Disregarding the fact that KBOS is possibly the tiniest, tightest place an A380 has regular passenger service in, I highly suspect the BA pilots totally missed bringing up the airport diagram on their flight displays (they have a ground map feature!) and did not review the taxiways and NOTAMs on the way in.
When did this happen? Could you please give us a date in the description, pretty please? I mean, that's what a video description is for. A place to put useful information
@wildgurgs3614 I read it when the video leaves information out. I really don't think I'm 1 of every 100 people. I think your made up statistics don't match reality.
A380 should know exactly where they can and cannot be. ATC may or may not have given instructions that compromised the aircraft, but pilots have the charts. They are responsible. If in doubt wait, ask.
Pilot deviations don't always end up leading to a check ride. But if you notice, the pilot not only missed a taxiway, they also committed a runway incursion by crossing the parallel. That will end up being a PD 110% of the time.
I agree with possible fatigue. But two pilots looking at the same information should be able to navigate an airport, interact with ATC and understand the restricted taxiways that are marked for super on the EFB. Weird one this. I like BA, but weird.
He missed the taxiway he was supposed to take, crossed a runway he wasn't supposed to cross, and went onto an unused taxiway that he couldn't continue down.
It is like rule #1 to taxiing, don't enter onto a runway you aren't cleared to enter.
Problem began when Speedbird failed to read back the taxi instructions. Unacceptable. And tower didn’t call them out on it. Also unacceptable.
Only hold short instruction is required to be read back. The problem was the airliner crossed 22R and that wasn't in the taxi instructions
@ That was part of the clearance provided. Speedbird neglected to read back the rest. Not good.
When you get a phone number before you even leave the ground 😆

"Snookered" is an understatement
Well, well….
This time were not chinese pilots, this time failed in the same language….
Amazing !
Second set of movement instructions sounded much better understood than the first. His initial read back was not too confident.

True, but no one reads it. By no one I mean 99%, and you might be part of that remaining 1%, but I think my argument holds water.

Agreed. We need the full context, including time/date and location.

Possible deviation for missing a taxiway? Is it really that easy to end up needing a check ride?

And crossing a runway without clearance too.

The dreaded, Copy this phone number”!
Oof
I couldn't work out what the deviation was.
Runway incursion. Plane entered a runway they were not cleared to cross

@JamesH-uniquechannelname 🤣
Another pilot that sound fatigued AF.
