I recently bought a reflex bag for warmups before my actual workout. It gives great cardio and also releases all the built up anger for a bit. I loved these drills because it helped me get into the flow of things. Thank you for making these video's brother
Heyyyy that’s what’s up! Thanks for the comment. Couldn’t agree more! Cardio and tension release all day. Glad you’re liking the videos. Gonna keep the drills and workouts coming. Keep me posted on how your training is going 🥊🥊
Two weeks in with my FR and now I am starting to have some fun. Lowered the old 9R and use it for body strikes and kicks. Yes..I can still kick waist high ! Great video Prof..thanks :)
Hell yea brother! Got so much more on the way for ya. Let’s keep breaking in that new bag. I’ve never tried kicking the bag, that must be tricky timing. I’m gonna try using two at once sometime 🥊🥊
yo Jpro i been loving ur videos. i have the ELITE-HYBRID version which doesn't exactly rebound the same. i was wondering if i should buy the pro elite version because it seems to bounce more with a lot less force applied and for longer bounces. thought?
Thanks for the comment! The Elite Hybrid is the best and fastest bag they make! The Pro Elite is great but slightly less fast than the Hybrid. I think you might have meant to say that you currently have the Pro Elite and are thinking of upgrading to the Hybrid? If that’s the case you’d have my full support! The bag is noticeably lighter and faster than the pro. I recently upgraded myself and there is no looking back. Hope this helps!
@@reflexbagworkouts Thanks for the reply but i do currently own the Elite hybrid. The best one they sell. but to me it seems like i have to apply way more power in order to get it to bounces as fast as the pro elite. which may not be a bad thing but its harder to practice defense since it requires a large amount of power output. i was mainly wondering if i should also pick up the pro elite to practice defense. thanks for the reply
@@FlashP4P interesting! That hasn’t been my experience with the Elite Hybrid, but they are built with weight class in mind so that does actually make sense. Here are a few more thoughts on bag speed: - base is a factor. Depending on your flooring/home gym setup you might want to drill the base into the floor. This is only an option if your flooring/setup supports this. If so, it’s going to be faster if you bolt it down - if you can’t bolt it down try to make sure the base is on the hardest floor you have. I used to have my bag on a few layers of soft memory foam, and I noticed it slows it down a bit (compared to directly on a hard wood, concrete, or rubber gym floor) - play around with the amount of air you have in the bag. Try letting some air out to make the top a little lighter. - make sure the top spring is screwed in pretty tight to the base - think about the gloves you are using as well. Softer gloves will give you better protection, but firmer gloves like Rival bag gloves or Cleto Reyes will help you deliver more force - I would also say to give it some more time. The more you use your bag the better your technique will get over time. Improved technique and improved timing = more powerful punches My gut says to spend more time with the Hybrid, but if you play around with those options and it doesn’t feel right. It may make sense to get the other bag. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes 🥊🥊
As I've said before, grateful for these 5 minute drills. I can get some kind of consistent training in conjunction with work schedule. Great job!👍
So glad you love the quick drills! Let me know if you have any specific ideas for new drills. I’ll be sure to keep em coming!
Thanks so much man, I jsut got a bag and these videos have been so helpful to get started on it! Great stuff!
Love the low-guard stance at 4:28 as well as your 10-year old story 🎉🎉
