    I think they need to make them more affordable firstly, the price tag is really the drawback to stop people try these shoes.

      justin zhang I agree. I really like barefoot shoes. The vivobarefoot shoes are the most stylish in my opinion, but they are easily in mid $100 range. Lems Barefoot shoes are under $100, but not as stylish in my opinion.

      woolengrappler I finally put the trigger to get pair of myself with some discount, but it still pricy. I strongly believe that in order to spread their though and educate people, price should be more affordable. And seems the business has turned to profit from the loss. Shoes can be unique in their functional but not with their price, the fundamentals of this shoes is promoting wellbeing. To wrap up, it is nice shoe and low profile!

      And the thing that hurts the most in my eyes is that the soles are thin.... I know that is the idea and I have a pair of their addis leather ones coming in a few days.. But I just know in the back of my mind they will be worn out within a year or less. And thats just from me using them in hospitals being an IT technician.

    Lower your prices, Vivo! I would buy several pairs. Thank goodness for Merrell’s affordability because these companies jack up the prices so high that I find it silly to even consider purchasing.

    I use Vivobarefoot shoes exclusively now, after being forced to give up conventional footwear due to plantar fasciitis. I use 3 mm Lululemon yoga mat material as replacement insoles. I found these shoes better than all other brands of barefoot footwear.

      Let's be honest there dude, it is a barefoot shoes, I just visited India and china.... this barefoot things sold there as cheap as $10, you can get the non vivo barefoot out of amazon without even go to foreign country as low as $20... that is how ridiculously expensive this vivo is, I mean what separates vivo from the chinese or india's brand? did they last longer? How much longer?

      slothypunk - No, I am a stingy, super-haggling Indian from India, who has no taste and doesn’t grasp the concept of intrinsic value, USP (unique selling proposition) and/or emotive style/appeal of a brand and its products. Purely doing cost-based analysis is my choice for buying products, and I’m happy to save a dollar or two here or there to snag ugly products at bargain basement prices. Those products are also a reflection of myself, and the personal brand I want to present to the world around me.

    • @slothypunk
      @slothypunk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christopherarmstrong2710 what is so intrinsic about vivobarefoot shoes? It is actually just a brand that no one knows really, except those stuck up people trying to be different, I mean nothing wrong with it if you got money it is your money. It is barefoot shoes so there is no technology in it really! What is so USP from vivobarefoot?

    I have two pairs of vivo shoes. The first pair insoles kept slipping around and became uncomfortable. The second pair had the heel rip in a couple months of office wear. I contacted them and they wouldn’t repair or replace the shoes. Overall the designs are great, but they need to bump up the durability and bring down the pricing. Mid $100 range for basically slippers is too much to compete imo especially now that other competitors are offering shoes in the $75 to $100 range like Lems.

    I want to share my experience with Eclipse sandals. I am currently wearing a third pair.
    Vivobarefoot ECLIPSE Rubber Finisterre Black were my first sandals. They lasted me for two years. After these two seasons, they gradually fell apart - the string between my fingers pulled out of the hole, because the lower thread first broke in half and then broke completely and the string pulled out. I was still trying to save it in some way, because the sole was in good condition. I wore them for a while by pulling the original string through the hole and tying it with tight twine. It lasted, but not for long. Then I exchanged the strap on each sandal for strings and tied the huarachi style.
    As for the fastening straps, they were the second best. Fixed with little need for adjustment.
    My second sandals were Vivobarefoot ECLIPSE Rubber Black / Chilli. Sandals that I wore longer than the first ones. They were the best of the three. They just fell apart this season just like Finisterre. From the bottom of the sole, the plastic body was crushed, broken in half and the string was pulled out. As for fastening, quite often I had to adjust the strap to the instep when walking.
    This year I bought Vivobarefoot Eclipse Eco Men. I don't know where the developers made a mistake, but these sandals get incredibly annoying to me. The method of attachment to the instep is absolutely bad. I have to move the belt all the time and I'm always afraid that I'll tear the delicate leatherette. The side belts are worn out (maybe also from the shifting) and I wear them for about 1 month. I also took a picture of it.
    And without offense, Vivobarefoot. I can't imagine using your Vivobarefoot TOTAL ECLIPSE LUX M Black sandals for leisure activities. That leather sole would stink and be dirty in a month of use. So I'm far from thinking about buying them. And definitely the Eclipse Eco Men were the last sandals I bought from this company. I also have other shoes from Vivobarefoot, but unfortunately, they focus more on the image than on the quality. (The SAAMI vivobarefoot broke up for me in a week of wearing it. From the inside at the thumbs, the complaint was settled three times with a final refund).

      @matejbanik7520 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      During the next month of wearing Vivobarefoot Eclipse Eco Men, I start to lose patience with these sandals. I'm incredibly furious at how they can't be fixed. I still have to adapt/adjust/customize/modify/set/shape/ them. If you want to keep your nerves healthy, don't buy these sandals. Funny about this is, that I complain at vivobarefoot company and no answer no help nothing....

    This companys shoes last probably 1/2 or 1/3 the amount of time as a normal shoe. No joke. They rip and tear wherever the shoes bend, most likely in part because of the inferior eco friendly crap they use to make em. Just about negates all the eco friendly bullshit they pump.
    Also constantly out of stock.

      That has not been my experience at all. My merrells have holes all over the soles, to the point that i can stick my toe through the bottom, after just 2 years. The first pair didnt even last that long. But my gobi’s are still perfectly in tact after 5 years.

    i've got 6 pairs. literally all my shoes are VB. they are great, BUT. first, they need to start making and selling the insoles again! second, they need to think more about the design. some silly decisions make the foot slightly uncomfortable or inconvenient (i'm looking at Borough, with metal bits that hurt the ankle!). and some of the designs are also.. looking crap. yes, you are different than other shoes. but don't try to be different too hard.

      Agreed. Some terrible designs of late. And they disontinue the good ones duuh! And yes, the innersoles, I need about 8 pairs! They havent made a decent street trainer in ages, the new ones look like weird slipper flippers (!). They made the best golf she...discontiued. They made the best desert boot...discontinued. They made the best work shoes ...not available, sorry. I still love them (and am even a shareolder) but currently lookig at other shoes Muki etc...

    So this is why the shoes are so damn overpriced. I love the gobi’s but 150$ is what you would pay for a well made boot, not a basic peasant shoe lol.
