The ships in the ending cutscene weren't Hive; their insatiable thirst for genocide means they have to *constantly* be finding and destroying worlds. No Hive fleet could sit in the empty void of intergalactic space, idle for eons. They'd starve. Those pyramid ships are something else entirely. They appeared as concept art back in 2013, where Bungie described them as a manifestation of the Darkness itself.

It first touches Mercury which we know is the sight of the Osiris expansion. It will feature the Vex. We already know a lot about this. Next is Mars which has a great significance to Rasputin through Charlemagne and whatever Rasputin does. It will feature either the Fallen or the Cabal. I'm a bit unclear on what we will see with this one. Then we are likely to see an expansion relating to the Reef, enemy race probably featuring the Fallen and Variks. It then touches Saturn, where we see both Titan and the Dreadnought still standing. This will obviously be the Hive and relate to Savathun. Next the light touches the Jovians which we know are related to the Nine. This will feature the Nine and their mysteries. Not quite sure what race will be featured though. Finally we see the final part with the pyramidion ships. I believe that this honestly won't be an expansion and will become Destiny 3. I say this because that is 5 expansions, already 1 more than Destiny 1 and such a big thing like this has to either come out in a Taken King like expansion, or just a new game.
TBH I think one of the places the traveler touched in the cinematic will be a "Mini-DLC" or something non-major, just because I think that 5 full DLCs is just a bit too much to expect from bungie, and it'd be kinda weird for them to deviate from a set pattern now that they've gotten comfortable. That being said, we already heard from the nine when trials started back, so I'm putting my money on the nine being part of a mini-expansion in the late game, possibly just a revamped version of trials or a minor mission ark, though I'd genuinely enjoy getting to know what the fuck they actually are. That being said, the reef could be a candidate as well, even though that doesn't make much sense now that POE is confirmed cancelled. Overall, I'm pretty doubtful that the true darkness is going to be featured as an enemy race in D3. Bungie stated that they have a contract with activision to make 5 games of Destiny, so facing the final enemy in the third game is kinda counter-intuitive.

Savathún is coming in shadowkeep as the final raid boss. She's the trickster and we see shadows of our past enemies, but these are illusions and what does she do? Make illusions into tricking people. The Taken are back for a reason. She is trying to revive Oryx by taking. Also when you mention her trying to take the Vex I think it's about to be complete cause people are saying that the raid for shadowkeep is gonna happen in the black garden.
Idk about u guys but I feel like the hive and the fallen are the most interesting enemies of the destiny universe. So, much, lore. So much back story and so much to learn.

Xivu Arath essentially trekked out into deep space to become more powerful than Oryx. That was the last we heard of her. I assume she'll be a Destiny 3 raid encounter--who knows what kind of horrifying power she's been accumulating over all that time.
They do have terrible writing. Most people don't have the time or intuition to go through every small piece of lore they find in the game and then put it all together in a chronological and connected timeline to figure out the story they are trying to tell in their small, broken, and often cryptic pieces of lore.

Because Rasputin was heavily involved with Crota Et Al. And him helping us has already been foreshadowed. A threat like Savathûn could be just the thing he needs to get his ass in gear. I just feel like almost every time we see Rasputin, the Hive are somehow involved. Also, the Taken are probably the only things that could actually breach his bunkers.

So this disturbs me a bit. Finding out that the Playstation exclusive strike contains some very important story and lore means that not only do Xbox and PC players not get a piece of the game, but technically we don't even get the full story... I know this all falls at the feet of money and business decisions at the end of the day, but couldn't Bungie take those decisions into consideration when deciding what to include in the Playstation exclusives? At what point do they just come out and admit that non-Playstation players are, in fact, second class citizens of the Destiny community?
1: If you're talking about the Herald of Savathun, that's a story mission 2: If you're talking about the Savathun Shrieker, that strike is not the PSN Exclusive strike 3: The strike is nothing too special, just something to confirm that Savathun is currently controlling the taken

