to have grown up with this music. So much gratitude. ❤
And thank you all the bakers, bitchers, taxideivers, streetsweepers, eaitets, bankpeople, gardeners…
Come on!
I've probably seen Stephen more than 30 times in various bands and as a solo act. One of the most memorable was with Manassas at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD in 1972. Had center seats, front row, and Joe Walsh was the opening act.
Manassass, would of been great. 1st album they did was exceptional.
yep ,saw Manassas at Winterland in SF in '73 , Crosby, Nash and Young showed up. It was a great show and the best part was Manassas.
I love Manassass
@@red_z8069man asses...
I was there, too! Incredible! Saw Stephen play guitar with his then girlfriend Judy Collins at Carnegie Hall on New Years Eve in 1969😀
A big thank-you to you Joe from the Vet's of OHIO, you showed us during 1968 & 1969 GOD BLESS

Joe Vitale in tow??? Awesome!!! Every JW show I've been to has always had the very best sound quality. Love ya Uncle Joe!!!
Two old rockers I grew old with.❤ When did everything change😮 God bless ya guys
Wishing Joe Walsh long life and excellent health. Also as much happiness as he can handle
God Love them! I grew up listening to them and loved every minute.
Nice to listen to on a X-mas evening! It brings old and precious memories back!! Warm greetings from the Netherlands!
Loved Joe and Steve's guitar style the first time i heard them. 2 American guitarists who were world class.
See him live in the beginning in Kent in the 60's till now...............WOWWWWWW HOW PRIVILEGE CAN ONE BE.
Nathan East on bass, Joe Vitale on drums. Epic.
And Tom Bukovac, guitar, the 'glue' in the middle. Love all these guys!! --gary
I have a few of Joe's solo LPs and his James Gang group LPs.. Saw C.S.N.& Young in Chicago at the auditorium way back in 1978. It has been a great life without mentioning all my concerts but I will mention Led Zeppelin in 1975. Peace and Happy New Year rockers ! I made it to age 73. Yay!!!
Just love Joe Walsh...Stephen Stills...true musicians of integrity. And, hey, they STILL rock the hemispheres.❤❤❤
The music means just as much and more now - Thanks guys for rockin' on for those of us who remember and for those of us who need to.
for what it s worth turned me on to rock n roll 50years ago and I never stopped...
I marvel at the drive of true musicians. When you watch these guys in interviews, they talk about still chasing the passion. To all your guitar players out there keep getting better I like when Joe says just act like you know what you’re doing and people will believe you.
joe reminds me that my better days are in the rear view mirror. “turn to stone” was amazing. steven can still play.
Great to see one of my favorite bassists Nathan East from Four Play. He has toured with the likes of Eric Clapton.
Nathan has been touring with Clapton for years, and is also on many Clapton studio recordings.
He was with Clapton when I saw him in like '81. He's also been onstage with other greats but I did well just remembering the clapton shows
Hes played for just about everyone, he was also with Toto, Michael Jackson, phill collins, kenny loggins, herbie hancock, and many more! Hes on over 2000 recordings, great session player.
Man I wd pay just to see these two talk these are real legends
Very enjoyable, and I don't care how old they are! They are having fun, and it was fun to watch! Thanks for the upload!
Shame that Stephen’s voice has gone. He had one of the truly great voices of his generation. Will always think of him as a genius though!
DSefinitely a shell of what he used to be.
His voice change is due to his deafness. He has struggled with hearing loss since childhood.
Hearing loss sucks, but it really sucks if you’re a songwriter and musician.
At 79 everyone is a shell of what they once were. But few can say they've accomplished what Stills has. Maybe one of the most underrated performers of the golden age of rock. He was always a musician's hero.
@@chucktown57 I'm 61 with Tinnitus in both ears. Still playing live almost every weekend. Thankful to be still breathing everyday. Lloyd Sarno USMC Retired.
39 years of playing live gigs for me.
Mr. Walsh can easily captivate an audience while displaying his Mojo on guitar and remains very relevant at 76 years old! This performance of Turn to Stone was especially remarkable and brings back a lot of memories for me. Stephen Stills joining in was icing on the cake! The band and backup singers were incredible. Thank you for honoring our Vet's and I can tell you that your music got us through some difficult times in peacetime and war! You are a national treasure for those of us of a certain age!
Joe Walsh - IMO one of the worlds greats. Listen to him play - he doesn't go for speed - he plays a note and doesn't go to the next note until he has finished PLAYING that note. That is a true musician.
I see Buko🎸in there Kickin Ass👍🤠🌵

