    For anyone interested, the Brownface Princton circuit is called the "6G2" and is almost the same circuit as the Tweed "5F11" "Vibrolux" circuit. Some slight differences but both should sound similar. Not sure if they did other mods to the circuit for this Chris Stapelton one, but might be useful info if you stumble on a Tweed Vibrolux or want to build one. I have one I built and its a phenomenal sounding amp.

    Nothing sounds better than a telecaster through a fender amp! Just perfection.

    The most fascinating thing about this amp is how it sounds and, judging from the blissful look on your face, how it felt playing it in the room. I’ve heard of this amp from Chris Stapleton’s interviews about it and how rare it is and it definitely does have a unique vibe from standard Princeton amps. I’ll have to try one and see if Fender can get me and $2199US out of my pocket!😎😆 Great jam Shane! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾

    I bought this amp in 2019, but due to Covid restrictions I haven't had much chance to gig it yet. You did a marvelous demo that I really enjoyed, it was a nice change to hear one demo'd properly so that you can really hear the beautiful tones it can produce. Its more compact and lighter than my Fender Bassman to transport to gigs too. I have a Fender 63 reverb tank that gives me the surf sounds I need with the Princeton.

    I've gotta agree with all the other "thumbs up" comments here Shane. One of your best sounding/playing vids for sure.👌
    I'm not necessarily surprised, although I think if push came to shove you'd holla Marshall.
    I wonder if an amp such as this would change your mind? Sure it's pricey, but it's definitely a keeper. 😊😊😊
    Or perhaps similar tones can be achieved from any number of other amps - let's say a '65 Princeton? If a 12" speaker was what really made the difference the 10" could be switched out and you'd still have plenty of change.
    I guess like most of us with cost prohibitive products we look for alternatives that may/can achieve the same result at a more attractive price point.
    No doubt food for thought!
    Excellent review. Cheers. 🎸🎸🎸

    One more comment as a happy owner of this amp too. I concur with your impression that it really works with a Tele. But it shines when I plug my 62 Jazzmaster in. Volume on 4-7, tone 6-7, term speed 1.5, intensity 3. And I leave the trem ALWAYS on…for faster rhythms and leads it doesn’t warble and when you play slowly it SHINES. I hook it up with my genuine Leslie and there it sounds otherworldly beautiful. Btw, great review,great playing, I also have some clips with the amp on my site…..

  • @Mr.D34
    @Mr.D34 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great amp, it sounded smooth even on 6-7 and sounded so raw with the 808. You definitely nailed that Chris Stapleton sound. It has a great tremolo, a reverb would make it better but it has a great room like natural reverb. I think this amp would be great for many styles. It's crazy how much of marketing they do pedals and guitars but not so much with amps. Instead of sending a Acoustasonic to every guitar related youtube channel Fender should be promoting this.

    • @charlesbolton8471
      @charlesbolton8471 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
