I thought their Mercedes was brand new. Later in the story it's falling apart from lack of maintenance which doesn't make sense for a new car.

@kens32052 Just like Hollywood, they alter things for the immediate scene. "Artistic privilege" I believe is the excuse. Continuity, common sense and logic are verboten.
