A lot of people saying you're going too fast, but this was perfect. Leading review in why I actually chose this car, as I've never seen the self-park in action, or how well it will suit me when I too dress up as a 60 year old geezer.
Watched this a few times in the run up to putting an order in for an ST Line X Edition.... managed to get one of the last 1.5 182ps ecoboost engines. Keep up the good work!

Did the St line X you drove have ambient lighting. I saw a European one had it in a video but UK seems not? So much for ford's same spec for all approach

Pedro Silva First Ford, love it. Came from Vauxhall and don't regret it at all. I adore the steering wheel, not sure why!

Are the wing mirrors automatically closing/opening when locked an unlocked? And at night do the headlights come on when you unlock the car?

I’ve got an st line x edition and I love it, only 125 bhp but in sport mode it goes well, extremely comfortable ride, holds the road well and I upgraded to B&O sound system which I’d say is a must for £500, also panaramic roof for £900 definitely a good option
What sound system did you add for upgrade?

Good review. Few questions as I'm looking at one of these for my parents (St line maybe but hard to find with parking sensors). Them wheels make the car a total different animal. Can the lane departure warning be turned off, would drive me mad constantly interfering. Do the 18s make it a very firm ride say on B roads? One other niggly thing that nobody seems to mention (so maybe its just me) is the infotainment screen. The knob that says 'tuning' is basically redundant and I wish to god you could use it instead as a rotary dial for scrolling through say your songs or scrollling through the infotainment rather than having to stretch and touch or drag when driving.
Thanks for the feedback! The lane departure feature can be turned off completely by pressing a button, which is located at the end of the left steering wheel stalk. Regarding the 18-inch wheels, I wouldn't say the ride is too firm, but I would advise you to test one out at a dealership if I were you. The 'Tune' knob can be used for scrolling through radio stations and other media (USB/Bluetooth/AUX etc), so you don't have to you touch the screen while driving. You can also do this as well by the right steering wheel control button, too. I hope this helps!

Good review! I’ve just ordered the STline same colour. Have had 2 test drives and it is such a fun car to drive. Love the 1.5 Turbo and the 8 speed auto 👍🏻😁

And me. I've just ordered mine too, in the same colour as well. Ford were doing a promo until last Sunday with £279 deposit, £279pm - 38 months. I added a few extras, but the partX of my old car has brought it down to £235pm :)

Halogen headlight, are they taking the biscuit? Great view. Considering between this and golf gti mk7.
M Man+ If you're still considering the FOCUS & Mk7 GOLF, i would highly recommend also taking a look at the SEAT-LEON. They've just released the brand new MK4 model, but the MK3 is a brilliant car! It had an exterior face lift in 2016, along with numerous technical/mechanical updates too. It shares the (Exact) same chassis & engines as the GOLF.. However SEAT Offer a (LOT) more car for a LOT cheaper than VW do with their GOLF.. & SEAT also tune their VW-Engines to provide more Power & Torque than VW present them with in the GOLF. Its sometimes actually scored higher than the VW-GOLF In motoring reviews, even tho they're technically the same car. Its been known for some reviewers to even say that SEAT have done a better job of setting up the handling & ride quality in the LEON than VW have in the GOLF.
Advice plz should I buy the ST LINE X or THE ST LINE X EDITION.

Hello. So the exterior package is the same on the St line x which we just seen and all the latest uploads are the same. I have one on order and my choice of colour is metallic grey! ? ! ? .. . . .

@@neilwatt5497 I was going to get the metallic gray or Ruby red but settled for moondust silver! They are all lovely colours. The dealership has it but they have to check it all, so hopefully picking it up tuesday!
neil watt picked mine up Tuesday, absolutely amazing car, looks 10x better than any photo I had seen of it. It’s my first car, been saving for a while so decided to get this focus. Way more punchy and exciting than the car I learned in for my driving lessons. Only downside I can see to this car is that when going over a speed bumps at 8mph it took some paint of the underside of the number (not seeable unless you look under the car) which is a bit annoying, but there was nothing I could of done differently. I hope you get yours soon, enjoy!!!
I have an MK4 2016 Seat Ibiza FR which I love and is lots of fun but this might be my future car especially if I need something bigger and also fun as looks good as well! 1.5 petrol st line most likely will get!

