Cool architecture around by the spa. Good the loos are free, as they should be. Bridders is a decent seaside town! Even better than Scarborough? I'm not sure, what do you think, Nick and Jill? 😅
Good question Matt, it’s a little rough around the edges but very up and coming. Property prices are still very low there and it’s attracting more and more visitors every year. If I had any money I’d invest HEAVILY in Brid, you could get an amazing return in just 5/10 years. Speculative id say double at the very least. As for the drone.. it’s the bane of our lives. On drone number two after the pigeon attack that killed the first one, on trying to get our Brid aerial shots we got attacked by twenty seagulls that were nowhere to be seen seconds before we took off. My life would be a thousand times better off without it and yet I can still appreciate how a few seconds here and there might make any video, tv show or film that much more appealing in the right hands and with a tiny measure..
@@no_soy_rubio luckily I took out the £85 for two years insurance (which you have to buy within 48 hours of turning the drone on for the first time). @no_soy_rubio I think they have an option where they would repair it under warranty, not sure how much they charge for that. If it’s user error you pay for parts I think. Letting a pigeon knock it out of the sky is probably user error! 😂
Bridlington looks lovely ... that beach is stupendous! At 5 million visitors a year, that's 13,699 per day ...if only people would spread their visits haha This day, all be it in August, looks just to be nicely buzzing ... so much space both on the beach & prom prom prom. I hope at least some of them are consumed locally & not all whisked away to posh cities or abroad. Lovely stroll out, well done 😎😎🤗🤗xx
probably most whisked off abroad although I did find one restaurant that claimed to be serving locally caught fresh lobster! those Ganzy Knitters? a pattern for each seaside town with which to identify drowned sailors that would wash up on shore. such different times we live in and yet still not so long ago. id love a pattern made in a local knit. that would be something to be proud of. given the amount of tourists it attracts from all over the place does seem spotless, somebody is doing a marvellous job!
What a lovely place to visit, except for all the seagulls I loved the beautiful clean water, free toilets and clean beach area...what a great area...Beautiful statue of the Gansey knitter....very inexpensive boat ride..it did get pretty crowded in spots I can't believe all the fish and chips places🙃 I'll have a hot dog and ice cream please! crazy isn’t it? Yorkshires worst resort. if you have a family there is so much to do in Brid that it should be in the top three. the ratings are all wrong and it’s something we will quickly get to the bottom of in tonight’s video! I think most Lobsters are exported sadly, for me I’d love to see more consumed locally and have people come from all over to try them (makes more sense!) oh really sorry about the prem, you had over 120 lovely people there and there was just the same two people spamming so much that it was impossible to read everyone else’s lovely comments. I've only been to Bridlington a couple of times when my old college mate lived there (it will be almost 30 years!). It was a couple of nights out and we ended up in a nightclub once - I think it was the only one in Brid (Harbour Lights rings a bell)! I certainly recognised more of the south promenade and the harbour area. I remember him saying the locals weren't keen on 'Wessies' - folk from West Yorkshire invading on Bank Holiday weekends and Summer Holidays, mainly because they liked to drink too much and start problems - the good old English tourist! Hopefully you didn't encounter any of that on your walk!
oh my goodness Andy. crazy you say that because Fridays video is us trying to get to grips with why it’s voted the worst seaside town in Yorkshire and quite often the worst in the UK. we talked to a local (and no word of a lie had to cut this bit out) but he said the exact same. he said it’s great until the summer comes and the place gets invaded by Wessies! crazy, never heard that before! 👍
First video ive seen that explains the statue on the pier fully. As i thought it was to do with them making the nets for the boats. Have you ever gone further up towards the south shore holiday camp
Hi there Ian yeah we did a walk out that way (we didn’t film) but there is a nice cafe and walking under the wind turbines is different! Love how the Guernsey jumper knitters are interesting I think they did have a hand in helping with the nets I believe there is a statue. in Whitby for the net makers 👍

haha I had quick read of your comment on our trek. Thank you for your help. During the premiere, I hardly greet whomever show up. We don't buy memberships with any channels and I communicate only few guests who are kindly chat with me in English. Over 10 languages mingle, and English is not their common tongue. I used to be targeted BC K7S take jacket away and they are slowed. Many guests finally agree with me that they're fed up with emojis since the pandemic. Apologies that I am not able to change their behavior at this pont.
