A fabulous rendition of this wonderful song. I had thought that I could never listen to this unless Sandy sang it but it brings the song back into the folk tradition. Tout a fait super!
Even though nothing beats the original version with Sandy Denny, still this is a good performance, and I'm happy they still perform this beautiful song
We bought tickets to see Fairport Convention about 15 years ago and they appeared to be tired and bored witless and had no interest in putting on a show for their audience. To add insult to the inflated ticket prices they had brought with them a couple of people from "down under" who regaled the incredulous and very unhappy audience with kookaburra impressions during the interval ! How we didn't laugh.
Beautiful song and the bass work is fantastic

I love this song but I prefer Dave Swarbrick's fiddle solo.

OK. But what's your opinion of this performance?
I saw them in May '22 and they were first rate.
The best version i have ever heard was sang by sandy denny this man is totally totally out of tune he cannot sing to save his life brutal singer
Pretty poor version ,going thru the motions it seems,Richards version is so much better in always
A verbal assault on a beautiful song. Foster and Allen stuff. Yuck !
