    great bit of kit !! it seems to take the stump down a lot lower than the rotating heavy wheel grinders .Thanks for posting.

    This thing is amazing - Ive watched bunches of those saw blade style stump grinders, but this thing takes the cake hands down! Didnt take much more then a minute to dig it right to the ground

    @rotorstumper That would help alot. My grandfather was always on me about the angle of the PTO. Back in the old days, they wouldn't old up if you went past 45 deg. Nice to see inovation with the double joint rated at 240 hp

    This looks a lot safer than a traditional trailored stump grinder. It is slow and it doesnt not spit would chips every where that could lead to injury like a stump grinder would. Well done if i must say so myself.

  • @lesjohnson7663
    @lesjohnson7663 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    That attachment is very cool, but when you need a used, $75,000 tractor to run it, it gets to be an expensive stump grinder....it does a hell of a job~!

    • @FerriRotor

    • @jwvanliere

      u dont need to use a $75,000 tractor for that u can always buy cheaper second hand tractors that need a little love where i live u can have a tractor up too 160 hp for under 10,000 euro that work fine and look decent

    • @Wildstar40
      @Wildstar40 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Les Johnson LOL Don't you realize how many stumps there are to grind out there ? You see the machine grind 1 stump and you think that is all.Ha ha that machine has probably cleared 3000 stumps since this was posted ROFL !!!!

      My dad bought an 8300 for $42,500. Put $20,000 in it for a remanufactured motor. The original had 10,200 hours.

    • @FerriRotor
      @FerriRotor  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually the average production in 8 hours of work, plantation poplar trees, is about 600 stumps.
      Some customers say they destroy 1000 stumps a day, but better not to overdo it.

    This is a machine designed to large plantations, where you have to remove 800-1000 stumps per day, 3-4 months a year.
    Is logical that not good for parks and gardens

    Well, when I get the tens of thousands of dollars to get a tractor and this attachment, I may as well start hacking away at the stump with my axe - I know I could get the stump out before paying off that expense.
    Not to discount the pleasure gleamed form watching this stump get drilled. Very therapeutic for anybody who has had to manually remove stumps. Thanks!