crazy isn’t it? Yorkshires worst resort. if you have a family there is so much to do in Brid that it should be in the top three. the ratings are all wrong and it’s something we will quickly get to the bottom of in tonight’s video! I think most Lobsters are exported sadly, for me I’d love to see more consumed locally and have people come from all over to try them (makes more sense!)
oh really sorry about the prem, you had over 120 lovely people there and there was just the same two people spamming so much that it was impossible to read everyone else’s lovely comments. I didn’t want everyone to know that I’d blocked them but after I did it was so easy to read what everyone else was saying.
your videos are always incredible adventures and I’m glad you get so much worldwide support for what you love doing. you have a great channel. we would love one day to have such an amazing community like yours but im sure it will be way, way, way off! ♥️🚣🏿
@@GENerationXplorers Oooops I meant export not import...excuse me. I need a nap before your show. hhaha. Oh You and jill have an empire. You have such loyal audience who love your content and mostly your personalities. We love YOU, two, besties
@ms.kayak7seas thank you, love you two xx
you know i love these walks! gonna have me a little snack, take a break, and chill out to this for a bit. resisted the urge to type along like i usually do as i really wanted to relax. but you know i have thoughts! 🤣 mainly surrounding lobster, seagulls and bathrooms. i want to eat some lobster now. like right now. although sounds like i'd be tripping over fish n chip shops! if the seagulls don't get me first. 👀 but i have real thoughts about this free toilet situation. this seems terrible to me. i pee a lot. guess i would need to budget for loo use. 🤭 what time of day was this? the beaches looked kind of empty. such a beautiful coastline, thanks for taking me along! 🛴❤
hi Anne this was filmed about 3pm on a Sunday mid August but the place is vast! We reckon everyone was in either the 60 pubs or all the fish and chip shops 🤣 Always love your fun quirky comments! Who cares how much you use the loos when they are free 🤷🏻♀️🤣 more to come from Brid in Fridays video but with us and our silliness 🤣❤️
@@GENerationXplorers lol! i meant i'd have to budget for everywhere but there as they're the only free ones left on that coast! fingers not as fast as brain sometimes. 😅what's with the other spots. i need to pee! 🤣 my sis is coming to visit, so i may not get to watch right away, but you know i love your silliness and will! hoping for twirls and *cough* good *cough singing. 🤣
I'm moving to brid ,I don't know how ,haven't got two bob to scratch my ause with 😂 but i love brid .
Good on ya Roy 👍 go with your heart! We love it grows on us everytime we visit! Wishing you all the best with the move ❤️
What an awesome boardwalk that is! Beach looked so clean and inviting. Was that your drone in the beginning? Cool shot 👍🏼
Hi LB yes it was 😬🫣🤣 trying to get braver but was almost attacked again by seagulls lol! more on this lovely seaside town in tonight’s/todays prem! Love ya ❤️
Where there are now loud ugly fun- rides, there were peaceful lawns, flower beds with wooden benches. You choose?
Oh gosh I never got to see those. I’m going to have to google them! Thanks
do you fishing nick. my dad likes to fish. i like catching my fish in a super market.
I did do my fair share of fishing growing up, the biggest thing I caught was a Roach, I set it free though, how about you?
@@GENerationXplorers i caught a 10 pound woli when i was a kid. we got him up to the boat. my dad gaffed him. but he jumped off.
do you like camping nick? when i was a kid i used to love camping. now i like staying in motels, and pretending i am in the woods.
You and me both Kris, I need creature comforts the older I get. I like an outdoor space wherever I stay though and sometimes sit out all night enjoying it!
Good walk, but we missed your witty commentry 🤣 There's still some free toilets on the front of Whitby at the top end below the lift 👍
hello there lovely crazy elephant lady! Are you based in Whitby? Aaww yes this was just a walking tour but Fridays video will be us and our silly commentary 🤣🤣 Free toilets are a blessing in this day and age 🤣 have a lovely weekend ❤️
Hi there, we live in Pickering but go to Whitby regularly on the train 🚂 Hope to see you about sometime 👍
