I’ve had several Aluma trailers over the years and picking up a new 7712HBT next week. You made a good choice. One tip I would give you is your tail gate pins are what I would call backwards. If the pin “handle” is in the inside with the cotter pin to the outside, all you have to do is pull cotter pin and leave the pin in the tailgate and swing the brave away. Plus you can do it one handed while holding the tailgate up. Mine are wedged tight and don’t move. I think it’s designed that way so you don’t have to beat it out and file hole bigger.
    Enjoy your new trailer!

Thanks for watching and for the great feedback. Maybe it will keep another viewer from getting out the file :)

Great review. I just bought the same trailer used (2019 Aluma) however a 14 ft. x 78 inch deck. Same ramp. I shopped and shopped the used market until I found this one. After my first hunting trip last weekend with my boys and our sxs and quad I'm very impressed. Towes awesome. The rear ramp is soooo much better then tilt. I use side ramps (my own not Aluma option) to load my atv on the front sideways... SxS in the rear. Perfect. Glad I found a 14 foot. The LED's are very nice as you indicated. My Thundercat goes in the back of my pick up. Quite the load but it all works our perfect with the 14 foot trailer.

You should tie down using the wheels. The suspension moves up and down when going down the road.

I have a brand new evolution golf cart. I need to run it through the strap through the bumper rack instead of the chassis! I did that one time strapping through chassis and my ratchet straps had holes in them. Thank you for the video!

Nice trailer. I had a 7712H BT for the last for years and loved it. Dido on the tailgate pins you have them backwards. The Bi-fold gate is heavier but it is also longer so the ramp is not so steep. The Bi-fold is to the back so it does not take up trailer space. After 6 months of waiting I just got my new 7812 BT with an Air Dam 2 days ago and love it. It's HEAVY DUTY so I can haul anything and it's nice to have brakes as my new Ranger Northstar is one big heavy machine.

Nice review. Heading to Greenbriier Tn next week to pick one up. Got a NS Ranger and have been looking for the perfect trailer close to me. This review sold me. Thanks.

I see this is old but I would use four seperate straps just incase one breaks besides some states require four seperate tiedowns .

Nice, assume you mean the bifold? Are you happy with it or is it a "bear" to unfold like the dealer told me? Thanks for watching.

Would you be putting extra stress on the rails by strapping it there instead of the tie down point

I don't think so, that area seems way more solid than the tie down point welds. Thanks for watching.

BTW, that was not a backup light, it's a light for your license plate.

Ha Joe, thanks, Yeah I figured that out since it was always on. I was relieved to know that wasn't an issue in my wiring. Thanks for watching.
