I would love for them to implement this theory if they ever make a sequel to the live action movie. I remember in the book Tales from Agrabah, that Jasmine is shown as a little girl and it's mentioned that her mother had recently passed away. In another book there was a picture of Jasmine's mother and she looked almost identical to Jasmine.
The animated movie left it ambiguous because it was not relevant to the story. Aladdin had undergone many changes, including Aladdin and his own mother being scrapped from the original storyline. (He was aged up to make him more compatible with Jasmine's design and his mother character scrapped but Disney returned to this storyline for the Aladdin Musical). It wasn't until the live action, they needed to give Jafar motive or ways to paint him the villain. It felt like Guy Richie had a different vision for the live-action version, and if they scrapped the songs but focused on developing the story, it would have been another layer to the Aladdin universe. In the TV show spinoff, not much was mentioned about Jasmine's mother but there were a few characters that trapped Jasmine as a flower since the young Sultan took a flower king's own wife as a gift for his own wife, an intense feeling young prince that his emotions impacted the villagers, or when Jasmine was turned into a mouse and saw the plight of her people from a different perspective. The Return of Jafar was a direct to video movie that continued the Aladdin series/adventures of Aladdin and Jasmine. It gave the creators more ways to play with their IPs until, of course, more recently.
I'm thinking Prince Anders would make a good villain for a sequel. Jasmine choosing a lowly commoner (a "street rat" even) over him could be seen as a *MAJOR* insult, which could lead to an all out war between them.
We should discuss why Jasmine dislikes Jarfar so much or better yet hates his guts as pointed out Jarfar likely killed her mother because he wanted more power & wanted to rule both kingdoms he comitted a crime, was imprisoned for years but contiued to study magic. While harboring a grudge against the Sultana's home, people & possibly the Sultana herself maybe Jafar lusted after her at one point but she rejected his advances plus she was promised to the Sultan of Agrabah. When he was released he had already plotted his revenge, left Sherabad for awhile & came back to Agrabah this time he was the powerful sorcerer we know him now & he acquired his snake staff & his parrot companion Iago. By this time Jasmine's mom was married to the Sultan & gave birth to Jasmine Jafar walked into the palace offering his services to the Sultan the Sultana is horrified, disgusted & suspicous. She tries to inform her husband of Jafar's past but he ignores her warnings & allows Jafar a place in his court the Sultana thinks her husband is a fool secretly she decides to keep an eye on Jafar & find a way to get rid of him once & for all. The Sultana was loved by the people of both kingdoms she wants Jasmine to have the same compassion, strength, endurance, will & kindness to rule the kingdom when Jasmine marries herself one day. The Sultana probably had planned to allow Jasmine to choose whom she wanted to marry when she was older Jasmine was probably very close to her mother she wanted to be like her when she grew up. Jafar in the meantime was watching not only the Sultana but her daughter as well he was watching everything that went on in the palace he had Iago as his 2nd eyes & ears to look for ways to get rid of the Sultan & take the kingdom for himself. Jasmine asks her mom about Jafar & says he scares her the Sultana knows she needs to try to get rid of him soon she already caught him staring at her daughter with interest looking for ways to use Jasmine in his twisted games. She finally tells Jafar whatever he's planning she'll put a stop to him Jafar just sneers at her saying he has the Sultan's confidence & there's nothing she can do about it. He has ways of getting what he wants to which the snake eyes of his staff starts to glow the Sultana realizes how he was able to manipulate her husband she brings up his past & Jafar glares at her she then walks away leaving a fuming sorcerer. What none of them notice is a young Jasmine listening in on their conversations Jasmine is shocked at what she heard & flees to her room. Jumping ahead the Sultana dies under mysterious circumstances the entire kingdom is in mourning, along with the Sultan but non more devastated than Jasmine. Later on she notices that Jafar is acting strangely she can see he's not really all that sad her mother died she becomes suspicious that he killed her mother. Jasmine remembers her mom telling her to be careful around Jafar & that he is not to be trusted so over the years Jasmine's dislike of Jafar continues to grow like her mother she sees how he manipulates her father. Then her dad tells her it's time for her to get married & he has sent messages to suitors far & wide to ask for her hand Jasmine hates this & as we see in the movie she rejects everyone of of them which frustrates her dad. After she meets Aladdin & he's taken to prison by Jafar's orders Jasmine tells her dad what Jafar did the when the Sultan makes his daughter & Jafar make up Jasmine hisses a promise at the sorcerer "At least some good will come with me being forced to marry, when I become queen I shall have the power to get rid of you" And she gets in his face when she says this implicating that she will make good on her threat that she will do what her mother had set out to do. Jasmine may have tried to warn her father about Jafar but he dismisses her warnings Jasmine is determined to rid her father & Agrabah of Jar she was just a ltlle powerless to do so until she meets Prince Ali who is really Aladdin in disguise. In the live action the genie tells Aladdin Jafar has the palace & the Sultan under his command until Aladdin mentions that not everyone is under Jafar's manipulations. The one person who sees through the sorceror's games, lies & shares a deep dislike for him , Jasmine.
In the animated series in the early 2000s she died due to a curse Jasmine’s father angered a witch so most of you are wrong Jazmine only knew her mom from a very young age
I just had an idea of what I think happened so I think that Jaffar was maybe Jasmine uncle how didn't know get the rights to the throne or else he was some how related to her some
this video could have been half the time given that the second half of it was just the first half being repeated. if you want to debate something or put forth a theory, it's less impactful if you have to repeat the same points over and over again to pad out your argument. even if you only had a couple points to make in the first place. if your theory/argument needs to be padded out to stand on its own, then it's too weak. and you need to do more study and/or research to find more solid information to back your stance.

When I first heard about Jasmine’s mom, I thought that she either died in childbirth or was killed by Jafar and now I finally know
She was also mentioned in the tv series
I haven’t seen the life action movie and barely watched the show version but I had usually assumed that Jasmine’s mother died in childbirth.
I'm thinking Prince Anders would make a good villain for a sequel. Jasmine choosing a lowly commoner (a "street rat" even) over him could be seen as a *MAJOR* insult, which could lead to an all out war between them.
Hmmm I think she died at child birth or died from illness as us common in the time period of the movie
I guess Jasmine Mother Died from Jafar before she was insulted from him just because Jafar wanted to rule their world.
How do you make your thumbnails I love them
Jafar did killed Jasmine's mother and Jafar wants Jasmine to get married and ruler kingdom of Agrabah
Jafar killed her
And maybe Saluk killed Aladdin's mother
@@jacopobrusa6033 indeed
I'm really not interested in new plot points being crowbared into existing stories.

Yeah I always thought he was the one who killed her
I think the live action movie only came up with that backstory as an excuse for Jasmine’s actress being of (half) South Asian descent.
In the animated series in the early 2000s she died due to a curse Jasmine’s father angered a witch so most of you are wrong Jazmine only knew her mom from a very young age
Right and Jaz was turned into a snake or something🤔💯 I think I remember that episode..... Loved Aladdin👳🐒🧞♂️ and the little mermaid👌🙎💦
@@kekemanning03 yes it was the episode she gets turned into a Cobra Snake
It was Mozenrath, the animated Kylo Ren.
GREAT DELUXE VIDEO ❤❤❤
South Asia is india
2nd!! idk if it means anything, but I'm proud of myself.😂
