      Great video and it help me to dunk but when i showed my coach that i could dunk he said that i travelled. I watched this video again and yes it is travel. Because : Last dribble , left foot , right foot , left foot that's travel. You need to dribble the ball when your left foot lands not before it. I thought i just let you guys know.

    Hey, I'm about 5'9 and I can get up and grab rim pretty easy but when I go to try and dunk with a ball it seems as if I don't get as high without a ball. Was curious if what I could do to help this

      Practice with a small ball (Tennis Ball) on a shorter rim!

  • @RanyboyG
    @RanyboyG 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    what would you say is the problem if i jump, but the ball grazes the side of the rim, is that a form problem, jumping problem, or what, also what do you recommend me doing to improve

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That means that you just need to make sure you are jumping a little higher. A couple more inches on your vertical!

    Hey coach, do you maybe know why after i twisted my ankle first time its happening too often now, and i need like 2weeks to recover, i have deep shoes so i think theyre not problem, sorry for my bad English its not my first language :)

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! Unfortunately, we aren't able to provide medical advice and you should contact your doctor for further advice! Your shoes should fit properly, have a rigid sole with limited breaks, and provide adequate ankle support depending on your playing style and preference!

    Hey! I'm 1,77cm, I can dunk on 9' rim, and can touch the 10', do You think I should dunk out of 1 foot or 2 feet? I love your vídeos, they r great and help me a lot! Greats from brazil

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Joao! Best method is to go try both and see which feels more natural and produces better results for you. If you can't tell, get a friend to record you on video and analyze it. It's beneficial to learn and know both methods, however some athletes will see better results from one method over the other based on body type, build, condition, athleticism, etc.

    do you have any tips for people that weigh more. i'm 6'2" and about 207 pounds but its all muscle. really want to be able to do this for next season . please help me

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man, we'll you're in the right spot. Most bigger guys are going to benefit from a two foot take off. This allows you to use the muscle mass in your lower & upper body for explosive power, relying less on forward momentum and speed. If you're in the gym already, focus on weight training, some good plyo's, and stick to fixing your take-off footwork

    Do the dunking on smaller basket help me to jump higher ? I am about 5'9".

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes man it's a great idea to start on a shorter net to get the "Feeling" of completing a dunk, work on ball control while bringing it overhead, etc.

    • @user-tv6cw5um5l
      @user-tv6cw5um5l 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      THINCPRO Basketball The ball and the ring are also smaller.

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That should be fine until you feel you've outgrown the size of the ball / rim! We suggest many of our athletes to start with a tennis ball to get the "feeling" of dunking!

    • @user-tv6cw5um5l
      @user-tv6cw5um5l 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THINCPRO Basketball My " ball for dunking " is bigger than tennis ball.

    Hey, I'm around 5'9" and I can jump off 1 foot and touch the bottom of the backboard. I know, that is pathetic but I feel like I have way more potential. I understand that I could probably jump way higher off 2 feet, only if I figured it out, like planting my feet and timing.

    • @ThincPROBasketball
      @ThincPROBasketball  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep up the hard work Peyton! Best method is to try both approaches, film your jumps, and see which feels more natural and produces better results. It's great to know and practice both techniques, however some athletes can excel at one over the other!
