Love your Pelikan collection. They are a favorite brand of mine as well. So far my favorite model is the M800. It just fits so comfortably in my hand. The M1000 is on my wishlist. =). Thank you for sharing!
I highly recommend the M 400 white tortoiseshell with a fine nib because it’s like literally such a juicy writer and it was actually my first pelikan fountain pen and the fine definitely goes a lot thicker since it’s a western nib. If I do have to get another pelican, it would probably be the the M400 in blue black and or the classic black and green both with an extra fine nib. and or a M200 with a steel extra fine nip.

Lori I own 2 Pelikan my first was the Cafe Crème with a fine nib which I won at the first meeting of the New Jersey Pen Club which was started by Tom from Goldspot Pens, and my second was an M800 in the Ocean Swirl pattern with a medium nib,it’s areal great writer, got it as a Christmasgift from my great wife when it came out.Really enjoy your videos.
A lovely collection and an interesting video - thank you. That Renaissance is spectacular: I just can't decide whether it would be better for me in a fine or medium. And the more I see it, the more I think that single cap band is a positive development, despite what some people are saying.
I think you might be able to get your M800 cap ring fixed by Pelikan. I had a corroded section ring (poor pen hygiene on my part) on my M600 and reached out to Pelikan's agent here in the UK. They sent the pen back to Hannover and replaced the ring gratis (I think I probably had to pay the initial postage), even though I'd had the pen for several years.

Hope you enjoy the new pens….I swapped a few Pelikan M200 nibs around and have a fine in my Cafe Crème but it came with a Medium. The Fine nibs are bouncy on the M1000 so should be a good choice for long writing sessions.
Perfection! I love all of my Pelikans so much; I'm up to 4 now (and I need to stop 😅), but I think part of the fun is hunting down a good deal. The quality of those nibs just can't be beat though!
I have more than 20 Pelikans, from M120 to M1000, as well as some some that they don't advertise, such as the M900 Toledo, M600 Niagara Falls, the Kilimanjaro, M101N Tortoise shell red, & one called "Lizard." an M140 green stripe with a left oblique nib. and some vintage editions. I favor Pelikans with gold trim and green stripes, although I have other colors, including the Cafe Creme. I used to order my Pelikans with M nibs until I began buying other pen brands that had M nibs which wrote narrower than Pelikan Ms, so now I order with F or XF.

the nice thing about the M200s is that the replacement nibs are a lot cheaper. I got a replacement nib for my M200 for around 22€, and they are easy to swap - you could also swap them between your Cafe and Beryl pens if you feel the need
OH MY WORD that M1000 tortoiseshell. I've been looking at the M1000 green-black for a loooong time in drool-mode. I even got to try one out years ago, and nib, oh the nib! But that tortoise shell is something else.
I've just come out of hospital having been diagnosed with late onset asthma and my "life's too short" purchase justification threshold as a result has dropped significantly!!
The tortoiseshell really looks incredible! I hope you got the care you needed. You definitely deserve a nice pen!

Beautiful! I don't own a Pelikan yet! I haven't been to a Pelikan Hub. I applied to be a Hub Master, but, unfortunately, we didn't have enough people. I live in a rural area. I'll continue to find more people for the Pelikan Hub in 2025. I didn't register for another location because they are 3 and 4 hours away.
Beautiful video. I shouldn’t pen-able but yes one more for a rich color pop would make a balanced handful to display and experience. The inkvent drawer is a magical solution. Bet you’ll use the inks more often now.
Hey Lori, You can get the band of the M800 polished again. I had the same problem with my M800. It tarnishes with humidity or moisture over time.

The M1000 also has 1005 as well. İt's the same idea: the 1005 has silver trim.
That's a solid collection considering your love of neutrals and browns. The M600 red is a beauty that I would recommend since you like smaller pens and it will be a pop of colour that will play well with your neutrals 😉
I have quite an extensive Pelikan collection but if I had to choose I would go with my M1000 Raden Sunrise. That pen is special to me in many ways. But I'm gonna cheat and add my fave M800 as well: it's the Grand Place one with a BB nib! I love that pen's body but man that nib! İt's just fantastic. Unfortunately you can't get those anymore as out of the box choices 😒
My M600 fave is the red one. All the others I had over the years, I either don't use or I passed them along. And anything smaller I just don't get anymore because they are too small for my liking and I have enough Pelikans really..
Out of the 3 big nibs you mentioned, I'd personally prefer the KOP nib every time. But I would add the Pilot Custom Urushi nb30 nib in the mix as well (or the Namiki nb30 as they are the same nib with different designs) And if I put that one in the mix I would be stuck between the KOP and the Pilot 30. They have quite different feels that I love; they are both superb writers out of the box every time; and they both bounce beautifully... totally recommend both

@@timewithtata8004 I have the Kissan Mint tea KOP and it is beautiful in my opinion so I couldn't let it go. I rarely buy new ones anymore because of their prices. They've gone wild over time! But I'm sure you can get a good deal for either this particular one or another KOP pen. You could also get a plain black one and have some maki-e or painting done on it as well; I did that with one of mine. İt will be your very special pen. And if you get the chance to try out a Namiki or a Pilot Custom Urushi at some event/show or try out a friend's pen, I would highly recommend you go for it. I think you would love the nib performances in these; and of course the feel of the urushi lacquer and the makie artistry on the Namikis is just wonderful
So far, I only have Pelikan 200s/205s, but I would love to have a 600 or 800! I actually prefer smaller pens, so I love my "Chicks," but I want to purchase a higher-end pen to commemorate my Retirement next year (35 years of service with the Federal Government--planning on getting the cap engraved.) I just wish Pelikans came in more colors! I did register for a Pelikan Hub--it is actually 3 hours away from me (I live in a tiny, rural town), but my Dad lives in the city, so I can crash at his house afterwards and drive home Saturday morning! It is the closest I will ever get to a Pen Meet-Up!

I was sooo looking forward to going to the Pelikan Hub in Philadelphia this year, but when I tried to register the link has an error. 😞 I even tried it on 3 different browsers and two separate computers. Edit: I so appreciate your thoughts on the M200 Cafe Creme. I have watched reviews of these pens where people say they are cheap and not worth the price for a steel nib. I have an M400 and an M200 and I think the M200 is as good as any other steel nib out there.

Lovely flock! I received my Renaissance Brown a few weeks ago from Appelboom and just love it. I was lucky to have had mine tuned by Anabelle and it is divine. I have 4 Pelikan’s, 3 modern and 1 vintage. On the lookout for one more, a vintage 400nn Tortoise.
