Interesting video. Maybe use the window seal on the other side of the PCB, under the plate and see how that sounds. Personally I am over the tape mod. When I got into the hobby, I started out on plastic keyboards to learn, so I used the tape mod on about 5 boards. Now that I have moved on to aluminum keyboards, I prefer a clackier sound profile, So i just just remove all of the foam from the board and I don´t use the tape mod anymore. But in the end, this hobby is all about preference. Some people like thock and others clack.
is there still dead space between the tape and the silicone dampener? would be curious to hear the tape mod against the PCB and then the window seal between the silicone and the tape.
Nice vid mate , always appreciate the hustle to create such entertaining content
Aint no way only 470 subs and this video quality this is insaine
Love the vid, pretty well researched
Did the tape mod on my cheap K644 SE recently. Very happy the outcome, it sounds way more satisfying now.