I've got same car but diesel and my speakers do the same I've downloaded android auto and that seems to stop it

Thanks for the Great review, I’m torn between the standard st line or this st line x in basically the same colour. Are the upgrades worth the price difference? Also I’m not sure if a 1 litre EcoBoost engine is enough, or should I go for the 1.5 litre EcoBoost petrol engine. 😩
It really depends if you feel the extra features will benefit you or not. Regarding the engines, if you have a heavy right foot then maybe you should lean towards the 1.5-litre, although I've read good reviews on the 1.0-litre 125bhp too. My best advice would be to call up a Ford dealer and ask if you can test out both engines. I hope this helps and thank you for your feedback!
Definitely go for the X - subject to price difference. Stuff like auto dimming mirror auto wipers and parking sensors front and rear quickly make a difference. Then the leather trim and dual zone climate too. As for engines, I have the 1.0 and does the trick
Anthony Ironmonger thanks for the advice mate, I viewed an st line X today for the 1st time at the dealership, the car is gorgeous, I’ve been told I have to wait 6-8 months for a 1.5 litre as it has to be factory built, but I can pick up a brand new 1.0 litre st line x in chrome blue as early as next week which isn’t my ideal colour as I preferred the magnetic grey but it does have a b & o sound system & panoramic sunroof installed in the car, so I’m thinking about it at the moment. Decision time lol
Nej89 if it’s factory order you can spec if you want so if your budget allows it’s worth the wait :) but chrome blue is nice. The one I test drove was chrome blue. I do with I had the sun roof and b&o though haha. Good luck! You can’t go wrong with either choice

Hi mate. If you choose the B&O sound system, does that sub replace the spare tyre? Sorry if that’s a silly question but I just had to ask
I think so, but I'm not entirely sure. I know in the earlier model year Focus's, the sub is where the spare wheel would be. But I don't know if Ford have put it inside the o/s/r quarter panel trim like the 2020 model year Fiesta. You're best to ask a Ford dealership just to be sure. Even if the sub replaces the spare wheel, you should still get an inflation kit instead. I hope this helps!

@@KA6ED No problem. I've got no idea as I've never used one before either. From what I've been told, they can be messy and more hassle than a spare wheel.

I actually started off using an action camera, but most of my footage is now filmed on a DSLR camera. But don't worry to much about what equipment you use. People will want to watch more of your videos because of you, rather than the quality of the footage (in most cases). Thank you for the feedback! It was just the standard sound system unfortunately. If you watch my review of the Fiesta Active, which has the B&O sound system, I go through the specifications and show you briefly what it sounds like! 😊
On my older focus you have an option to change sound to the driver side.

I know the ST-Line X Edition now comes as standard with full LED headlights and a digital instrument cluster, but that’s all I know. You’re best to speak to the dealership you bought the car from, and they’ll tell you what features are included. I hope this helps and enjoy your new car!

Oh and no that's not the Emergency Brake Assist behind the handbrake, it's the Auto Hold.
How does the Auto Hold work in a focus please?
P W Bradburn Works when you’re at a stop light. Holds the brake for you so that you don’t have to step on the brake pedal while waiting for the green light. Only found on electronic parking brake cars like the i30, Golf, SEAT Leon, and Mazda 3

Moveid Naqvi Yes. It’s actually one of the purpose of why Auto Hold functions for electronic parking brakes were introduced in the first place.

We have an Astra K 1.6 110 (on paper same as focus and 0 to 60 etc); we had to test drive the focus twice, once in a far away dealer and once at home. No lie the Astra would leave the focus sitting....I mean even my dad who in his mid 50s and not as a big of a car head was turned off by the lack of oomph....when we came back the dealer was speechless by the objection that it felt slow....I'd say he never would have thought we would think its slow. Its baffling cuz on paper and everything they are identical. You should drive a used astra 1.6 110k; really nice low down torque
is the sub not standard?
Unfortunately not. The subwoofer comes with the B&O sound system which is an optional extra for the ST-Line X trim.

@@ijv5567 If there's a 'B&O' logo where the speakers are on the door trims then you have the sound system. If not, you'll just have the standard sound system. Hope this helps!

There's pictures in the article of the logos I'm on about. If you're still not too sure, you're best to call a Ford dealer and they can tell you what features your car has.

Have a rewatch with the CC on and consider that arond 80-90% of your audience have gone as your commentary is not understood even with CC on we get inthe first 20 sconds "how it stops and on my man twice all the car but first ill show you a practical comfort"
