@@johnathandaviddunster38 Oh I'm not ignorant about Racism. I. just preferred it back in the 50's when I was a young child. The Good old days as we called them when life seemed a whole lot better. It just happened to be true that there weren't many coloured people about just as there where very few transistor radios and I see no Ford Escorts or Vauxhall Viva's in the videos... just making an observation but sadly some people make an issue about anything connected to someone's race. Its a troublesome world when someone jumps on the race wagon at the soonest opportunity
@@hazzard8760what a pathetic response! The video is about overcrowded parking in London but the observation you chose to make in your original comment is ‘virtually none of our friends from overseas’. How is that not covert racism? I mean if you want to be racist at least have the balls to admit it when people call you out on it. Personally I’m grateful people came from overseas to help Britain get back on its feet after the war to do the job the indigenous population didn’t want to do - but you know you keep on hating.
I can still name most of these cars - my dad had a Hillman Minx, quite a few to be seen there.
Thanks British Pathé, for all these great videos. Amazing time-travels.
At 0:37 LH bus has posters for 'The Bridge Over The River Kwai' at The Plaza Oct 3 -Nov 22 1957.
Perhaps it should be called London Traffic and parking. Thanks for giving us the chance of remembering a golden age.
In other words, just park anywhere that you like. Great film thank you for sharing
I don't know if I miss counted only 6 foreign cars. 3 bubble cars one Mercedes convertible one Peugeot and a fantastic Cadillac.😊
Why the hell no sound with this. Seen a few Path clips and again no sound! Great video still
Same crowded streets but with one huge difference.. virtually none of our friends from overseas
Pity the ignorance of RACISM...

Go back in the 50s and never come back bye racist
Would like to see any of the cars parked against the kerb try and get out!.
No yellow lines brilliant.
Ahh, the good old days.
This video is a 7 minute substantiation of yellow lines, which came in the early 60s............
Like Bombay roads
London has changed for the worst now it’s just a horrible city now if you could go back in time I surely would
Rose tinted glasses as usual. Your privileges of benefits, assured pensions, healthcare etc would be much worse 🙄
New york
Parking = dump and run 😊
wish you park where you like now, for free
