I have one too that I bought to replace an older one that someone had given to me. I love it except that it's not easy to see the water level. Other than that it's great. It's also very useful that it can sit on its heal which is why I didn't change brands. The other leading iron like this one does not allow that nor did my older steam pro. Amazing steam and great iron.
Curious to know why you are not using that iron anymore? Did it start dripping and spitting as regular irons do? I was hoping all that would be negated by the separate iron reservoir. Can't tell you how many irons I have gone through over the years!!
@jostauffer6637 I use this iron daily. It’s one of the best investments I’ve made. I haven’t had any issues with dripping or spitting. It far exceeds any iron I’ve used in the past.
Do you still recommend it? I am thinking about purchasing this one so I am curious to see if you still like it after your initial video. Also, do you use starch (like Flatter or Best Press) on your seams along with the steam? Thank you :)
Seeing the tank holds a ton of water, I’m wondering if it starts smelling musty if it sits for a couple days? Is it recommended you empty it after each use?
Great question! So far I have not noticed any musty scents. The longest I’ve left water in there is 3 days. I forgot to empty it. Yes, it is recommended to empty the tank each time your done with the iron.
I’d keep the water chamber thingy lol under your pressing table in that basket area where the oliso lives. That way you have longer cord and better reach!
Hi June- I purchased the cart from Michaels. You can find it here. I love mine! www.michaels.com/product/kensington-table-rolling-cart-by-simply-tidy-10624017

It doesn't suck water from the tank to the hand held iron. The water tank in the base is a pressure vessel with a heater that boils the water inside. A pressure switch connected to the tank turns the heating element off whenever the steam pressure gets too high. The steam trigger switch on the hand held iron powers a solenoid valve that allows steam to go through a tube from the base unit to the hand held iron after passing through an adjustable flow regulator. The flow regulator allows you to control how much steam you get out if the iron. The iron itself has a typical temperature dial for synthetics through wools. I'm in the process of repairing an earler model for a friend and that's how I came to know how these steam pros work. I'm expecting to receive a new pressure switch later today and that should complete my repairs. FYI, the cap on the water tank has a spring loaded pressure relief valve in it to prevent the tank from bursting in the event that the pressure switch fails like the one in the unit I'm repairing. The advantage of this unit is that it allows professionals who have lots if ironing to do to leave the iron and steam generator powered on for ling periods so that you can immediately start irining AND have lots more steam than a regular iron. You can also use the iron as a steamer for clothes on hangers or for drapes. But, if you just do a little ironing from time to time, you're better off getting a regular iron because they are smaller, lighter, and much less expensive. I myself have a Rowenta professional iron that I bought from Costco about 25 years ago and it works great and delivers a lot of steam with the steam burst function, but not as much steam as these steam pro units do.
So, I am guessing the pads on the base are kevlar or something that won't melt. I just got mine in the mail from Amazon and was curious about that so went to the YT for answers. I didn't see yours melting when you set the hot iron on the base so I guess that answers that. Thanks for the video.
I like it but for me, the cord is too short. I do not have a big table to keep it on top. I just barely got it so I am still learning about the buttons to the sides of the power
@@dhrtiwalter8670 You don’t need to clean the cord the water travels through. It is attached to the iron and tank. It has a compartment on the iron that collects calcium buildup and you do need to check, empty and clean that. 😊

Hell0....my stop steaming and it will get hot but will not steam anymore. I didn let it sit for a 2 weeks with water in the machine but it will not steam.
@TheCraftyAuthor I found why it's not steaming. I guess our water has alot of calciumb and build up inside the machine. I ran some CLR with distilled water. After doing this 3 times and flushed it with distilled water. I put some distilled water and it's with working perfect and has more steam than before. B
I love my rowenta iron like your new one! I use a water bottle to fill the tank so I don't have to remove the reservoir when more water is needed! It was so worth the money!
This model is made in France in the Flers factory. You can see the mention made in France on the box at the bottom left at 2:49. Rowenta has become a French brand and a large part of the production is made in France.
I know a few folks that have that Rowena iron and they really like it.

Hi my safety lock catches on the tip is there a trick on how to seat the iron? Would be so grateful for a video.

What kind of water do you use? I here some say just tap water and not to use distilled because it can put brown spots on material. Great review!
Use distilled, reverse osmosis water or at the very least filtered water. Tap water or unfiltered well water will leave a residue.
I love the rolling ironing table, would u mind sharing where u got it? Thanks, and the iron is neat as well.
I’m also curious! I’d love an ironing table in wheels 😊

I believe this is the same iron that Donna Jordan at Jordan fabrics uses and loves
Awesome new iron
Does yours make a rattling noise after you press 2-3 -4 time the steam button? Just received mine today, the iron steams very well but that noise…..
I have not had any issues with rattling. You might want to return it as that sounds like something might be not quite right with it.
it seems like the first time ironing ?
It says if you use spray starch, spray it on the back of the fabric and if you use the eco button, let it heat up first.
I have a stupid question how does the water get into the iron it is an amazing iron

Just received mine. It never steamed, the ‘fill’ water icon kept flashing even though the container was full. I may just have to return.
I’m so sorry. I would definitely return it. Hopefully, you are able to get a new one sent to you.

Mine has a Flashing Red Light - low on water......but it isn't....Wny thoughts? Anyone?
I would contact the manufacturer. I have not experienced that with my iron. I hope you get the answers you need.
Where do I find the serial number
I'm not really sure. Check underneath the water tank. Also, the original box should have it printed somewhere.
