This is a spectacular demo, succinct and very well done! It demonstrates the multitudes of sounds the amplifier is capable of and the time stamps make it even better. My JVM410H actually just arrived this morning, swapped out the JVM210H and realized what I have been missing all along.

Nah, I am selling mine. Trying to get rid of it for months for 700 Euro but nobody is interested. And it's modded to get rid of that awful amount of hiss on the OD channels..Marshall is not so popular around here in Belgium anymore or should I say tube amps in general are not that popular...Btw, this is a well recorded video and I must say the amp sounds good here, but I'm sure you could make a Marshall MS2 sound decent in a studio.

I love that some of your riffing is akin to 90s alt / emo stuff, like thingy or sunny day. my father has been trying to push this amp on me for years and I'm finally checking it out and I can truly say I'm impressed. thing sounds great, especially with the price point compared to modern SLPs and such.
good ole JVM, I got in on these right out of the gate. You did a great job showing the versatility of the amp. To me the crunch and clean channels are the two best channels......the OD1 on green and OD2 on green are also very usable......but you showed the secret to being able to use the OD channels on orange or red, keep the gain below noon on the dial......taking it up past that just takes the tone into places that to me are not overly usable. thanks for posting!
You do a great job showing the versatility of this amp! I have just started to experiment with all of the tones she has to offer over the past year. For years I was an “OD 1 on orange” guy and almost exclusively used that channel and settings. Now I find I spend a good amount of time on the first three channels and all of their gain settings! If I'm ever about to get my first real and big tube amp (that I always wanted to have, but I'll also need an Atenuator and stuff for daily use and well... money), I somewhat decided that it'll be this one; it just sounds kickass in so many scenarios, saw it being used from indie rock up to CoB and even more modern metal and it sounded great all the time. Also idk should I add that this demo is fckn awesome? I mean thats evident lol but here's your well deserved, but scanty pay for the hard work: Great review, loved it! Marshall's best amp for sure...Great cleans to plexi style , jcm 800 and higher metal gain..It can do it all..Probably best all round most flexible amp ever made actually
Awesome demo, possibly the best anywhere for such a feature packed amp. Lots of people complain about these amps but the thing about Marshall amps in general is they don't sound good until you drive the power amp. It will be loud AF so if you get one find a solution for that or just get something else

I agree, I just don't understand why anyone wouldn't love this amp.I'm admittedly a Marshall guy, but come on....I had a JCM800 I regret parting with & still have a late 70s 50 watt JMP head but this thing simply smokes any other amp I've ever owned.And the "too complicated/too many knobs" crowd just make me laugh.....really? Couldn't be simpler: 4 channels set up like a single channel amp.I think most people just look at all the knobs & get put off, but it's dead simple really. I can get anything from vintage rock/blues up to the most raging thrash/death metal & it does it with aplomb.Turn the volume up a bit people, play through a classic Marshall 4x12 1960 cab with Vintage 30s....& speaking of vol., the 2 Master Volumes really do this amp justice.....I A/B'd it with a 5150, a Dual Rec & a EVH 5153....hands down the Marshall smoked 'em all.....so I bought it
@@Stitsel I agree. I had the 5153 and I sold it after buy the JVM. As you said, JVM is a very simple amp to manage and everyone will find your sound quickly. The 2 master volumes are perfect, you can have one for the riff sounds and another one for the lead sound. Probably I will never sell this amp. Another amp that is great is the Peavy 6505+, this amp is so f.... amazing.

I just picked up one of these today...I got it for a good price,but I was skeptical because of the bad reviews here and there......I don’t think I have ever been as impressed with an amp as the JVM410H.....it just sounds amazing,and no,it’s not noisy and hissy.....if you max out the gain on OD2 Red,yeah,it’s gonna hiss a little...what high gain amp won’t?its really a great sounding Marshall...One of the best Marshall’s I have ever owned....and I have owned many....

Tried many Marshalls before I got a 410h. It just has everything you can dream about and Marshall sounds from Plexi/800/900 all the way up to Death Metal and beyond. While having 2 MV, 2 FX Loops, Midi controllable etc etc
That and using less gain than you think you need...this amp has a silly amount of gain on tap and is sensitive in very short changes of the gain knob, haha
Josh Bittner Yes. Beyond 12 it's basically useless. Don't know why the designer didn't even out the usable gain range to the knobs. My settings basically remain unchanged once I dialed it right ...
LOVE THE VIDEO! I just got the JVM 410H few days ago. I love it. The only thing I can't figure out are optimal FX loop settings. My reverb, chorus and delay sounds very quiet. How would you recommend setting it up?
All of my amps will recieve this 'in-depth' treatment at some point. I currently have 26 amps so I won't be able to go through them all quickly haha. Amps with only one channel or two will get more drive/boost pedal usage.

GREAT!!! Does it have a good tone if the power is not turned up a lot? For a rehearsal room does it sound good or do you recommend reducing the power so that it has a good saturating tone? It is a pity that they did not release one with the same channels and features but 50 watts
I own one of these. Anyone on the fence about buying one just go for it. Its the most dynamic Marshall out there. Paired with some pedals you got any tone your chasing,
Cool stuff. I also have a JVM410H. I did the Plexi Cap, Blackface Clean, Crunch 1959, OD1 JCM800, OD2 Rectifier, 3rd Gain Stage Bias, and Variable Negative Feedback mods, along with doing the Variable Slope Resistor mod to the Clean OD1 & OD2 channels. As good as the JVM is, these mods take it over the top. The only one I didn't care for was the JCM800 OD1 mod. It made it more tubby to my ears, and I feel that the Third Gain Stage mod is unnecessary.

Good question! I love them both for different reasons... The Grandmeister is more versatile perhaps and I prefer the cleans on that one but the Marshall is just better at those British gain tones.
@@SonicDriveStudio Same conclusion.... But I got the grandmeister due to it's portability and "ready to rock" thing that grand had. But for pure British gain the JVM IS UNBEATABLE..... with a noise suppressor.... 😉
@Jeremy Conner I use the boost from the amp..... Haven't tried any other boost pedal with the deluxe. How is the ts9 in comparison with the inbuilb booster?
@@emiliomargarit1496 Yes.,but there is a built in noise gate which comes with the amp. And works perfectly no need for an external if we are talking for the grandmeister deluxe. If for the JVM then you certainly need an external noise suppressor. It's very noisy.

That Red OD2 channel will melt your face right off. Modern Hi gain at its finest in that mode

It is a great amp. But compared to an 800 for that one tone it can't get it . Too modern of a sound.

That clean red channel with the LTD sounded so good. I have this amp and mine doesn't sound that good on clean red

@Jeremy Conner I use the boost from the amp..... Haven't tried any other boost pedal with the deluxe. How is the ts9 in comparison with the inbuilb booster?

Yes.,but there is a built in noise gate which comes with the amp. And works perfectly no need for an external if we are talking for the grandmeister deluxe. If for the JVM then you certainly need an external noise suppressor. It's very noisy.

I am about to buy my first amp and it came down to or the H-K Grandmeister 40 deluxe or this one. Wich do you recommend? I know both are great amps but ahh I just can not make a descision... happy ny etc
If you really want something that sounds like a Marshall, go for the JVM.
I like that first riff with that baby blue Tele 👍. Sounds like the punk /math rock stuff i listen to.
