You are both are talented paper crafters. I got your project sheet today with the shaker card. It was beautiful & I made it & gave it to my granddaughter today for her Birthday. She loved it. The aluminum heats up too and helps to melt the powder faster and more evenly. I call it my "embossing oven" and it is just chipboard (the brown backing cardboard from the Specialty paper packs) covered with aluminum foil and with paper clips on the edge to hold down the piece that is being embossed. Happy creating!

Susan, what is the board that you used when embossing the Happy Birthday? Is is just cardboard covering with Aluminum foil? What does that do?