What if eris is savathune i mean if she really wanted her brother dead then tricking crota to letting in the vex and in turn he gets exiled then killed by us guided by eris, Oryx now doesnt have a blood line any more and may try to resurrect crota so he comes to sol. Then dies his final true death by none other than the same guardian guided by eris during the raids. And let's not forget to point out that trans dimensional teleportation thing she did from the tower... god like or too o.p. and also if everyone in that fireteam died except her "and toland" wouldnt it safe to assume the real eris is one of 2 things, long since dead and is now a disguise for the god of trickery ,or being controlled or manipulated but savathune. idk but it does make sense to me it's just the perfect destruction of someone you dont want around and the fact the she is gone now, and knew of the impending red legion or at least some force on its way to us with a fight, and then to also inquire about Nokris from the newly "vexified" Asher Mer, Nokris who infront of Oryx's alter, has a statue parallel to Crota's but why inquire about it if even the world's grave has no refference to such and apparently mighty hive ascendant... unless eris knows he can return or will return and if she is being manipulated by savathune who would know if Nokris is Oryx's spawn than it would make sense for her to pursue him rather than the other 2 gods that still remain, like that should be a more prevalent threat than destroying Crota's family for killing her fireteam... I can go on about this more but i think the bad grammar or the attempt at any grammar made this too hard to read, but i am sorry. that is my theory of Eris and the secret behind her

Wanted to give you kudos to all the work you do. I stumbled on your channel trying to understand the destiny mythos to get more out of d2 having only played vanilla destiny. And now im to a point where i started nerding out seeing references to savathuns might and savathuns tongue in the infinite forest.

Xivu left Oryx after The Battle of Harmony because she believed "Oryx was holding her back"
No he killed both of his sister to get enough power to survive, then he almost destroyed all of that other faction and brought back Xivu with war, then he brought back savathun with trickery
Xivu Arath essentially trekked out into deep space to become more powerful than Oryx. That was the last we heard of her. I assume she'll be a Destiny 3 raid encounter--who knows what kind of horrifying power she's been accumulating over all that time.

They do have terrible writing. Most people don't have the time or intuition to go through every small piece of lore they find in the game and then put it all together in a chronological and connected timeline to figure out the story they are trying to tell in their small, broken, and often cryptic pieces of lore.
@@shrike6243 The beginning of Destiny's franchise had pretty bad writing, but, that was only because it would all make sense the farther and deeper you went. Destiny has hit it's 2 book, and there are more tales to tell than enemies to kill.

Because Rasputin was heavily involved with Crota Et Al. And him helping us has already been foreshadowed. A threat like Savathûn could be just the thing he needs to get his ass in gear. I just feel like almost every time we see Rasputin, the Hive are somehow involved.
Also, the Taken are probably the only things that could actually breach his bunkers.

So this disturbs me a bit. Finding out that the Playstation exclusive strike contains some very important story and lore means that not only do Xbox and PC players not get a piece of the game, but technically we don't even get the full story... I know this all falls at the feet of money and business decisions at the end of the day, but couldn't Bungie take those decisions into consideration when deciding what to include in the Playstation exclusives? At what point do they just come out and admit that non-Playstation players are, in fact, second class citizens of the Destiny community?
1: If you're talking about the Herald of Savathun, that's a story mission
2: If you're talking about the Savathun Shrieker, that strike is not the PSN Exclusive strike
3: The strike is nothing too special, just something to confirm that Savathun is currently controlling the taken

Thank you for making this video I was wondering about that taken cabal in that strike. I had a feeling he was new not just the game but to the taken. That's why you're good at what you do keep it up man love your stuff
What if eris is savathune i mean if she really wanted her brother dead then tricking crota to letting in the vex and in turn he gets exiled then killed by us guided by eris, Oryx now doesnt have a blood line any more and may try to resurrect crota so he comes to sol. Then dies his final true death by none other than the same guardian guided by eris during the raids. And let's not forget to point out that trans dimensional teleportation thing she did from the tower... god like or too o.p. and also if everyone in that fireteam died except her "and toland" wouldnt it safe to assume the real eris is one of 2 things, long since dead and is now a disguise for the god of trickery ,or being controlled or manipulated but savathune. idk but it does make sense to me it's just the perfect destruction of someone you dont want around and the fact the she is gone now, and knew of the impending red legion or at least some force on its way to us with a fight, and then to also inquire about Nokris from the newly "vexified" Asher Mer, Nokris who infront of Oryx's alter, has a statue parallel to Crota's but why inquire about it if even the world's grave has no refference to such and apparently mighty hive ascendant... unless eris knows he can return or will return and if she is being manipulated by savathune who would know if Nokris is Oryx's spawn than it would make sense for her to pursue him rather than the other 2 gods that still remain, like that should be a more prevalent threat than destroying Crota's family for killing her fireteam... I can go on about this more but i think the bad grammar or the attempt at any grammar made this too hard to read, but i am sorry. that is my theory of Eris and the secret behind her
P.s. At the begining when i was talking about he wanting her brother dead having crota killed who would eventually seek retribution for what she had done makes sense
