- We remove the budget on3 88mm turbo and put a Forced Inductions S485 on the sleeper 1985 Ford LTD. Easily made over 1000hp with a very soft tune. How will the $400 Junkyard SBE hold up and how much more abuse can it take? Be sure to check out the next video where we try to make over 1200 hp!

God thats a massive turbo. Makes the stock Mitsubishi TD04 13c on my car look like a fidget spinner lol.
Smallest Pushrod V8 GM made from 1999+ , big turbo, id combo turbo it or supercharger feeding a turbo.
Check out the GM Atlas 2800, 2900, 3500, 3700, 4200, stuff it in a mitsu/suby/nissan/honda/mazda/toyota or the luxury variants, or german cars lol

O2 sensor not picking up the rich condition when boost was blowing the candles out? You mentioned you looked at the logs. Figured something would show up, but maybe the sensor location is making it very inaccurate.

How long did this build last?
Type if other than stock: Max rpm , max rocker lift, pushrod length?
Let us know how that works out for you in the reliability department... And no bullshitting. I've been there, and done that, with stock bottom-end 4.8's and they don't last too long before they scatter at those power levels. The reality is, yep, one can post big numbers to the internet with one, but it's not going to last like a proper built bottom end will. Good luck with it either way, 1000h.p. is still impressive, whether it lasts or not.
This 4.8 has been in this car since 2017 it’s never missed a beat. Tune up has everything to do with why it lasts. A bad tune is why 95 percent of other stock bottom ends blow up.

Probably has been, I know Richard holdener does it to keep it from failure
Man that 69 camaro would go great with my hugger orange 99 as well.

How much boost can a stock Gen 4 4.8L with NO ring gap handle?
30+ all day long. We’ve done it on multiple engines. Most people break ringlands due to timing.

Gen 3.5 24x crank with gen 4 internals. Came in 04-06 trucks. We should have a video real soon with more details.

It has a Team Z k member with their mounts.
What did it make on 20psi, what is the timing at?
It made 899 on 25 psi. Timing was probably around 15 deg on 25 psi.

Little more boost 32 vs 27. But way less timing. Trying to keep the stock rods happy.

It’s going on a friends car. On3 sells them for like $550. Vs racing also sells great turbos for cheap. Look up turbo4less.com

No sir. Engine has all stock bearings, stock rods, stock pistons, and a stock crankshaft.

Any kind of turbo cam, a good set of springs, a smaller sized turbo, and a good tuner and you’ll be good. Too many people get caught up in having a perfect setup and spend way too much money. You’ll be killing your 4l60 about every 2 minutes though lol.

I don’t remember if we did the rings in this engine or not. This car was put together 4 years ago. But I know I’ve made this kind of power in another car with the same turbo with untouched rings in a 4.8 and a 5.3.

3 weeks of him dicking around and everything hooked up , He could not get converter bolts in . Engine was seized.
Our fault for the lack of Oversight I guess.
