The insane part about this great breakdown is there are plays hes made that demonstrate these skills in far more ridiculous ways in his tape. Been watching SC football for decades and we've never seem a QB who could do what Caleb does and SC has had a lot of good ones. He's next level.
At 4:00 in, that shot reminds me of the Air Jordan logo. If he does become one of the great sports legends in Chicago, he will have a statue of that pose in front of Soldier Field...
I’m a hard rams fan. Homer. But as a Trojan I gotta root for Caleb as a Bear. I always root former Trojans on and he is def going to be rooted for every Sunday
As a Bears fan I sure hope he takes us to the Superbowl several times and wins, with that said he has never taken an NFL snap from Center. My concern is how will he perform under center and not in shotgun in short yardage ?
Players, coaches, scouts, etc: "We've studied the film and stats. Caleb is gonna be something special in the pros." Armchair Twitter/TH-cam "analysts": "Uhmm ackhually, he's gonna be a bust. Did you not see him crying to his mom and painting his fingernails??"
The first play he showed of Caleb, there was ZERO pressure to make that pass, but he did get it out fast. The second play, he actually went through the progression quickly, so that was Very Good, The third play is a nice quick read and placement. But the NFL is a LOT faster, and he will have a LOT of pressure. I am hopeful for this kid like I was for JF. BEAR DOWN.
My only gripe about Caleb is his tendency to hold onto the ball for far too long and getting sacked. He needs to learn to get rid of the ball fast and let the playmakers get a chance to make plays.
Unlike Fields…. He is able to hold on and look for receivers to get open. I think/hope he will build like many players from college and adapt to the NFL
I understand Joel is much more experienced scouting QB's than myself, and I will admit the only game I saw Caleb play was the Colorado game. I didn't care about the coach Prime hype, I just watched to scout Caleb. But to my eyes, I saw a guy who moves good and has a very flexible arm so he can make any angle from sidearm to overhead work, but he just didn't jump off the screen as Wow this guy is elite/crazy good/generational talent/guaranteed NFL Pro Bowler, or whatever other hyperbol you want to attach to him. I am old enough that I remember what Jim Plunket/Dan Marino/John Elway/Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck looked like in college...they looked not only like they were the best player on the college field but possibly the NFL too. I just didn't see that with Caleb. If you want to see what I am talking about, go scout Dan Marino in the '82 Sugar Bowl.
3 years in the same system. 🤔. You guys aren’t being objective at all. But what do you care because when he’s a bust, you will be talking about someone else. Not one of these draft gurus have stood up and said they were wrong about Zach Wilson.
@@OrlandoS1111 I really did, delete your assumptions and realize that starting spots in the NFL are usually pre-season competitions. You don't get put on a throne out of college
Smaller, slower, weaker than Fields, and holds the ball longer too. 33 fumbles in 31 games, 16 last year alone. Obvious regression in his senior year. Folds under real pressure. Obviously psychologically fragile. Kyler Murray 2.0 at best.
Can’t definitely judge players when they have literally nothing around them. Why do you think so many people are split on Justin Fields. Bears had nothing around him for his first two years and injuries to him and the Bears team plagued them this past year. Hard to tell, but if Caleb goes to Bears and plays like trash? Then it’ll be on him considering the teams situation now compared to Justin Fields
Caleb Williams reminds me of Cam Newton. Very talented, will probably put up some numbers, but is not aleader of men. No nfl pro is going to follow a nail painting softy. Hopefully the Bears already have some leadership on that team.
He's absolutely NOT elite. There's NOTHING "special" whatsoever about him. He's the most overrated & not even the best QB prospect in this year's draft.
Will Caleb Williams win NFL Rookie of the Year next season?
If the Bears or whoever drafts him gives him protection, then yes
Probably not. How many number 1 picks have won rookie of the year? 6. 3 RBs and 3 QBs, Kyler Murray the last.
It's possible, IF he takes his team to the playoffs.
yes easily
Nope
Can't wait to see him in the navy blue and orange. Bear down!
That 18 is gonna look nice on him.

Bear Da f@$k down! 🐻👇🏻 LFG 🔥!!!
He’s Marcus Mariota. Good luck to you.
@@marioc1836huh? 😂💀
Hes going to put up 28 points a game in this offense. No interceptions on 3rd or 4th down.
Weve never seen this in Chicago.

To the Bear fans. Caleb has NEVER played with a GOOD DEFENSE!!! Chicago is about to become a DYNASTY!!! FIGHT ON.
You’re an SC fan also?
Yessir‼️ imma 🐻 and USC fan
And the Bears have never played with a good quarterback.
I’m turgid
Caleb is not an NFL quality QB. he will fail.
What strikes me about Caleb is the number of receivers he hits in stride. His receivers keep their feet. DJ Moore could get 2000 yards this season.

On his pro day, I was surprised he did not take ALL his snaps from under a REAL center.

"but Caleb Williams is an Elite player" .. all I need to hear, and I pray it all works out for my Bears !!
His mobility is underrated. He can cook on the run. Like a better Jalen Hurst.

We need an interior line.
TTNL BABY!
He's a threat to fumble running holding the ball like that.
Oh, it's not a threat. He led the nation in QB fumbles last season.
Lets Take This NFC North Back!!!!!

Looks like Jonny manzel
Minus the drug and alcohol problem. He’s maybe a little taller and thicker, stronger arm.
@@jb3thegreatest623 sounds great
Now show him against the one good defense he played against last year. 3 picks against ND and sacked 6 times.
My only gripe about Caleb is his tendency to hold onto the ball for far too long and getting sacked. He needs to learn to get rid of the ball fast and let the playmakers get a chance to make plays.

Just forget the Colorado game film. Colorado did not have a defense.

haha wait until Caleb proves you wrong ❤
Do you scout movies too.
I don’t see it… just sayin 😊
He’s not gonna be running around in circles in the pocket like that in the pros
I can’t wait for the Caleb haters to be eating their words in September
Compare that to Justin Fields

Will be the biggest bust ever can’t wait
Tyson Bagent is far more advanced in than Caleb, 3 inches taller, and way more fit. Caleb can ride the bench and learn
You really said Bagent? Delete this comment and stop talking football

You said the same thing about Bryce young I take your opinion with a grain of salt
I don’t think many QBs would do well in Carolina
Bryce Young has nothing to work with in Carolina.

Nobody said Bryce was a generational talent with amazing arm talent.
3 qualities are missing: leadership, maturity and resilience. As a Bears fan Penix has those and Caleb doesn't. it worries me.