Awesome Joe🙏God Bless our Vets. I'd luv to see a reunion of Walsh & Felder. That would be kool af👍🤠🌵
Two rock legends getting together for a great cause. Age is just a number, and they proved it. Nathan East on bass, always fantastic. The rest of the band made it all sound like they had been playing together for years. Top shelf.
Nathan is a great musician.
Nathan East…..One of the best for a very long time.
The main drummer Joe Vitale has been with Walsh over 50 years now! Look him up, hes played for just about everyone.
By the way, his back-up singers have perfectly-matched singing voices!

So Walsh isn't dead after all, despite all the YT videos! Excellent camera work here diverting attention from the cadaverous performance of the 2 "stars" to the stunning backup singer. More of her, less of them, please... you guys had a pretty good run, but when it's over, it's over. You've reached that point where you've become caricatures of yourselves. time to put out to pasture - don't fear the reaper, and all that ...
Joe and Stephen on stage at the same time. Two musical geniuses. Lucky folks in the audience.
Thanks to all the Veterans 🙏🙏🙏
Joe is fighting his way through those first 2 songs, the band , Uncle Larry and these beautiful ladies are doin' great ...
He’s one hell of a fighter …. The solo riff at the end of song one is great , and as always he is in time . Like Keith Richards says “ it’s not how you play, it’s what you play “ ……
No shit! And Joe's mic could have been mixed-in hotter. But he's super nice to do the gig for vets. SUCH a great guy (I've met the Eagles 3 times and have known his/their manager Irving Azoff since 1977...was an FM radio personality for 40 years).
Fight? That’s a voice that’s lived life, but those bloody fingers are still stuck in the 70s. There must be some Mississippi crossroads where Joseph made a pact cos as guitarist he still got it. Big respect to you Joe. Any chance of you coming over here to england I will put you up 😂😂😂
@@ecodave7299 he had to warm up, but then he was on track ...
Cant believe he stands in front of those big Marshalls. Its amazing he can hear anything after all these years. Great man and performance. Keep rocking Joe.
Dale, I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but all amps-- big or small -- have volume knobs. And many small amps can get loud enough to damage your hearing in a hurry. If Joe has hearing loss, it's because HE CHOSE to turn it up beyond reasonable.
They are mic'ed. Most of the volume is in front of him projected to the audience.
He’s using in ear monitors too, so he can put the Marshalls to 11. 🤔🤘🏼✌🏼
Everytime I watch Joe play I learn something new ! I been playing guitar over 30 years and the things he can do with that Les Paul the same one Slash uses is utterly amazing 👊 ty to any Vets that are reading this for serving !! You are loved and appreciated more than you know !

And what's up with the Dusenberg? Custom made? He's killing on it! Clean and sober for almost 30 years, Joe is a national treasure.

Thank you, Mr. Walsh for your honor to veterans. God knows the people in power who control the budget try to short-change us at every turn. In the richest country in the world we should not need things like a VetsAid concert and Joe could be playing to help others.
My very highest respects to these two music icons for over 100 years of great rock and roll!! And to Uncle Larry Tom Bukovac, a 40 year session man and studio legend who glued this all together w/Nathan East on bass and Joe Vitale on drums. And of course to all our vets, who keep us the land of the free and home of the brave!! Soli Deo Gloria !! Peace --gary

Retirement is obviously not a word in either Joe Walsh's dictionary or Stephen Stills dictionary. These guys are in their mid seventies, and they seem to play at least until their lungs give out--whenever that may be!

Little bit of Billy Preston trivia - he used to say "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." Stephen Stills asked him if he could use that - wanted to write a song around it. And that's history. Thanks for this recording. Love both of these guys.
